            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into two out-building and stole six torque wrenches, a punch set, plier set and a metric socket set.  Offender/s also stole four Milwaukee battery powered impact wrenches and two air-powered wrenches. 

 

1/17     Location:  25000 block of W. McGowan Woods Road                     Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into a residence.  It was unknown at time of report if anything was stolen.

 

1/18     Location:  19000 block of S. Wolf Road                                           Mokena

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2007 Freightliner Columbia semi-truck from a parking lot.

 

WEST TOWNSHIPS

 

1/17     Location:  Normantown and Birch                             DuPage

            Summary:  David M. Gross, age 25, of 14604 Archer Avenue in Lockport was arrested for improper turn at intersection, failure to signal, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, unlawful possession of cannabis and DUI/drugs.

            Summary:  Timothy Jay Stacy, age 39, of 841 Kristin Lane in Wilmington was cited for no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, disobeying a stop sign and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked truck and stole a wallet and a DLS laser and tripod stand.

1/12     Location:  W. 34^th St. and Chicago Road                               Monee

            Summary:  Jonathan A. Thompson, age 39, of 1023 Monterey Court in University Park was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug equipment, illegal window tint, and illegal transportation of open alcohol. 

 

1/13     Location:  W. Sauk Trail and Chicago Road                         Crete

            Summary:  Amilia Puga, age 34, of 153 Grace in Steger was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of open alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.  Puga was also held on an active Will County warrant.

 

HOMER GLEN

 

1/14     Location:  14000 block of S. Camden Road

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered two unlocked vehicles.  Nothing was stolen from one of them, cash and a GPS were stolen from the other.

 

1/15     Location:  12000 block of 159^th St.

            Summary:  Fon M. Awah-Manga, age 32, of 6522 S. Champlain Avenue in Chicago was cited for driving while license revoked, no valid driver’s license and aggravated speeding.

            Summary:  Luis Diego Suarez-Vega, age 22, of 10 Salem Drive in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

            Summary:  Raven Littlejohn, age 37, of 107 Steven St. in Joliet was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

 

1/13     Location:  400 block of N. Larkin

            Summary:  Lourdes Lopez, age 49, of 222 SW Circle Drive in Joliet was cited for expired registration, obstructing identification, and driving while license suspended.

 

1/15     Location:  100 block of Broadway

            Summary:  Bernal Sanchez, age 19, of 1705 2250^th St. in Atlanta, IL was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  100 block of Mills Road

            Summary:  Jasmine Finch, age 33, of 1313 Gregory Avenue in Joliet was cited for driving while license revoked and aggravated driving while license revoked.

 

            Location:    Washington and Jessie - 100 block of Schorie

            Summary:  IL State Police responded to a call regarding a two-vehicle accident.   While deputies were assisting ISP, it was discovered that the driver of an involved Chevy car had left the scene on foot.  Upon running the vehicle information, it was then discovered that the vehicle had been stolen from a residence on the 100 block of Schorie approximately 20 minutes prior to the crash.

 

1/16     Location:  Cass and Briggs

            Summary:  Itzel Silva, age 27, of 316 Herkimer in Joliet was cited for no registration lights, no taillights and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  Washington and Briggs

            Summary:  James W. Soliz, age 24, of 210 Logan Avenue in Joliet was cited for no front license plate and driving while license suspended.

 

1/18     Location:  Washington and Briggs

            Summary:  Jatulis Paulius, age 28, of 509 Logan Avenue in Joliet was arrested for illegal stopping in roadway, DUI/drugs, DUI/alcohol and DUI/combo alcohol and drugs.

 

            Location:  400 block of White Avenue

            Summary:  Deputies were dispatched to a residence where an unknown subject was located who stated that they had been shot at.  Upon arrival, deputies spoke with an 18-year-old male and a 19-year-old male who stated that as they were driving on northbound on Hebbard St. their front windshield was shot out by an unknown suspect/vehicle.  After the shooting, both males exited the vehicle and ran to a residence on White asking the homeowner to call 911 for help.  East Joliet Fire arrived on scene.  Both individuals refused medical treatment.  No serious injuries were noted. 

  Deputies canvassed the area and located a basement window with a bullet hole in it on a residence on Hebbard.  They also located a second vehicle on Hebbard that sustained a bullet hole to a rear window and a bullet hole near the passenger seat.   No one reported any injuries.

            Summary:  Employee stated that around 2:30am she observed a tall, thin male black enter the store while she was conducting inventory in the store.  She observed the subject reach over the counter and grab eight packs of cigarettes and run out of the store.  The subject was seen entered the passenger side of a newer model white two-door vehicle.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 1989 Ford Mustang convertible from the driveway of a residence.  The vehicle was locked at time of theft.

            Summary:  Samantha Larson, age 33, of 4535 W. 90^th Place in Hometown, IL was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, theft, and driving while license suspended.  Carlington Colberg, age 40, of 3210 W. Arthington St. in Chicago was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

            Summary:  Jose M. Herrera-Lopez, age 53, of 3400 E. Burville in Crete was cited for no valid driver’s license, following too closely and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

            Summary:  G. Elente Collins, age 26, of 7713 Woodward Ave in Woodridge was cited for possession of cannabis under 500g with intent to deliver, unlawful use of cannabis, and improper display of registration.

