            Summary:  Kristopher Stephenson, age 33, of 100 Elm St. in Park Forest was cited for aggravated speeding.

 

WEST TOWNSHIPS

 

8/4       Location:  31w290 Schoger Drive                  YMCA Naperville                   Wheatland

            Summary:  Security surveillance captured an unknown individual carrying a large sledgehammer near the building.  The subject caused large holes to the duct work and cooling vanes connected to several air conditioning units.  The subject also spray-painted vulgar phrases on several areas of the building. 

 

8/6       Location:  N. Independence Blvd. and W. Taylor Road                    DuPage

            Summary:  Noah Johnson, age 27, of 522 E. 10^th St. in Lockport was cited for no valid driver’s license and speeding.

 

8/8       Location:  10s187 Normantown Road           One Stop Auto                        Wheatland

            Summary:  Three unknown male subjects were observed on video surveillance approaching the business with gloves and masks covering their faces.  The subject broke into the building, ransacked the office area and stole a launch scanner, a safe, USC, two laptops, a battery tester and a SnapOn Scanner.

HOMER GLEN

 

8/5       Location:  W. 167^th St. and S. Kensington Drive

            Summary:  Jeremy Galvin, age 20, was cited for aggravated speeding.

 

            Location:  15930 W. 159^th Street                               Lenny’s Gas N Wash

            Summary:  An unknown male white subject entered the business and handed the clerk a pre-paid debit card to pay for fuel.  The subject then pumped gas into a Chevy Silverado and multiple fuel tanks located in the back of his truck.  The total amount owed was $990.00 in diesel fuel.  The subject left the business without reentering the store.  The clerk then realized the debit card did not have any funds on it.

 

8/8       Location:  15060 S. Bell Road                                   Speedway/Dunkin Donuts

            Summary:  Deputies were called to a burglary at 3am where they discovered the drive-thru window of DD to be smashed in.  Nothing else was damaged in the area of DD, however multiple cartons of Newport cigarettes were on the floor on the Speedway side of the business.  Loose change and paper currency was also on the floor with two cash register damaged and missing their cash drawers.  Estimated stolen cartons of cigarettes was 20.  Estimated cash missing was under $150. 

   Upon review of video surveillance, it was determined that two offenders wearing dark clothing and masks broke into the drive-thru window and burglarized the business.

 

            Location:  15112 S. Bell Road                                   Creamery 151

            Summary:  Deputies were called to a burglary at 8am where they discovered the drive-thru window had been forced open.  The owner also pointed out that offender/s had entered a pickup truck that was parked in the lot.  It appeared that the offenders attempted to steal the truck but were unsuccessful.

      Inside the business, offenders ransacked the store and damaged two computer monitors.  Nothing was stolen.  Video surveillance revealed two subjects inside the business. 

 

LOCKPORT

 

8/3       Location:  400 block of Cliff Avenue

            Summary:  Timothy Hinton, age 35, of 329 W. Oak Avenue in Lockport was arrested for aggravated battery, aggravated robbery, criminal damage to property and battery.  Jermaine Johnson Sr., age 40, of 109 Luana Road in Joliet was arrested for aggravated battery, aggravated robbery and criminal damage to property.

            Location:  100 block of Fairmont

            Summary:  Charles McAfee, age 49, of Joliet was cited for driving while license revoked and operating vehicle without registration.

8/4       Location:  100 W. Jefferson St.                      Will County Courthouse

            Summary:  Nori Toovey, age 32, of Peru, IL was arrested for defrauding a court ordered drug/alcohol screening.

            Summary:  Brandon Heidleburg, age 23, of Joliet was cited for disobeying a stop sign and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  W. Jefferson and N. Larkin

            Summary:  LJ Barga, age 42, of Aurora was cited for resisting a peace officer, driving while license revoked, improper display of registration, expired registration and illegal transportation of alcohol.

            Summary:  Candice Armstead, age 34, of Joliet was cited for improper lane usage, failure to signal at turn, and fleeing a police officer.

