|WILL COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE RESPONDS TO HOMICIDE/SUICIDE - Joliet Township »|
The bench trial of Bethany McKee is scheduled to begin Monday, August 4th at 10:00am in the Will County Courthouse, Room 407. The Sheriff's Office Public Affairs Division is not anticipating any national press coverage therefore seating should not be an issue. We would also like to inform you that there will not be an overflow room.
All who are planning to attend please be advised of the following:
1. In order to bring cell phones and electronics into the courthouse you will need a valid media credential. If you do not have one you will need to apply by sending an email to email@example.com. NO credentials will be issued on the same day an application is received.
2. Your credential allows special access into the courthouse through the single southeast door where employees enter. Please have your credential displayed on the outside of your clothing for easy recognition by security staff and deputies throughout the courthouse. Keep in mind that you may be stopped at any time for security processing.
3. Your credential also allows you to bring in your cell phone, laptop, etc. Lockers will be available outside the courtroom. You will need to lock up all of your electronics before entering the courtroom. No photographs, video, or audio recordings are allowed. This is a standing court order in Will County.
---Anyone who has previously arranged for a media credential can pick them up Monday morning after 9:00am outside the southeast doors of the courthouse.
