SOUTH TOWNSHIPS
3/27 Location: S. Redstone Drive Manhattan
Summary: Deputies were called to a residence to take a report regarding a potential scam. Victim stated that he received a phone call from a blocked number and answered it. He was greeted by a subject who stated that the victims personal banking accounts had been comprised and there was also an active warrant for his arrest. Victim was then transferred to another male subject who identified himself as Antonio Perez. Perez instructed the victim in order to get the warrants cleared he must empty his bank account and pay him. Victim was then instructed to go to Walmart and conduct a green dot money transfer in the amount of $15,700. The victim conducted 11 transactions in order to send the entire amount.
After returning home the victim believed that he may have been scammed. The deputies confirmed that he was.
EAST TOWNSHIPS
3/21 Location: E. 34th St. and Lewis Avenue Monee
Summary: Abel Antonio, age 26, of 234 Dorsetshire Drive in Steger was arrested for DUI, no valid driver’s license, failure to notify SOS of address change and driving without lights.
Location: 23000 block of S. Ashland Avenue Crete
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 2014 Ford Mustang from the driveway of a residence. Steger Police later advised that they had recovered the vehicle in their jurisdiction. The vehicle had been crashed with a witness stating they observed a single person running from the scene after the crash.
3/24 Location: 918 Union Drive University Park
Summary: Eugene Brown III, age 20, of this address was arrested for operating vehicle with suspended registration, disobeying a stop sign, and fleeing/eluding a peace officer.
3/26 Location: S. Rt. 394 and W. Elms Court Lane Crete
Summary: Edwin Mendez, age 21, of East Hazel Crest was cited for aggravated speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
WEST TOWNSHIPS
3/21 Location: 17200 S. Frontage Road Plainfield Van Horn Woods
Summary: Deputies responded to the park regarding found deceased animals in the woods. Upon arrival deputies observed a plastic bag and a cardboard box containing three decayed roosters and two infant goats. The containers with carcasses were discovered about 50 feet from the walking path. Plainfield Park District was contacted to dispose of the animals.
3/27 Location: 10000 block of S. Clow Creek Rd. Plainfield
Summary: Person/s unknown entered a construction site and stole two Miller welders. The welders were valued at $4,000 each.
FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX
3/21 Location: S. Frankfort Square Road and W. Jamison Frankfort
Summary: Jonathan Fabian, age 35, of Frankfort was cited for driving with suspended driver’s license.
Location: 18000 block of S. Christine Court Frankfort
Summary: An unknown female was observed getting out of a Chevy sedan with heavy window tinting in front of a residence. The subject was carrying a white plastic amazon package and approached the front door. The subject grabbed a package off the front porch and left the amazon bag on the porch. The package was found to be empty with an address of another residence in Mokena.
Location: 18000 block of S. Parker Road Frankfort
Summary: Victim stated that while reviewing his home surveillance he observed a Chevy sedan with heavy window tinting pull to the end of his driveway. An unknown female subject approached his front door and grabbed a package off the porch that contained two replacement wheelchair wheels. The female returned to the vehicle and entered in the rear passenger side. Two hours later the victim informed deputies that someone down the street from his residence had found the stolen package on the roadside. The wheels were still inside.
Location: S. Harlem and Vollmer Road Frankfort
Summary: Travaris Martin, age 51, of Chicago was cited for aggravated speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
3/23 Location: 7818 W. Lincoln Highway All Stars Bar Frankfort
Summary: Deputies responded to an activated alarm at 3:25am. Upon arrival they observed a door that had been pried open and was damaged. The door allowed access to Hot Grill, a business adjacent to All Stars. Deputies completed a search for subjects but met with negative results. Deputies did observe an ATM located at All Stars to have pry marks on it. Offender/s were unsuccessful in opening the ATM.
LOCKPORT
3/25 Location: E. Division and Read St.
Summary: Alicia Johnson-Medrano, age 24, of 107 E. Clinton Street in Joliet was arrested for theft, driving while license revoked and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
JOLIET
3/23 Location: Essington and Citadel Drive
Summary: Janay Evans, age 35, of Oak Forest was cited for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Location: 400 block of S. Briggs St.
Summary: Stan Carpenter, age 35, of 212 Illinois Street in Joliet was arrested for DUI.
3/24 Location: 95 S. Chicago Street Adult Detention Facility
Summary: Denziel T. Banks, age 26, of 3148 N. Christiana in Chicago was charged with aggravated battery to a correctional officer after he threw a cup of urine at a correctional officer.
Location: 1000 block of Eunice Avenue
Summary: Tracy Crater, age 60 of Minooka was cited for failure to yield from private roadway/driveway.
Location: 100 W. Jefferson Street Will County Courthouse
Summary: Noe Alvarez, age 39, of 1115 Highland Avenue in Joliet was charged with defrauding a court ordered drug/alcohol screening.
3/25 Location: 16911 W. Laraway Road Will County Sheriff’s Public Safety Complex
Summary: Deputies met with a 25-year-old female who stated that she received a phone call from a man identifying himself as Deputy Tim Neil, from the Will County Sheriff’s Office. Victim stated that Deputy Neil informed her that she missed jury duty on 3/7/23 and due to her missing it she had two outstanding warrants; one for failure to appear to court and the second for contempt.
Victim stated that she believed Neil was truthful. The victim was in fear of getting arrested so, as instructed by Neil, she paid Neil $1,430 through a cash app. After the payment was made Neil told her he wanted to meet her in person and shake her hand. He then directed her to come to the Sheriff’s Office front lobby.
The deputy informed the victim that she had been scammed. He stated that we had no deputies on staff named Tim Neil. He also informed her that the Will County Sheriff’s Office never calls people on the phone who have outstanding warrants or miss a jury duty appointment or court date, nor do they ever ask for any type of payment over the phone.
3/27 Location: 1600 block of New Lenox Road
Summary: Thomas Smith, age 53, of 16213 W. Palomino Path in Manhattan was arrested for DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol.
HOMER GLEN
3/23 Location: S. Windmill Drive and W. Wheatstone
Summary: Jody Watson, age 48, of 16061 S. Leach in Homer Glen was arrested for DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Location: 13639 W. 159th St. Shorewood Home and Auto
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a catalytic converter from a 2015 Ford F250 and attempted to remove another one from a 2022 Chevy 2500 truck. Video surveillance revealed the offender/s were driving an older model white Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable.
3/24 Location: W. 159th St. and S. Leach Drive
Summary: Melissa Irving, age 30, of 13828 Big Run in Homer Glen was arrested for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage and no valid driver’s license.
Location: W. Bruce Road and S. Meader Road
Summary: Alan Pratscher, age 36, of Orland Park was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.
Location: W. 167th Street in S. Kensington Drive
Summary: Adam Husein, age 29 of Lockport was cited for aggravated speeding.
3/27 Location: S. Gougar and W. 151st St.
Summary: Deandre Hallman, age 36 of Chicago was cited for driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.
Location: S. Bell Road and W. Glengary Drive
Summary: Hamzeh Alshlool, age 28 of Chicago was cited for driving with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
