EAST TOWNSHIPS
5/25 Location: S. Fountainview Drive Crete
Summary: Sheriffs were called to a solicitor complaint where they spoke to an elderly person who stated that an unknown white SUV followed him home while he was driving back to his residence. The vehicle pulled in behind him and a male/white, stocky man wearing a reflective vest said to him that he needed to enter the home to test the water. The victim allowed the unknown man into the home where he turned on the water and then directed the victim out to the backyard patio. The unknown man then began discussing repairs needing to be done on the victims’ deck. After a few minute conversation, the man left in his vehicle. Nothing appeared to be stolen at time of report.

5/26 Location: S. Cemetery and W. Smiley Road Reed
Summary: Vincent L. DeSalvo, age 62, of 24717 W. Fair Oaks Drive in Braidwood was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration.
5/27 Location: 24001 W. Lorenzo Road Mohsen Truck Stop Wilmington
Summary: Person/s unknown broke the seals off eight semi-trailers that were parked in the business parking lot. Eight semi-trailer drivers filed reports with deputies.
5/29 Location: I55 and W. Coal City Road Reed
Summary: Rodney E. Otis, age 38, of 764 Lincoln Avenue in Decatur was cited for aggravated speeding and aggravated driving while license revoked. Tobias L. Williams, age 45, of 1440 Wellington Way in Decatur was arrested for obstructing justice, possession of open alcohol, and depositing material on highway. He was held on an active Macon County warrant.

5/26 Location: 2601 Canal St. Canal Auto Salvage
Summary: Two 16 year-old males were charged with criminal trespass to property after they were identified as the offenders who had broken several windows of the business and motor vehicles.

5/25 Location: 95 S. Chicago St. Adult Detention Facility
Summary: Malik M. Elam, age 22, of 2940 E. 223rd St. in Sauk Village was charged with obstructing justice after refusing to attend his Cook County court hearing.

Summary: Johnathan N. Mosley, age 29, of 192 Roberts Road in Bolingbrook was cited for obstructing justice after he refused to go to his DuPage County court hearing.

Summary: Jahreign Burgin, age 30, of 5700 Kennedy Terrace in Gary, IN was cited for driving while license suspended and aggravated speeding.

Summary: Gabriel Barrios, age 35, of 504 N. Franklin in Joliet was cited for disobeying a traffic control device, driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper use of registration and expired registration.

Summary: Michael W. Waszak, age 19, of 1434 Red Top Lane in Minooka was cited for no seat belts, no valid license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Summary: Aurelys Lugo, age 20, of 2258 W. Coulter in Chicago was cited for aggravated speeding.

Summary: Amanda Alaimo, age 31, of 920 Manor Court in Joliet was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Jacob Cardenas, age 26, of 1851 Asbury Circle in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and improper lighting. Cardenas was held on three active Will County warrants.

Summary: James Sankey III, age 40, of 19 N. Main St. in Glen Ellyn was cited for driving while license suspended, illegal use of cell phone and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Summary: Ceandre Moore, age 31, of 945 Purdue Lane in Matteson was charged with battery after punching another inmate.
5/27 Location: 3000 block of Galena Drive
Summary: An elderly victim stated that around 1pm a male/white man knocked on her front door and asked to check her water due to some contamination in the area. The victim allowed the man into the home and he went to the kitchen and then to the bathroom and turned on the water. The man then left. He was described as 5’10” and about 200lbs, wearing beige khaki pants and driving a red SUV. It was later discovered that silver coins inside a plastic bag were stolen from the home.

Summary: Manager advised that on 5/22 he observed on video surveillance, a large, plain white box truck enter and leave the property numerous times. On today’s date he discovered nine empty pallets and shrink-wrap stuffed between other pallets. The nine pallets had 70 bags of Miracle Gro Potting mix on them. He later discovered that a marketplace listing was selling them on Facebook.
5/28 Location: Richards and E. Washington
Summary: Jolene Tyler, age 29, of 112 Luana Road in Joliet was cited for improper lighting, no valid license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Summary: Quinnette Amos, age 36, of 281 Edgehill Drive in Bolingbrook was cited for no registration lights, one headlight, no taillights, and driving while license suspended.

Summary: Shantell Bew, age 24, of 704 McDonough in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.
Location: 95 S. Chicago St. Adult Detention Facility
Summary: Rocky D. Ponton, age 46, of 1102 Beauchamp Avenue in Manteno was charged with obstructing justice after he refused to be transported to Kankakee County for a court hearing.
5/29 Location: E. Jefferson and Mary St.
Summary: Leonel Hernandez, age 30, of 444 Mallview Lane in Bolingbrook was cited for driving while license revoked.
Location: 95 S. Chicago St. Adult Detention Facility
Summary: Derrell D. Draper, age 38, of 8635 S. 87th Avenue in Justice was charged with public indecency.
Location: E. Zarley Blvd.
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a Toyota Camry after the owner pulled it out of the garage, left it running, and ran into the house for a few minutes. Later in the day, Joliet Police handled a motor vehicle accident that the Camry was involved in.

Summary: Angelo Lee, age 22, of 816 2nd Avenue in Joliet was cited for no front license plate, no valid license, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
5/30 Location: McDonough and Mission
Summary: Arnoldo Chavez, age 35, of 914 Greenleaf Drive in Joliet was arrested for improper lane usage and DUI.
5/31 Location: Collins and E. Jackson
Summary: Elizandro Rodriguez, age 32, of 804 Woodruff in Joliet was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to signal. He was held on an active Will County warrant.
Location: Bradford Road
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a catalytic converter off a vehicle that was parked in a parking lot overnight.
HOMER GLEN
5/27 Location: S. Cokes Road
Summary: An elderly couple stated that around 10am an unknown man, driving a red, possible Chevy Blazer, wearing a medical mask, baseball cap, dark shirt and pants, and a yellow reflective vest, knocked on their door. The man stated that he worked for the water company and wanted to inspect the water because a person in the neighborhood was sick. The man was allowed inside the home and went to the kitchen sink. He then asked for a container so he could take a water sample. The man then left after about 10 minutes. It was later discovered that a safe with miscellaneous legal documents inside was stolen. It is believed that a second person entered the home while the couple was in the kitchen with the man.
5/28 Location: S. Bell and W. 143rd St.
Summary: David M. Borik, age 25, of 14541 S. Birchdale Drive in Homer Glen was arrested for failure to reduce speed, no headlights, operating vehicle in unsafe condition, failure to yield to emergency vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give/render aid, failure to report accident to police, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and DUI.
5/30 Location: 15000 block of S. Nutmeg Avenue
Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a garage door opener.
Location: 12330 W. 143rd St. Smoker’s Expo
Summary: Deputies were called due to an activated alarm. Upon arrival, they observed two front windows and one glass door to be damaged from a medium sized stone. The owner arrived on scene and thru video surveillance it was discovered that three offenders, driving in a dark colored Nissan with no rear license plates, attempted multiple times to break into the front windows/doors of the business. After failed attempts, the offenders left the scene.
WEST TOWNSHIPS
5/31 Location: 23000 block of W. Douglas Drive Plainfield
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 2012 Infinity. The vehicle was unlocked with the keys in the glove box. While family members were searching the area they located the vehicle two blocks away parked on a curb. The car had been rifled through but nothing was missing.