            Summary:  Jimmy A. Figueroa, age 29, of Joliet was cited for driving while licensee suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

            Summary:  Eric Gigger, age 45, of 7631 S. Hermitage Avenue in Chicago was cited for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a trailer chassis, cargo container and scrap metal from the parking lot of the business.

            Summary:  Leon A. Lorenzo, age 32, of 24429 W. Woodridge Way in Joliet was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, possession of open alcohol and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

            Summary:  Amner Delgado-Beltran, age 30, of 407 S. Briggs St. in Joliet was arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo from the parking lot of the business.  The vehicle owner stated that he had left his vehicle running while he quickly went into the store to make a purchase. 

 

8/1       Location:  E. Cass and Algonquin

            Summary:  Abel Andrade, Jr., age 19, of Joliet was cited for aggravated speeding.

 

            Location:  1530 N. Broadway                        ATS Transport

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole six vehicle fenders and broke two windows on two semi-trucks while they were parked in the business lot.

            Summary:  Roy C. Garcia, age 41, of this address, was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm/ammunition, defacing identification marking on firearm, unlawful possession/use of a weapon, and two counts of domestic battery.  Garcia was also held on three in-state warrants.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a catalytic converter from a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander.

 

8/1       Location:  23000 block of S. Center Road                             Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2002 New Holland skid steer.

7/30     Location:  S. Weber and W. Renwick Road                          DuPage

            Summary:  Pedro Espinosa-Camacho, age 36, of 1407 Lincoln Highway in Joliet was cited for no registration lights and no valid driver’s license.

 

7/31     Location:  13909 S. Budler Road                   Creekside Elementary      Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown defaced the south side door of the school, a dumpster and a bench at the rear of the school by spray painting gang graffiti on them.

 

8/2       Location:  22000 block of W. Miller Drive                            Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2020 Kia Sportage from the driveway of a residence.  The vehicle was later recovered in the area.

 

            Location:  14000 block of S. Lakeridge Drive                       Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked Kia Sorento and ripped the dashboard from under the steering wheel in order to steal it.   Offender/s were unsuccessful.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2015 Kia Optima while it was parked on the street.

7/30     Location:  900 block of Alma Drive                           Wilmington

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into a vehicle and stole a compound bow, 24 arrows, and a case.  The vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys in the ignition.

            Summary:  Daniel S. Sala, age 50, of 7832 S. Lavergne in Burbank was cited for disobeying a traffic control device and driving while license suspended.

            Summary:  Sommer Moody, age 21, of 44 Oriole Road in Matteson was cited for aggravated speeding.

            Summary:  Person’s unknown threw a brick at the windshield of a semi-truck causing it to shatter.  The offenders were riding in an open bed truck when they threw the brick.  The semi driver was not injured.

            Summary:  Eliseo Alvarez, Jr., age 21, of Schererville, IN was cited for aggravated speeding.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown ignited a large firework next to a residence causing a large amount of damage to the siding.

            Summary:  William W. Kirkham, age 50, of 615 Aspen in Frankfort was arrested for aggravated DUI and reckless driving.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into a Jeep Cherokee and broke the turn signal lever, pulled the interior overhead light housing out of the ceiling and broke the two-side view outside mirrors along with putting two dents on the passenger door.

            Summary:  Jordan D. Hughes, age 26, of 2013 Arthur Avenue in Lockport was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

7/19     Location:  14815 S. Gougar Road                              Wingren Landscape

            Summary:  Person/s unknown cut the gate lock in order to gain entry into the business property.  Offender/s then unsuccessfully broke into two storage containers however were successful in gaining entry into a third.  Several tools were stolen.

 

7/21     Location:  W. 151^st and S. Bell Road

            Summary:  Tareq Bouaraoua-Jansen, age 45, of 1307 W. Lincoln Highway in DeKalb was cited for speeding and no valid driver’s license.

