            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out the window of a vehicle in order to steal a purse from inside. 

 

FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX

 

11/23   Location:  S. 88^th Avenue and W. Dralle Road                      Frankfort

            Summary:  Stacey Santoro-Murphy, age 44, of 24448 S. 88^th Avenue in Frankfort was arrested for DUI.

 

            Location:  500 block of Old Hickory Road                New Lenox

            Summary:  A female victim stated that around 8:30am she observed a white SUV pull into her driveway with two male Hispanics inside.  One subject exited the vehicle and asked the victim if she was home alone.  The victim stated that she was.  The subject told the victim that he knew her because he used to be her paperboy when he was a kid.  The subject then stated that he was going to be doing some digging in the backyard for his employer and stated that he would show her where.   They both walked around the house to the backyard.  After the two men left, the victim realized that some gold jewelry was missing from her bedroom. 

 

11/24   Location:  7200 block of Benton Drive                      Frankfort

            Summary:  Around 8:30pm, a delivery driver from Rich’s Pizza ran into the store leaving his vehicle doors unlocked and the engine running.  When he came back outside about 10 minutes later his 2014 Dodge Avenger was gone.

            Summary:  Jasmyn Williamson, age 21, of 525 Landau Road in University Park was cited for speeding, no valid registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.

            Summary:  Nasaya Link, age 34, of 2503 John Bourg Drive in Plainfield was cited for driving while license suspended and improper lighting.

            Summary:  Two unknown male subjects entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a purse.

            Summary:  Efrain A. Portillo Ortiz, age 38, of Gustatoya, Guatamala, was cited for no valid driver’s license and overweight/size load.

 

            Location:  500 block of Blackhawk St.

            Summary:  Two unknown male Hispanics were observed on video surveillance attempting to break into a detached garage but were unsuccessful.  The subjects are then observed hopping the fence and going to a second residence where they entered an unlocked vehicle.  Nothing of value was inside the vehicle.  Nothing was stolen.

            Summary:  Tiffany L. Dale, age 37, of 203 Richards in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

            Summary:  Robert W. Swenson, age 83, of 515 Emmett in Joliet was cited for expired registration, unsafe equipment, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no valid driver’s license.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a 9mm handgun and a wallet containing identification cards and a FOID card.

            Summary:  LB V Johnson, age 46, of 224 Riverview Avenue in Lockport was cited for no valid driver’s license and no registration lights.

            Summary:  Jose L. Cerrillo, age 52, of 2026 Tamarack Drive in Joliet was arrested for DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2001 GMC Yukon from the driveway of a residence.

            Summary:  Jeffrey Paganessi, age 41, of this address, was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct.

            Summary:  Devetta White, age 36, of this address, was cited for improper display of registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no valid driver’s license.

 

            Location:  I55 and Plainfield Road

            Summary:  John Parker, age 23, of 8103 Rt. 53 in Woodridge was cited for driving while license suspended and was held on an active FTA Will County warrant.

 

            Location:  1300 block of Marie Avenue

            Summary:  Adrian Jimenez, age 19, of 1009 Hacker Avenue in Joliet was arrested for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driver’s license never issued, failure to exercise due care/pedestrian, failure to give aid, leaving the scene of an accident, DUI, DUI/drug, and DUI/combination alcohol and drugs.  Jimenez was also arrested for nine felony aggravated DUI charges.

 

11/18   Location:  N. Briggs and E. Cass

            Summary:  Giovanni Class, age 19, of 102 Richards St. in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and speeding.

 

            Location:  400 block of Sehring

            Summary:  Deputies spoke with a male subject who stated that around 8:40pm, while he was driving in the area, he observed a Cadillac Escalade in front of him driving erratically.  The subject stated that upon approaching Sehring, he needed to turn in order to get to his destination.  The Cadillac turned onto Sehring and as the subject also turned, he observed a passenger hang out the window of the Cadillac and begin shooting at him.  One bullet struck the hood of the subject’s vehicle, bounced off and struck the windshield causing it to shatter.  Glass from the windshield struck the subject in the face but he refused medical attention at the scene.  Under investigation.

            Summary:  Maythe A. Ocampo, age 24, of 513 Krakar Avenue in Joliet was cited for no valid driver’s license, revoked registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.  She was also held on an active Will County warrant.

 

FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX

 

11/12   Location:  W. Lincoln Highway and S. Pfeiffer Road                       Frankfort

            Summary:  James J. Mountfort, age 50, of 4678 Lilac Avenue in Monee was cited for improper use of registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.  He was held on two active warrants; one out of Cook County, the other out of Will County.

 

11/14   Location:  500 block of Willow Road                                    New Lenox

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a pickup truck and stole a briefcase containing several personal documents.

 

11/16   Location:  19730 S. Harlem Avenue              Speedway                   Frankfort

            Summary:  Shortly before 11:00am deputies responded to the store, where they spoke with two female employees who stated that person/s unknown had stolen both of their purses from the office area.  Upon review of video footage and questioning the employees it was determined that an unknown black male subject entered the store at 10:45am and brought several items to the counter.  While the man was in line, he made a phone call. The man then left the line and while the employees were busy with customers the man entered the office, grabbed the purses, and entered the washroom. Shortly after, he left the bathroom with his coat balled up in his arms.  He then left the store and entered a small black vehicle.   A second male black subject had also entered the store after he exited the driver’s side of the same black vehicle. That male bought a cup of coffee and paid for the gas he had gotten and left the store.    One of the purses was recovered in the washroom garbage; a wallet containing credit cards was stolen from it.   The other purse was not recovered and contained credit cards, a 9mm handgun, a FOID card, and a conceal carry license.  Under investigation.

