8/15 Location: Theodore and Edgerton Dr.
Summary: Charles R. Sparks, age 41 of Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Summary: Latoya Orsborn, age 45 of Joliet was cited for obstructing justice, driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and disobeying a traffic control device.
8/16 Location: S. Briggs and New Lenox Rd.
Summary: Eduardo Aceves Aguirre, age 37 of Joliet was cited for improper use of registration, fictitious license plate and unlawful possession of title/registration.
Location: 2100 block of Plainfield Rd.
Summary: Joseph Doll, age 39 of Crest Hill was cited for driving with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Summary: Deshaun Cockream, age 24, of Crest Hill was charged with public indecency.

Summary: Julio C. Ramos, age 41, of 1108 Ridgewood Avenue in Joliet was arrested for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, disobeying a stop sign, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and invalid driver’s license.

Summary: Luis F. Gallardo-Garcia, age 27, of Crest Hill was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, suspended registration, obstructed front windshield, and two counts of aggravated driving while license suspended.
8/18 Location: 1601 E. Cass St. 7-11 Store
Summary: Otillio Mendez, age 24, of 700 Green Garden Place in Lockport was arrested for armed robbery, robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated DUI, driving while license revoked and expired plates.
Deputies pulled into the station parking lot and observed Mendez chasing another male subject near the gas pumps with a large knife. Deputies gave Mendez several verbal commands to drop the knife which he eventually complied. Mendez was very combative with deputies as they took him into custody.
The 35-year-old victim stated that Mendez approached him in the parking lot with a knife and attempted to rob him of belongings he had just purchased at Highland Liquors. When the victim told Mendez ‘No’, Mendez attempted to stab him several times but was unsuccessful.

Summary: Arianna Ramirez, age 19, was cited for aggravated speeding, obstructing/tinted windows.

Summary: David Alvarado, age 37, of Plainfield was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, expired registration, and driving with suspended registration. He was also held on an active Will County warrant and an active DuPage County warrant.

Summary: Santos DeNova, age 58 of 8813 169th St. in Orland Hills was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage, and expired registration.
8/21 Location: 1800 block of E. Washington St.
Summary: Victor Vergara, age 26, of 1600 Arbor Lane in Crest Hill was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and was held on an active FTA warrant out of Grundy County.

8/20 Location: W. Manhattan/Monne Road and S. Rt. 45 Monee
Summary: Darnell Windmon, age 49 of 388 Yates Avenue in Calumet City was arrested for disobeying a stop sign and DUI.
8/21 Location: 25608 S. Dixie Highway Crete U Stor It
Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a Spartan trailer and stole a large ladder, a 60” TV, a heavy-duty hand truck and an audio home theater.
Location: W. Exchange and S. Kings Rd. Crete
Summary: Jasmine Steps, age 25, was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol, driving with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
HOMER GLEN
8/15 Location: 14160 S. Sheffield Drive Goodings Grove Condo
Summary: Person/s unknown threw eggs and a plastic juice container at a tenant’s bedroom window and shattered it. No one was injured.
Location: 15000 block of S. Cranberry Court
Summary: Two separate homeowners reported to deputies that their vehicles had been entered by unknown persons around 1am. One homeowner had one unlocked vehicle entered that was parked in his driveway. Nothing was missing. The other homeowner had two unlocked vehicles entered that were parked in his driveway, but nothing was missing. Video surveillance revealed that five subjects exited a dark colored SUV and scattered out to vehicles in the area to see if they were unlocked to gain easy access.

Summary: Konstantinos Manikas, age 52, of Orland Hills was cited for expired registration and driving while license suspended.
Location: 14000 block of S. Helen Lane
Summary: Person/s unknown entered a Ram truck and rifled through it. Nothing was stolen. Video surveillance revealed two unknown persons went inside the truck, opened his garage door using the opener inside the truck, and entered the SUV that was inside. Nothing was stolen from that vehicle.
Location: 14000 block of S. Augusta Lane
Summary: Video surveillance revealed that around 1:20am a group of unknown subjects exited a vehicle and began running in different directions towards vehicles that were parked in resident’s driveways. Two vehicles were entered at the victim’s home but nothing was stolen. The offenders also used the garage door opener to open the garage but quickly closed it and ran off.
Location: 14000 block of W. Anne Drive
Summary: Deputies were notified by Tinley Park Police that they had located a 2016 Audi A6 that had been involved in a crash on 76th ad 159th St. The vehicle was unoccupied. Deputies went to the address that the vehicle was registered to and spoke with the vehicle owner. Owner stated that his other vehicle that was still parked in his driveway had the garage door opener inside. Person/s unknown must have used the opener, entered the garage, and stole the Audi.
Location: 1440 W. 151st St. Homer Township Highway Department
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a portable traffic analyzer with an estimated value of $1523. It was affixed to the roadway with bolts at W. Hickory Avenue at S. Maple Avenue.
8/19 Location: 14000 block of S. Glen Drive
Summary: Victim stated that while attempting to purchase a French Bulldog from a Facebook Marketplace ad she was scammed out of $1,350. Victim stated that while conversing on Facebook messenger she Zelled money in separate transactions for a deposit, vet bills, and final payment and additional costs. Upon investigating phone numbers and email addresses given it appeared the fraudulent puppy sellers were located out of Georgia.
8/21 Location: 12640 W. 143rd St. White Castle
Summary: An unknown male white subject smashed a window and entered the restaurant, went to the office area, and stole cash out of a safe.
Location: 16000 block of S. Bell Road
Summary: Richard Lavelle, age 33, of Oak Lawn was arrested for DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Location: 13000 block of W. 143rd St.
Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle at 11:45am and stole a wallet. Victim stated that he had walked away from his vehicle for maybe 3 to 4 minutes and during that time the wallet was stolen.

