SOUTH TOWNSHIPS
7/14 Location: 100 block of S. Front St. Reed
Summary: Jason Gregory, age 46, of 275 Lake St. in South Wilmington was cited for driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lighting.
Location: S. Rt. 53 and W. Hoff Road Jackson
Summary: Lucas Burns, age 20, of 21526 Trick Circle Court in Wilmington was cited for aggravated speeding and no seat belts.
Location: S. Rt. 53 and W. South Arsenal Road Wilmington
Summary: Kristin Williams, age 22, of 205 Daniels St. in Wilmington was cited for aggravated speeding.
7/19 Location: E. Rose Lane Reed
Summary: Victim stated that she received a call from a man who said he worked for Amazon and that there was a fraudulent purchase for over $1,500 on her Amazon account. The man on the phone then told the victim that he would transfer their call to her bank. Upon being transferred, the victim was connected to another man who stated that he was an accountant at the bank’s Fraud Security Office.
The victim was then told that after looking at her account, there was another fraudulent pre-approved transaction for $5,000. The victim was told that he cleared up the fraudulent Amazon purchase/withdrawal. But in order to clear up the $5,000 transaction, she had to withdraw $5,000 from her account, purchase pre-paid cards for $5,000, and then give the gift card numbers to the ‘bank accountant’ to redeposit the money into the account. The victim did exactly as directed. After the Fraud Security accountant ‘cleared up the attempted $5,000 withdrawal’, the victim was told there was another hacking in her account for $20,000. This is when the victim became suspicious, ended the call, and contacted police.
EAST TOWNSHIPS
7/13 Location: W. Peotone-Beecher and S. Egyptian Trail Peotone
Summary: Mohammed Musleh, age 35, of 7805 W. 157th St. in Orland Park was cited for driving while license suspended, speeding, and no seat belts.
Location: W. Wilmington-Peotone and S. Schroeder Peotone
Summary: Nick Connolly, age 33, of 532 S. Schroeder in Peotone was cited for obstructing a peace officer and illegal screeching of tires.
7/14 Location: 3800 block of W. Stuenkel Road Crete
Summary: Person/s unknown stole an Amazon package from the front step of a residence.
7/15 Location: 3400 block of W. Corning Road Will
Summary: Person/s unknown dumped several bags of dead animal parts near the bridge on Corning Road. A juvenile was in the area near the creek when he saw the bags and could smell a foul odor. The juvenile reported the bags to his father and Sheriff’s deputies came to the scene. Upon arrival deputies cut open one of the bags and observed the innards and hooves of, what appeared to be, a large sheep or small cow. Will Township Conservation was contacted.
Location: 20000 block of S. Yates Avenue Beecher
Summary: A resident reported that on 7/11/21 around 2pm, the doorbell rang and she observed six unknown men on her property. One of the men asked if she needed work done on her fence. The victim stated she did. She was instructed to go to the bank and withdraw money for the work to be completed. The victim went to the bank while the men remained on her property. Upon returning to her residence, the men were gone. She later discovered that five rings were missing from inside her home.
7/16 Location: 47 Meadowlark Washington
Summary: Elyse Widtmann, age 48, of 47 Meadowlark Lane in Beecher was arrested for aggravated battery to a police officer, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.
7/19 Location: 24000 block of S. Meadow wood Road Crete
Summary: Person/s unknown broke the window of a vehicle in order to gain entry. A key port lock was removed from the vehicle.
LOCKPORT
7/19 Location: 20000 block of W. Mary Drive
Summary: Person/s unknown broke the window of a vehicle in order to gain entry. Offender/s stole a wallet with USC inside, a FOID card, and a debit card.
WEST TOWNSHIPS
7/13 Location: 25000 block of W. Renwick Road
Summary: Brandon A. Carr, age 19, of 1718 Highland Woods Court in Plainfield was arrested for possession of cannabis by driver, resisting arrest and two counts of possession of fraudulent driver’s lciense.
Location: 22110 W. Miller Drive Plainfield
Summary: Ronald A. Lynch, age 26, of this address, was arrested for aggravated battery to a police officer and aggravated assault.
