5/28 Location: 7905 W. Lincoln Highway Frankfort Fire House Pub
Summary: Person/s unknown broke into the business and broke the ticket vending machine for the video gaming. At time of report, it was unknown how much was stolen.
Location: 7232 and 7228 W. Benton Drive Frankfort Happy Daze & Rich’s Pizza
Summary: Upon arrival, deputies observed the glass entry door to be broken and the interior security gate to be damaged. The main entry door into Rich’s Pizza was also broken. Owner of Happy Daze reported several thousand dollars of merchandise was stolen. Owner of Rich’s reported that nothing was stolen from his business.
5/29 Location: S. Harlem and Vollmer Road Frankfort
Summary: Angelina Lazar, age 28, of Matteson was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with suspended registration.
LOCKPORT
5/26 Location: 200 Barrett St.
Summary: Victim stated, around 10pm he noticed an unknown Hispanic man outside his fence giving commands to his dog. The dog was located inside the victim’s fenced yard. Victim went into his backyard and told the unknown man he was not welcome to give the dog commands. A verbal argument ensued and the man walked away to the front of the victims property on the street. Victim stated that he was then able to see the man was walking with a pitbull and was openly carrying a handgun. The dispute then continued and the Hispanic man pulled out a badge and said, “CPD” as he also fully extended his arm and pointed the firearm at the victim. The victim retrieved to his house, was unharmed, and called 911.
Deputies canvassed the area looking for the armed suspect however they did not find him. Video surveillance is being reviewed.

Summary: John C. Foster, age 42, of 922 West Park Avenue in Joliet was arrested for aggravated battery with a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, reckless discharge, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and was held on two outstanding traffic warrants.
HOMER GLEN
5/23 Location: 13000 block of Kickapoo Trail
Summary: Deputies were dispatched to a residence to assist Chicago Police in order to contact the owner of a Dodge Charger, and to inform the owner that they were in possession of multiple personal items that were inside the vehicle. Upon speaking to the vehicle owner, he advised that he was unaware that his vehicle had been stolen during the evening hours. The vehicle had been locked with no keys inside. Broken glass was located where the vehicle had been parked. CPD advised that they located golf clubs, a GPS and a radar detector on W. 125th Place in Chicago. The Charger had not been located.
While deputies were at the residence, they observed a 2012 Chrysler 300, unoccupied, parked the wrong way in front of the residence. The homeowner advised that the vehicle was not familiar to him, nor did any of his neighbors drive that type of vehicle. Upon investigating, several items were recovered from the Chrysler that were proceeds from several burglaries to motor vehicles in Lemont and Cook County. Deputies took possession of the vehicle.

Summary: Melissa M. McCarthy, age 36, of Orland Park was cited for driving while license suspended, speeding, and expired registration.
5/26 Location: Businesses throughout Homer Glen
Summary: Deputies conducted a random tobacco compliance operation to 19 businesses in the Village of Homer Glen. The purpose is to hold businesses accountable to the law for the sale of tobacco and related products. Fifteen of the businesses were in compliance with the sale of tobacco/products to legally aged individuals, and four businesses were not in compliance and received a citation.
5/27 Location: 14169 S. Bell Road Meijer
Summary: Jason Simonelli, age 46, of 7218 Capitol Drive in Darien was arrested for retail theft.
5/28 Location: 12108 W. 159th St. Mobile Gas
Summary: Deputies responded to an activated burglar alarm. Upon arriving they observed the front glass door to be shattered. Video surveillance revealed that around 12:25am, a silver midsize SUV entered the parking lot and parked in front of the business. A large towel was covering the rear passenger window. Video showed four unknown suspects exit, carrying a duffel bag and two large garbage bags. Suspects were all wearing hoodies, gloves, and masks. Three suspects entered the store and filled their bags with cigarettes and cigars from behind the counter. The fourth suspect remained in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. It was unknown at time of report how much was stolen.

5/27 Location: 25940 S. Dixie Highway Throwback Bar and Grill
Summary: Deputies responded to an activated burglar alarm. Upon arrival they observed the front door partly open with pry marks. Deputies entered and observed barstools and trashcans knocked over. One slot machine was pried open.

Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 2022 Bad Boy ZT Elite lawnmower from the backyard of a residence.