8/15 Location: S. Old Chicago Road and W. Ballou Wilmington
Summary: Eric Loferski, age 52, of Bourbonnais was cited for aggravated speeding.
Location: 34000 block of S. Lakeside Terrace Wilmington
Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a residence being remodeled and stole five 52” ceiling fans, one tile saw and a Craftsman six tool combo kit.
8/16 Location: 21060 W. Rt. 113 Custers Keg Wilmington
Summary: Between 6:30pm and 7:30pm, person/s unknown stole a 2020 Harley Davidson Street Glide from the east parking lot of the business. Keys were not in the motorcycle at time of theft.
8/17 Location: Delaney Rd. and Westmoreland Manhattan
Summary: Erika Moore, age 34 of University Park was cited for aggravated speeding.
8/19 Location: S. Rt. 53 and W. Old Explosive Rd. Wilmington
Summary: Patricia Matute-Calix, age 46, of Champaign, IL was arrested for DUI, no valid driver’s license, aggravated speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to yield to emergency vehicle.
Location: 27000 block of S. Ridge Road Jackson
Summary: Cody R. Hunt, age 31, of 9822 W. Pauling Road in Monee was arrested for DUI, open alcohol by driver, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating non-roadway vehicle on roadway, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
WEST TOWNSHIPS
8/17 Location: 23254 W. Grinton Drive Plainfield
Summary: Robert P. Descamps, age 42, of this address, was taken into custody by the Sheriff’s Warrant Unit/U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and the Sheriff’s Gang Suppression Unit on an arrest warrant that was granted on 8/16. Descamps was charged with two counts of residential burglary, no FOID card, two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, three counts of aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, two counts of endangering the life of a child, and two counts of unlawful violation of an order of protection. He was also cited for no valid driver’s license and reckless driving. His bond amount was set at $200,000 (10% to apply).
FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX
8/16 Location: S. Graceland Frankfort
Summary: Victim stated that he was using a Google search engine on his computer to find streaming TV channels when a blue Windows screen popped up and instructed him to call customer service to unlock the screen. The victim did and after speaking with a ‘supervisor’ he was informed that there was evidence on his computer of illegal and inappropriate photos that were federal crimes, and he was being investigated by the FBI regarding them. This information scared the victim and during the conversation the victim was asked to provide social security number, checking/debit card numbers and was told that it would cost $28,000 to clear up the matter.
The victim did as he was instructed. He traveled to his bank, left his phone in the car, did not talk with bank employees about the withdrawal, and finally traveled to a Bitcoin ATM and deposited the funds.
After returning home the victim started thinking that something may not be right and called his family who informed him to call the police and report the scam.
8/17 Location: S. Harlem and W. St. Francis Rd. Frankfort
Summary: Elysse Holmes, age 25, of Matteson was cited for aggravated speeding.
8/20 Location: 19900 S. Harlem Avenue Lincolnway North High School Frankfort
Summary: Victim stated that she arrived at the football stadium at 7pm and parked her vehicle on the north side. She returned to her vehicle about 7:35pm and found that person/s unknown had broke out her passenger window, entered her vehicle, and stole her purse containing credit cards.
Location: 19900 S. Harlem Avenue Lincolnway North High School Frankfort
Summary: Victim stated that she arrived at the football stadium at 6pm to see the game. Upon returning to her vehicle, she saw that person/s unknown had broken her passenger side window, entered her vehicle, and stole $100 and credit cards. Victim stated that she did get a credit card alert shortly after 6pm but did not think it was possible. The alert stated a $500 charge was attempted at a Family Dollar store in Richton Park.
LOCKPORT
8/18 Location: 16000 block of S. Rankin Drive
Summary: About 1:40am, person/s unknown broke the passenger side window of a vehicle and stole a black tote bag, women’s makeup, and three bottles of prescription medications.
