$1 MILLION BOND SET IN CRIMINAL SEX ASSAULT ARREST - JOLIET TOWNSHIP
The Will County Sheriff's Office has arrested Earl Pugh, age 28, of 1523 1/2 Oakland in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on multiple criminal sexual assault charges.
In April 2021, the Sheriff's Office was notified by the mother of a female that she believed her juvenile daughter was the victim of sexual assault and ongoing inappropriate social media communications by a relative, Earl Pugh. Sheriff's detectives began their investigation and held interviews, conducted search warrants and gathered evidence. Upon completion of their investigation, detectives were granted a warrant for the arrest of Earl Pugh.
This morning, the Will County Sheriff's Office Warrant Division served the warrant at the home of Pugh in Ft. Wayne, IN. He was transported to the Sheriff's Investigations Division where he was interviewed and made statements implicating himself in these crimes. He was charged with predatory criminal sexual abuse of a child, attempted aggravated criminal sexual assault, unlawful grooming, solicitation to meet a child, and two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. He is being held at the Adult Detention Facility on a $1 million bond (10% to apply).
