5/11 Location: S. Briggs and I80
Summary: Miguel Guerra, age 42, of 1045 Anderson Avenue in Joliet was cited for speeding, expired registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Location: Theodore and N. Larkin
Summary: Dakota Morris, age 19, of 504 Kungsway in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, expired registration and obstructing windows.
Location: Oakland and N. Raynor
Summary: Kathryne Hoxworth, age 40, of 1923 N. Hickory in Crest Hill was cited for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Location: Pheasant Run Road and Moore Ave.
Summary: Christopher Vacha, age 49, of 1409 Division St. in Morris was cited for driving while license suspended.
5/12 Location: N. Briggs and Freedom Blvd.
Summary: Rashay Baker, age 41, of 1516 Queens Lace Drive in Joliet was cited for speeding and driving while license suspended.
Location: 1900 block of Rowell Avenue
Summary: Person/s unknown kicked the front door of a residence in order to gain entry. It was unclear at time of report if anything was stolen.
Location: 200 block of Louis Road
Summary: Lawana Sterett, age 43, of 219 5th Avenue in Joliet was arrested for criminal trespass to property.
Location: Susanna Way and Cara Drive
Summary: Deshaun Cockream, age 21, of 10 E. Zarley Blvd. in Joliet was cited for improper lighting and driving while license suspended.
5/15 Location: Ingalls and N. Larkin
Summary: Martionna Johnson, age 25, of 1026 Waverly Place in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, improper lane usage, improper lighting, defective tail light, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Location: E. Jefferson and N. Eastern
Summary: Jorge Contreras-Rios, age 48, of 514 Nicholson in Joliet was cited for no registration lights, one headlight, one tail light and no valid driver’s license.
5/16 Location: 24000 block of W. Zauratsky Road
Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a residence and stole two hunting knives and jewelry.
Location: Erskine Road and Cherry Hill Road
Summary: Clinton A. Anders, age 42, of 1103 Plainfield Road in Joliet was picked up on Old Plank Trail after deputies recognized him and were aware that he was wanted on one DuPage County warrant and three McHenry County warrants.
5/17 Location: S. Weber Road and W. McGilvary Drive
Summary: Sandra R. Hatchett, age 48, of 1412 Pioneer Road in Crest Hill was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, disobeying a traffic control device, speeding and driving while license revoked.
FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX
5/12 Location: 19860 S. Harlem Avenue Pizza Mia Frankfort
Summary: A male/black subject in his mid 20’s, about 5’9”, 170lbs, entered the establishment and ordered a small pizza. The subject paid the bill with a $100 bill and was given his change. Once the subject left the store, it was discovered that the $100 was counterfeit currency. Deputies confirmed that the money was fraudulent.
5/14 Location: 1900 block of S. Anderson Road New Lenox
Summary: Victim stated that when she arrived back home she observed her garage door was open. Her neighbor stated that while she was gone the neighbor observed a ComEd truck parked in the front of her house. The neighbor stated that she observed a male subject from ComEd enter her backyard and leave after about 20 minutes. The victim stated that when she went inside her home all the electronics were flashing like she had lost power for a short time. She also observed her purse that had been in the kitchen dumped out with $148 missing. While checking her yard she observed a new gas meter had been replaced on her home. Victim believes that the theft may have happened when someone else entered her home through the garage while the ComEd worker was out in the back yard.
EAST TOWNSHIPS
5/12 Location: S. Governors Highway and W. Stuenkel Crete
Summary: Anthony Burton, age 30, of 435 Talala St. in Park Forest was cited for disobeying a traffic control device, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.
WEST TOWNSHIPS
5/12 Location: 14000 block of S. Napa Circle Plainfield
Summary: An unknown male/white was observed on video surveillance using a knife to puncture the front and rear passenger side tires of a vehicle that was parked on the street. The offender also used an unknown object and smashed the front windshield in.
5/14 Location: 500 block of Windjammer Lane Wheatland
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a white 2009 Chevrolet Express G250 from the driveway of a residence. The owner had left the vehicle unlocked with the keys inside. The vehicle had a table saw and a circular saw inside at time of theft.