7/21     Location:  20603 Burl Court                          Interstate Emergency

            Summary:  Owner of business reported to deputies that around 2:40pm he observed an unknown male black subject with a cover over his face, pull up to his business mailbox and steal three business checks from it.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown forced entry into the business building and stole over $100,000 in tools, air guns, tool carts and wrenches.

            Summary:  Peter J. McCloud, age 37, of 844 N. Monticello in Chicago was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer.

 

            Location:  700 block of Cherry Hill Road

            Summary:  Kenneth Armani Johnson, age 21, of 141115 S. Manistee in Chicago was arrested for domestic battery, aggravated battery, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, defacing ID marks on a firearm, possession of firearm w/o FOID card, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.  Johnson was also held on two outstanding warrants from Chicago Police and DuPage County Sheriff’s Office.

 

7/25     Location:  Surrounding Joliet Township businesses

            Summary:   Sheriff’s deputies conducted alcohol/tobacco compliance checks at various businesses within the Joliet and Lockport Township areas.  Nine businesses were checked with two Joliet businesses, Highland Liquors and Ingalls Park Liquors, not being in compliance.  The employees were given ordinance violation.

            Summary:  Michael McDonnell, age 56, of 7503 W. 136^th Avenue in Cedar Lake, IN was arrested for DUI and illegal stopping on roadway.

Summary:  Asilio Ziadat, age 25, of 85 Bradford Road in Joliet was arrested for burglary to motor vehicle and possession of stolen property.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a wheelchair from the front of a residence.  It is described as blue in color with a straight bar across the front and no armrests.  The chair is a manual chair (not motorized) and made by National Seating and Mobility.

            Summary:  Jordan Lesley, age 26, of 214 Fairmont in Lockport was charged with defrauding a court ordered drug/alcohol screening test.

 

            Location:  95 S. Chicago St.                           Adult Detention Facility

            Summary:  Ramon Maldonado, age 26, of 3202 Florence Avenue in Steger was charged with possession of contraband in penal institution and battery.

7/14     Location:  S. Chicory Trail and W. 143^rd St.

            Summary:  Marc Pedroni, age 68, of 14452 S. Crème Road in Homer Glen was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and suspended registration.

 

            Location:  15112 S. Bell Road                                   Creamery 151

            Summary:  Owners stated that around 1:48am their business had been burglarized.  Two unknown subjects wearing all black made forced entry through the drive-up window.  Offenders stole a small amount of USC from the register drawers and the keys for a company vehicle that was parked in the lot.  Offenders stole the vehicle, a 2015 Ford pick-up truck.

            Summary:  Juan Casimiro Ramirez, age 48, of 2420 Highland Avenue in Berwyn was arrested for DUI.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into the property and stole a catalytic converter from a 2017 Ford Motor Home, a 2003 Chevy Astro van, and a 2006 Ford mini-bus.

            Summary:  Gerardo Servin, age 38, of 126 S. Constance Lane in Chicago Heights was cited for speeding and no valid driver’s license.

            Summary:  Tyron Macklin, age 20, of 22157 Merrill in Sauk Village was cited for aggravated speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a construction site and stole an air conditioning unit.

            Summary:  Thomas E. Moore, age 22, of 2292 Brookstone Drive in Bolingbrook was cited for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

7/16     Location:  10000 block of S. Wentworth Drive                     Wheatland

            Summary:  Three unknown subjects, one male black and two male whites, all with firearms, entered the front door of a residence and robbed the three subjects, (in their 20’s) that were at the residence.  Phones, cash, and credit cards were stolen from the victims.  The victims were not injured.   The offenders were observed leaving the scene in a blue Dodge Charger with heavy tinted windows and Texas registration.   Under investigation.

7/14     Location:  Riverview and Grandview           

            Summary:  Diante Hunter, age 30, of 206 Nobes in Lockport was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, obstructing identification, resisting a peace officer, driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of cannabis by driver.  Hunter was also held on two outstanding Will County warrants.

            Summary:  Zachary Lofdahl, age 31, of 1105 Bartel Road in Joliet was cited for speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while license suspended and expired registration.

