FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX
4/21 Location: 19730 S. Harlem Frankfort Speedway Gas
Summary: Manager stated that on 4/3/20 she reported a theft of cartons of cigarettes. She reviewed the video surveillance from 4/17/20 and observed the same subject, male/black in his 50’s, steal six more cartons of cigarettes.
Location: W. Southwest Highway and S. Spring Meadows Drive Frankfort
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 2004 AVS RC60 Skidsteer from a construction site.
4/22 Location: 19730 S. Harlem Frankfort Speedway Gas
Summary: Manager stated that a male/black with short hair wearing a surgical mask came behind the counter and stole her purse. The subject walked away with the purse, removed her wallet, and then returned the purse to its original place. Wallet contained driver’s license, $20, and credit cards.
4/24 Location: 18000 block of S. Leanne Lane Frankfort
Summary: Homeowner stated, while inside her residence her phone kept alerting her to unauthorized transactions on her credit card. When she went to her garage to get her purse inside her vehicle she realized that her 2016 Jeep Cherokee had been stolen. The keys had also been left inside the vehicle.
WEST TOWNSHIPS
4/23 Location: 22525 W. Lockport St. Plainfield Township Administration Office
Summary: Victim stated she parked her car in order to walk the Lake Renwick trail. When she arrived back at her vehicle she observed a side window broken out and her purse missing. She was later notified that person/s unknown made two illegal charges on two of her credit cards.
Location: 22525 W Lockport St. Plainfield Township Administration Office
Summary: Person/s unknown broke out a vehicle window in order to gain entry while the vehicle owner was walking the Lake Renwick trail. A purse was stolen from inside.
4/26 Location: 21000 block of W. Kentwood Drive Plainfield
Summary: Deputies reported that five vehicles (at three different residents) were vandalized with red spray paint.
LOCKPORT
4/21 Location: 800 block of Northern Drive
Summary: Resident stated that a male/white, about 50 years of age, 6’3”, muscular build wearing a yellow safety vest came to her residence and rang her doorbell. When she spoke to the man, he had a Polish accent. He stated that he was doing work and hit a water line to her property and needed to come inside to test her water. The resident allowed the man to come inside and he began running her tap water. The man was speaking on a walkie-talkie while he was inside the home. The man asked several questions relating to other entrances to the home and who else lived in the residence. The man left in a black van with no distinguishing marks. The resident later realized that a wedding band, diamond earrings, silver dollars and an imitation diamond ring had been stolen from a bedroom.
4/22 Location: E. Romeo Road and N. New Avenue
Summary: Edwin Castrellon, age 25, of 1224 W. 49th Place in Chicago was cited for driving while license suspended and speeding.
4/26 Location: 1300 block of Highland
Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a residence and ransacked it. Offender/s sprayed hand soaps and lotions onto the walls, dumped soda onto beds and floors, threw dog food on a bed and ransacked a vehicle at the property. Nothing was stolen from inside the vehicle. Credit cards were stolen from inside the home but it was unclear at time of report if anything else was stolen from the residence. Damage was extensive.

4/23 Location: 1500 block of S. Ottawa
Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a residence and stole three hunting bows, a crossbow, two Playstation systems and a backpack with hunting supplies inside.
HOMER GLEN
4/21 Location: 14000 block of S. Camden Road
Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a maintenance light, drill, jigsaw, hammer drill and miscellaneous hand tools.
4/23 Location: 14000 block of S. Elizabeth Lane
Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a checkbook.
Location: 14000 block of W. Edinburgh Court
Summary: Person/s unknown entered two unlocked vehicles and stole a social security card, a garage door opener and $20.
4/24 Location: 12147 W. 159th St. Eddys Tobacco
Summary: Person/s unknown broke the front glass door of the business in order to gain entry. Offender/s stole 50 cartons of Marlboro and 30 cartons of Newport cigarettes.
SOUTH TOWNSHIPS
4/21 Location: 18000 block of W. South St. Wilmington
Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a large bag with fishing gear inside.
Location: 34000 block of S. Wildwood St. Wilmington
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 2016 Jeep Cherokee from the driveway of a home. The key fob was in the possession of the vehicle owner.
4/22 Location: 35000 block of S. Rt. 53 Wilmington Exelon Nuclear Plant
Summary: Jeremiah J. Thomas, age 34, of 1550 Pine Bluff Road in Morris was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and no FOID card after he was found to be in possession of a weapon while entering the security area of the nuclear plant.
4/25 Location: 25000 block of S. Redstone Manhattan
Summary: Person/s unknown entered a vehicle and stole a laptop.
Location: 13000 block of W. Haley Manhattan
Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet containing identifying cards, credit cards, and USC.
4/26 Location: 25000 block of S. Timber Drive Jackson
Summary: Person/s unknown stole an unlocked 2016 Dodge Charger from the driveway of a residence. The keys were inside the vehicle at time of theft.
4/27 Location: 25000 block of S. Timber Drive Jackson
Summary: Homeowner stated around 1:44am she observed a subject getting into a vehicle on the street that was being followed by a second vehicle. Both vehicles appeared to be small sport cars. Upon checking outside, she realized that two of her vehicles had been entered. They were unlocked at the time. A garage door was stolen.
Location: 20000 block of W. Manhattan Road Jackson
Summary: Deputies were dispatched to an unoccupied Lincoln SUV that was still running and parked at Manhattan Road and Brandon Road. Upon finding the owner of the vehicle, it was discovered that the vehicle had been stolen during the night. A wallet with credit cards and an Iphone were missing from the vehicle.
Location: 24000 block of S. Walnut Street Jackson
Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a garage door opener. A witness informed deputies that around 2am he observed two subjects running from the driveway where the vehicle was burglarized. The subjects entered a blue Jeep Cherokee and drove north bound on Walnut St.