SOUTH TOWNSHIPS
5/12 Location: S. Rt. 53 and W. South Arsenal Road Wilmington
Summary: Cesar Trujillo Jr., age 24, of 2424 Foxtail Court in Crest Hill was cited for aggravated speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and violation of driver’s license classification.
5/13 Location: 12000 block of W. Joliet Road Manhattan
Summary: Pasquel Martinez, age 46, of 3113 Elizabeth Avenue in Zion was cited for speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.
5/14 Location: W. Rt. 113 and S. Zilm Road Wilmington
Summary: Elizabeth F. Mandat, age 53, of 21262 W. Rt. 113 in Custer Park was arrested for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed, improper turn, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol and DUI.
5/16 Location: S. Rt. 53 and W. South Arsenal Road Wilmington
Summary: Emily Esparza-Avalos, age 21, of 17924 W. Manhattan Road in Elwood was cited for driving with suspended registration.
LOCKPORT
5/12 Location: 100 block of Fairmont Avenue
Summary: Person/s unknown entered a vehicle that had its windows down and stole a purse containing a license, credit cards and $300. Shortly after the theft, the victim began receiving phone calls from her bank regarding suspicious transactions being attempted on her credit cards.
5/13 Location: 100 block of Fairmont Avenue
Summary: About 7:40pm deputies responded to a shots fired call. Upon arrival, they observed multiple shell casings lying in the roadway. They spoke with a female subject who stated that she was having a birthday party for her daughter when they observed a blue/black Buick sedan drive by the home. They then observed the driver’s side window and passenger window come down with two unknown male/blacks, wearing ski masks, begin to fire bullets towards the house and party guests. Nine adults and ten children (ages infant to 14 years old) were at the party. Not all attendees were outside the home at the time of the shooting. No one was injured.
Two vehicles that were parked in front of the residence sustained bullet holes.
5/16 Location: W. 135th St. and S. Smith Road
Summary: A male victim stated that while he was traveling westbound on 135th St. coming towards the intersection at Smith Road, he heard a loud bang. The man initially thought someone had thrown a large rock at his vehicle. Upon arriving to his destination, he realized that person/s unknown had shot a bullet at his car striking the driver’s side door. He was not injured.
HOMER GLEN
5/11 Location: 12622 W. 159th St. Rubi Agave
Summary: Person/s unknown paid their tab with a counterfeit $20 bill. The staff unknowingly accepted the fake cash but discovered it later.
5/13 Location: W. 163rd St. and S. Cedar Road
Summary: Maureen F. Bulger, age 37, of 23232 S. Malibu Drive in Manhattan was arrested for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, illegal transportation of alcohol, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Deputies located Bulger in her vehicle that had come to rest in a shallow pond. Deputies were also advised at the scene that prior to Bulger landing in the pond she had rear-ended another vehicle, crossed over a lane of traffic, and went off the roadway.
5/14 Location: S. Gougar and W. 151st St.
Summary: Thomas J. Nie, age 25, of 17522 S. Gilbert Drive in Lockport was cited for aggravated speeding.
Location: W. Woodland and S. Trailside
Summary: Adam Sinclair, age 19, of 13030 Morning Glory Court in Homer Glen was cited for speeding and driving while license suspended. He was held on an FTA warrant.
5/15 Location: 14000 block of S. Stately Oaks Court
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 2021 Ram 1500 from the driveway of a residence. Video footage showed the vehicle being stolen around 4:14am and being followed by a second unknown type of vehicle. After reviewing tracking information on the vehicle, it was discovered in Dolton. Dolton Police were notified and were able to recover the vehicle.
5/16 Location: 15000 block of W. 139th St.
Summary: An elderly woman stated to deputies that around 3:45pm she was outside doing yard work when an unknown male subject pulled into her driveway and began speaking to her regarding trimming trees in her back yard. The woman followed the man to the backyard where they had a conversation. When the woman returned to the inside of her home she observed 2 closet doors open and 30 of her rings missing. The man was described as male/white, 5’9”, and 160lbs. wearing work clothes with a reflective vest and a badge on it.