            Summary:  Dennis Harris, age 66, of 12400 W. Hadley Road in Homer Glen was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating vehicle with no registration and defective windshield.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown smashed out a window of a vehicle and stole a purse containing cash, prescription medications, and a checkbook.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown smashed out a window of a vehicle and stole a purse containing cash and credit cards.  While victim was awaiting deputies to arrive to file the report she had already received a notice from Walmart advising her that a credit card purchase had been made.

 

7/8       Location:  9700 block of S. Carls Drive                     Plainfield

            Summary:  Victim advised that over the past year his residence had been targeted by someone hitting golf balls onto his property.  On this date, one of his work vehicles was struck by multiple golf balls, causing dents in the vehicle and cracking a windshield.  Victim advised that whoever has been hitting golf balls is improving their aim capabilities and fears that the balls will begin striking his residence. 

 

7/9       Location:  23621 W. 135^th St.            Plainfield                     Eaton Preserve park

            Summary:  Victim stated that while he and his family were at the park he observed a male black subject climbing into his back window.  The subject then left in a white four-door vehicle.  Victim then went to his vehicle and discovered that the subject had stolen his wife’s purse containing cash and several credit cards.  While deputies were taking the report, the victim received a phone alert stating that a purchase for over $500 was attempted at the Walmart in Naperville.  The purchase was made by a female white who had attempted to use several of the cards at the self-checkout.

Berry, age 50, of 106 North Avenue in Lockport was cited for driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, disobeying a stop sign, operating vehicle with suspended registration, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driver’s license classification violation.

            Summary:  George M. Towns, age 43, of this address, was arrested for aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting arrest.

 

FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX

            Summary:  Darren J. Booth, age 40, of 3707 W. Hirsch in Chicago was arrested for criminal trespass to property.

 

7/8       Location:  7626 W. Lincoln Highway                        Old Plank Trail Bank              Frankfort

            Summary:  Deputies responded to an activated alarm around 4am and observed the ATM at the drive-thru to be broken with plastic pieces spread across the parking lot area.  Deputies also observed a black residue on the ATM.  Deputies spoke with a clerk at the nearby Circle K who stated that he was inside working when he heard a loud boom.  He exited the store and observed a subject entering the passenger side of an unknown type vehicle.   Bank employee stated that no money had been removed from the ATM.  Video surveillance was being reviewed at time of report.

            Summary:  Employee stated person/s unknown broke into a semi-trailer and stole a fluke multimeter, a Defelsko posietector and a testex spring meter.  Estimated loss value:  $4,550.

 

            Location:  95 S. Chicago St.                           Adult Detention Facility

            Summary:  Antonio Tobar, age 36, of 358 N. Broadway in Joliet was charged with aggravated battery to a correctional officer.

 

7/6       Location:  100 block of Edison Road

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a purse and Apple air pods.

 

            Location:  S. Briggs and E. Washington

            Summary:  Roy Perkins, age 47, of 415 N. Broadway in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  400 block of N. Hebbard

            Summary:  Victim stated that he went outside about midnight and observed an unknown individual underneath the hood of his vehicle.  The individual ran away.  The victim observed his battery missing.

            Summary: Sherri Barlow, age 56, of 416 Davison in Joliet was cited for no valid driver’s license and expired registration.

 

7/8       Location:  400 block of Ray May Drive

            Summary:  Three unknown male blacks were observed on video surveillance removing the window panel from a residence.  The offenders stole a Play Station 4 and a 55” TV.

 

            Location:  Youngs Avenue and E. Jackson

            Summary:  Markise McKinnis, age 40, of 302 W. Division St. in Joliet was arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  N. Briggs and E. Cass

            Summary:  Gabriel Nieves, age 19, of 17750 W. Quail Ridge Drive in Lockport was cited for speeding.

            Summary:  Persons unknown, driving a red Subaru sedan, stole a 2007 Nissan Murano from the driveway of a residence.