7/17 Location: 22000 block of W. Renwick Road Plainfield
Summary: Kiara Rodriguez, age 20, of 1574 Sunflower Drive in Romeoville was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX
7/13 Location: Frankfort Township
Summary: Sheriff’s deputies conducted a Will County Alcohol and Tobacco compliance check at various establishments within the unincorporated areas of Frankfort. Six businesses successfully refused sales without proper identification and four violation citations were written to businesses that failed the compliance check.
7/14 Location: 7818 W. Lincoln Highway All Stars Sports Bar
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 2015 Chrysler 200 from the parking lot of the business.
7/15 Location: 7826 W. Lincoln Highway Frankfort Auto Clinic
Summary: One male/white subject and a second male subject stole a 2011 Audi Q7 from the above listed business parking lot. The offenders were observed in a dark colored Nissan prior to the theft.
7/18 Location: 12000 block of W. 184th Place Frankfort
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 2018 Jeep from the driveway of a residence. The doors were locked and the owner was still in possession of both sets of keys at time of theft.
7/19 Location: 18000 block of S. Wolf Road Dobson Landscaping Mokena
Summary: Owner stated that he observed four males attempting to make entry into vehicles parked at the business. When the owner turned on the outdoor lights, the offender/s fled the scene in a grey vehicle.
JOLIET
7/14 Location: S. Chicago and I80
Summary: Eddie E. Brown III, age 19, of 500 Cleveland in Bourbonnais was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying a traffic control device.
Location: 1600 block of Rickey Drive
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a purse from a vehicle.
7/15 Location: Manhattan Road and W. Laraway Road
Summary: Kevin Bonds, Sr., age 62, of 1420 Cleveland Avenue in Danville was cited for improper passing, no seat belts, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license revoked.
Location: S. Briggs and 2nd Avenue
Summary: Luis Garcia-Venegas, age 32, of 416 Manhattan Road in Joliet was cited for aggravated speeding.
7/17 Location: W. Jefferson and Stryker Avenue
Summary: Isaac Norfleet, age 47, of 1544 Marquette in Joliet was cited for aggravated driving while license revoked and speeding.
7/18 Location: N. Briggs and Sterling
Summary: Torrina Dunn, age 24, of 6253 Sunflower Drive in Matteson was cited for speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Location: 1400 block of Eunice Avenue
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 2016 GMC Terrain from the driveway of a resident.
Location: 630 Gardner St. Terrace Inn Lounge
Summary: Deputies responded to a shots fired call. Joliet Police were on scene upon deputy’s arrival. Joliet Police advised that while on the way to the scene they heard approximately 20 shots fired in the area. After interviewing those on scene, deputies were advised that a disturbance had occurred inside the bar and a patron had been kicked out. A short time later, shots were fired. Three vehicles in the area were struck with a bullet. Vehicle owners stated that they were inside the lounge when the shooting occurred. Shell casings were located near the front door of the lounge. Owner stated that after the disturbance he went outside the lounge when gunfire began in the direction of the lounge. The owner stated that he returned fire but he was not aware of anyone being injured. The owner holds an active FOID card. He was not charged pending further investigation.
7/19 Location: S. Briggs and E. Washington
Summary: Marcus Mares, age 50, of 2236 Clarence Avenue in Berwyn was cited for speeding, failure to signal and was taken into custody on an active Will County FTA warrant.
Location: 1700 block of Houston
Summary: An unknown male wearing black shoes, gray pants and a red hooded sweatshirt was observed on video surveillance attempting to enter five vehicles at a residence. Four of the vehicles were locked and the offender failed to enter them. The fifth vehicle was not locked. Stolen was $1,000, a Dewalt drill and a 112-piece Dewalt socket set.
HOMER GLEN
7/16 Location: 16000 block of S. Ashley Court
Summary: Dennis Harris, age 65, of 12400 W. Hadley Road in Homer Glen was charged with disorderly conduct.
7/18 Location: 12000 block of W. Shellbark Drive
Summary: At 2:16am, three unknown subjects were observed on video surveillance walking up a driveway and entering a vehicle. A business check was stolen.