 

HOMER GLEN

 

1/4       Location:  14169 S. Bell Road                                   Meijer

            Summary:  Alexi Pajic, age 27, of 4536 152^nd St. in Midlothian was arrested for burglary and felony retail theft.  She was also held on an active FTA warrant out of Orland Park.  Darrenesha Robinson, age 31, of 1920 S. St. Louis Avenue in Chicago was arrested for two counts of felony retail theft.   Both arrests took place after deputies responded to Meijer where they spoke with loss prevention personnel who observed the offenders inside the store concealing multiple items and leaving the store without paying for them.  One subject was carrying a large purple bag and the other subject had cut a seam inside her coat in order to drop items into.  The offender/s were observed leaving the store in a Pontiac G6, which was located in the Jewel parking lot across the street by other deputies.  After a search of the vehicle, reviewing video surveillance, and speaking to loss prevention personnel, the women were arrested.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out the back windshield of a vehicle.

1/9       Location:  14169 S. Bell Road                    Meijer

           Summary:  Christine Hernandez Tevenal, age 41, of 4054 E. 112th St. in Chicago was arrested for felony retail theft after it was discovered by loss prevention personnel and a review of video surveillance that she had stole 273 items of various merchandise.

            Summary:  Ernest Morgan, age 25, of 1905 Burry Circle in Crest Hill was cited for driving while license revoked, obstructing justice, no driver’s license on person and no registration lights.

            Summary:  Elisha Allen, age 19, of 16740 S. Hazelwood Drive in Plainfield was cited for no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lighting.  He was held on an active Kendall County warrant.

            Summary:  An unknown male black subject backed his Chevy Silverado into a driveway and stole four Goodyear SRA tires that were mounted on the rims.

            Summary:  Andres Betancourt, age 37, of 1825 Eagle in Beecher was arrested for speeding, no tail lights, driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, illegal possession of cannabis and aggravated DUI.

 

12/30   Location:  2800 block of E. Bending Creek               Crete

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke the side mirror off a parked vehicle and slashed three of the tires.

 

            Location:  Swan Lane                         Beecher

            Summary:  Victim stated that while driving his vehicle and beginning to make a turn onto Pheasant Circle a Dodge Ram approached from behind and slammed on his brakes.  As the victim continued to travel in the area the Dodge Ram cut him off, exited his vehicle and slammed his body against the victim’s vehicle causing damage to the side mirror.  The driver of the Ram then began punching the victim’s side window.  The victim then drove off.  When in the area of Goodenow Road the Dodge Ram appeared and while the victim attempted to drive away from the Ram, a foot-long hatchet was thrown through the victim’s passenger side window landing on the passenger seat.  The victim was not injured.   Under investigation.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a construction site and stole four solar panels.

            Summary:  Augustina Carvelli, age 33, of 541 Catalpa St. in Beecher was arrested for DUI, operating uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to carry driver’s license.

            Summary:  Pierre Williams, age 20, of 10 S. Arbor Trail in Park Forest was cited for aggravated speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no child restraints.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown caused damage to an unoccupied vehicle by scratching both sides of the vehicle, breaking off a side mirror and breaking off the antenna.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke a window out of the business during the overnight hours and entered it.  Offender/s stole 233 cartons of Marlboro and Newport cigarettes valued at $19,805.  Offender/s also stole USC from a cash register.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole five Dayton tires off two semi tractors that were parked at the business.

            Summary:  Piedad Lema, age 48, of 1807 Raynor in Crest Hill was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a vehicle with no valid driver’s license.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole an empty 1996 Beaver Creek flatbed trailer.  Offender/s also stole an impact, floor jack, generator, landscaping blower, weed whip, a masonry saw, a toolbox, sockets, a chainsaw, and two large ladders, from inside a rental building.

            Summary:  William Wonders III, age 49, of 725 Cherry Hill Road in Joliet was cited for speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.

            Summary:  Maegan Goocher, age 21, of 26237 W. Erin Isle in Channahon was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper turn at intersection.

            Summary:  Andre Jones, age 40, of 1709 Houston Avenue in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

            Summary:  Olivia Turner, age 29, of 1913 Marine St. in South Bend, IN was arrested for aggravated battery to peace officer, resisting arrest, no valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.  Demotius Turner, age 28, of 91 Bradford Road in Joliet was arrested for resisting arrest, no registration on vehicle, unlawful use of a weapon, and aggravated battery to a peace officer.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered two unlocked vehicles. One vehicle had a wallet stolen.  The victim checked her credit cards and realized offender/s had already used it at a nearby Speedway, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and several other companies. The other vehicle had a debit card stolen.  The victim checked his account and discovered that offender/s had already used his card for over $800 at a nearby Lowes.
