WEST TOWNSHIPS
10/18 Location: W. Renwick and S. Lincoln Highway Plainfield
Summary: John Slobodnik, age 67, of Joliet was cited for driving with suspended registration and expired registration.
Location: 14000 block of S. Lehigh Drive Plainfield
Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a purse containing identifying information and credit cards.
10/21 Location: S. Naperville and S. Weller Drive Plainfield
Summary: Meghan Tatum, age 28, of Joliet was cited for driving with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
10/22 Location: W. Renwick and S. County Line Road Plainfield
Summary: Christina Delcore, age 24, of 7212 Applegate Drive in Plainfield was arrested for DUI, possession of cannabis, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving in wrong lane, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and possession of drug equipment.
FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX
10/16 Location: W. Lincoln Highway and S. 79th Avenue Frankfort
Summary: Michael Sanfratello, age 60, of 835 Thomas St. in Chicago Heights was arrested for DUI, driving while license suspended and improper lane usage.
10/18 Location: 7654 W. Lincoln Highway Circle K Frankfort
Summary: Deputies were called about 1:40am to an armed robbery. Employee stated, while cleaning the Slurpee machine at the rear of the store, two male blacks entered the store, and one pointed a handgun at him. The offender pushed the handgun against the employee’s chest and demanded him to open the registers. The employee followed the orders and the offenders fled on foot with a small amount of cash. The employee was not hurt.
10/19 Location: E. Joliet Highway and S. Cooper New Lenox
Summary: Stacy Tolen, age 50, of New Lenox was cited for driving while license revoked and speeding.
Location: 10000 block of W. Stuenkel Road Frankfort
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 2018 Polaris Sportsman 850 ATV from an unlocked barn.
10/21 Location: 9500 block of W. Lincoln Highway Frankfort
Summary: Thomas Gutierrez, age 32, of 3100 Wagner Court in Aurora was arrested for DUI, possession of cannabis, possession of drug equipment, and improper lane usage.
Location: 19000 block of S. Graceland Lane Frankfort
Summary: Almarion Evans, age 18, of Frankfort was arrested for criminal damage to property, burglary to motor vehicle, possession of burglary tools, and criminal trespass to vehicles. About 12pm, deputies were advised that a resident reported a suspicious person around North Avenue and Frankfort Square Road who was pulling car door handles. Deputies were unable to locate the subject. At 2:30pm, deputies were dispatched to the 7600 block of Juniper Court in reference to a suspicious subject in the area. The caller stated that he observed the subject holding a screwdriver and was attempting to get into the rear side window of a Kia sedan that was parked on the roadway.
While continuing to patrol the area, about 3am, deputies observed a Hyundai Elantra on Sterling Drive. The vehicle was missing its rear side window. As deputies continued down the street, they observed a Kia Forte with the hazard lights flashing and the rear window missing. Upon investigation, deputies observed the steering columns on both vehicles to be damaged.
As deputies were taking information on the vehicles, they were advised that 911 was receiving multiple calls from residents about a subject breaking into vehicles on S. Graceland. Deputies responded to the area and saw a male subject that matched the description. The subject was also wearing a backpack. Deputies chased the subject and intercepted him after he exited a fenced backyard on Moorfield. Evans was placed in handcuffs and detained. A ski mask and cell phone charging cord were found in the backpack. Deputies believe the charging cord may have been used in attempts to steal the vehicles, which is commonly used as a tool to bypass certain vehicle ignitions. Evans was transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he was questioned by detectives from Tri-County Auto Theft Task Force and charged.
Deputies that remained on scene, spoke to a resident on Moorfield who stated that they had video footage of Evans breaking the window out of a Hyundai Elantra. Deputies also spoke to a resident who was able to provide deputies with eyewitness information regarding Evans actions while in the area.

10/18 Location: Caton Farm and Jorie Court
Summary: Andres Villalobos Valbuena, age 32, of Crest Hill was cited for no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.
10/19 Location: Cherry Hill Road and E. Cass St.
Summary: Ricardo Guerrero, age 51, of Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Location: 3000 block of Evergreen Drive
Summary: Person/s unknown entered a vehicle and stole a purse containing driver’s license, cash, and credit cards.
10/20 Location: 1500 block of Marigold Drive
Summary: Briana Richardson, age 26, of 1417 Marigold Drive in Joliet was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and failure to give information upon damaging property.
Location: 2400 block of Vesta Drive
Summary: Larry C. Jackson, age 43, of Plainfield, was charged with battery.
Location: W. Jefferson and S. Hammes
Summary: Allen J. Moreno, age 49, of Romeoville was cited for driving with suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and failure to signal.
EAST TOWNSHIPS
10/19 Location: Main St. and W. Exchange St. Crete
Summary: Janisa Lomax, age 20, of Crete was arrested for criminal trespass to vehicle.
10/20 Location: S. Western Avenue and W. Norfolk Avenue Crete
Summary: William J. Phillips, age 32, of 2256 W. Loves Lane in Crete was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, driving while license suspended, expired registration, and improper lighting.
Location: Main St. and W. Exchange St. Crete
Summary: Steven E. Nance, age 37, of Harvey was cited for no valid driver’s license, failure to yield to emergency vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lighting, and improper lane usage.
HOMER GLEN
10/16 Location: 15000 block of S. Sharon Drive
Summary: Person/s unknown smashed out the front passenger window of a vehicle. Nothing was missing from inside the vehicle.
10/20 Location: W. 159th St. and S. Gougar Road
Summary: Tatum Bush, age 19, of Lockport was cited for aggravated speeding.
Location: 14169 S. Bell Road Meijer
Summary: Brianna Arellano, age 27, of Oak Forest was arrested for retail theft.
10/22 Location: 13341 W. 151st St. Bengston’s Pumpkin Farm
Summary: Person/s unknown smashed out the passenger side window of a Chrysler Pacifica while it was in the north parking lot. Offender/s stole a Louis Vuitton purse containing prescription glasses, credit cards and diabetic medication. Offender/s also smashed out the passenger side window of a BMW and stole a purse containing make-up. The vehicle was in the south parking lot. A third vehicle, parked in the south parking lot, also was broken into by smashing out the front passenger window of an Infinity. A purse was taken with credit cards and $70 inside. (See below)
Location: 13000 block of S. Bell Road
Summary: Deputies spoke with a man who stated that while he was driving north on Bell Road, he noticed two bags laying in the roadway. He pulled over and picked the bags up and attempted to find any information about who they belonged to but was unsuccessful, so he contacted the police.
While deputies were taking inventory of the bags, they were advised that a subject had called for service about his vehicle being broken into at Bengstons Farm and two bags were missing. Upon meeting with the subject, he advised that his backpack was stolen that had a gun magazine with 9mm live ammunition inside, along with a gun holster, a pair of handcuffs and a handcuff case. The second bag had miscellaneous personal items inside. The bags were returned to the subject. Nothing was stolen from the second bag.
SOUTH TOWNSHIPS
10/23 Location: 16000 block of W. Diane Way Manhattan
Summary: Person/s unknown spray-painted illegible letters on a truck that was parked in a residence driveway. Offender/s also threw several eggs at the truck.
Location: W. Delaney and S. Rt. 52 Manhattan
Summary: Person/s unknown broke into two John Deere combines that were parked in a field. One combine had the GPS screen/monitor ripped out with the GPS globe stolen. The second combine had the lock broken but no entry was made.
