How to Apply
Applications are available at local sheriff’s offices or the internet at Click on the SCHOLARSHIP tab at the top of the page. Fill out the application, complete the written essay and return all documentation to the Sheriff’s Office in the county of your permanent residence by June 30, 2017 (must be postmarked by this date). Do not send completed applications to the ISA Office!

  • Scholarships applicants must be dependents of active duty or retired Law Enforcement or Law Enforcement killed in line of duty death or dependents of active duty military, active Military Reserve, active National Guard or a member killed in action.
  • Applicants must be permanent Illinois residents.
  • Scholarships are to be utilized at institutions of higher learning within Illinois.
  • Students must plan to be enrolled as full-time students.

Applications for Will County residents are now available for download with this link - Scholarship Application or at the Sheriff's Office in the Courthouse, 14 W. Jefferson Street, Room 103 in Joliet, or on the Internet at  Will County Residents/Students must complete the application, answer the essay question and return all documentation to the WILL COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE by June 30th, 2017.