            Summary:  Anthony P. Abramowicz, age 32, of 591 Diane Court in Lockport was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

11/17   Location:  18760 S. Marjorie Parkway                       Mokena

            Summary:  Arthur Raban, age 57, of this address, was arrested for aggravated assault.

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS

 

11/12   Location:  24000 block of S. Stoney Island               Crete

            Summary:  Jordyn Martinez, age 23, of 2048 High Street in Blue Island was cited for no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and too fast for conditions.

 

11/13   Location:  W. Steger Road and S. Kings Road                                  Crete

            Summary:  Thomas J. Botts, Jr., age 23, of 1912 S. Chicago Street in Joliet was cited for obstructing identification.  He was held on two active warrant out of Kankakee County and two active warrants out of Will County.

 

11/13   Location:  920 White Oak Lane                                 Crete

            Summary:  Brandon C. Kennedy, age 28 of this address, was arrested by the Will County Gang Suppression Unit after executing a warrant for his arrest.  He was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

 

11/15   Location:  W. Wilmington-Peotone Road and S. 104^th Avenue                    Peotone

            Summary:  Jose M. Torres, age 28, of 31508 S. Rt. 45 in Peotone was arrested for aggravated speeding.

 

11/16   Location:  25000 block of S. Rt. 45                Monee             Shell Gas

            Summary:  Deputies were called at about 4am regarding an armed robbery that had just occurred.  A female employee advised that two male black subjects entered the store wearing all black with gloves on and face masks.  One subject grabbed her from the kitchen area and escorted her to the front register.  She was forced to the ground while the subjects filled garbage bags with Newport cigarettes and Black/Mild cigars.  The offender also stole $55 from the register.  The employee stated that at least one of the subjects was armed with a handgun.

Deputies also spoke to a male customer who was in the store at the time of the robbery.  He advised that the offenders quickly moved towards him when they entered the store.  The customer stated that he believes that while he was being forced to the ground a handgun was pointed at the back of his head.  The offender/s took $100 cash from the customer.  No one was injured.   Under investigation.

            Summary:  Suvanno Chansiri, age 19, of 31 S. Arbor Trail in Park Forest was cited for fleeing peace officers, driving while license suspended, improper lighting and illegal transportation of alcohol.

            Summary:  Damaris Pacheco, age 19, of 722 Jackson St. in Aurora was cited for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

LOCKPORT

 

11/8     Location:  100 block of Dellwood Avenue

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, while the engine was warming up, and stole the vehicle.  The owner started the vehicle at 8pm and went back into the residence for about 15 minutes.  When the owner went back outside the vehicle was gone.

 

            Location:  200 block of Dellwood Avenue

            Summary:  Around 11:35pm, deputies were called to a shots fired call at a residence.  Deputies spoke with the homeowners who stated that they heard about eight gunshots when the glass from the front door was struck and shattered.  Deputies located six shell casings in the street in front of the residence.  A witness in the area stated that they observed a small, dark colored, SUV leave the scene at a high rate of speed.  No one in the residence was injured.

 

11/10   Location:  700 block of N. State St.

            Summary:  Pedro P. Pinto, age 58, of 7312 W. 58^th Place in Summit was cited for improper use of registration, no valid license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no registration plate, and improper display of license plate.  Erick F. Pinto, age 23, of 7312 W. 58^th Place in Summit was cited for no valid license.

11/6     Location:  8460 W. Blackthorne Way                        Frankfort

            Summary:  Kenneth R. Kuzmicki, age 58, of this address, was arrested for improper lane usage, operating unsafe vehicle, unsafe/slow speed, improper display of registration, improper use of registration, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, reckless driving, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while license revoked, DUI, failure to yield emergency vehicle, DUI/drugs, DUI combination Alcohol/Drugs, aggravated driving while license revoked, and 15 counts of Aggravated DUI, DUI/drugs charges.

            Summary:  Dekores D. Wade, age 27, of 68 N. Chicago in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

            Summary:  David A. Ortiz, age 36, of 941 Lois Place in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into a detached garage and stole a 20-gallon air compressor, a 125cc mini dirt bike and a Moto 80 cc mini dirt bike.

            Summary:  Treyvonne D. Rideout, age 27, of 300 N. Bluff in Joliet and Martinez McCants, age 27, of 3417 Kings Road in Steger were both charged with aggravated battery.

            Summary:  Deandre Tillman, age 24, of 462 S. DesPlaines in Joliet was cited for speeding, improper lighting, failure to signal and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  W. Jefferson and N. Hammes

            Summary:  Pierre L. Currie, age 30, of 4514 Hedgerow Court in Plainfield was arrested for improper lane usage, no child seat belt violation, failure to carry driver’s license on person, illegal use of cell phone, and DUI/drugs and endangering the life of a child.

 

            Location:  300 block of Manhattan Road

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2008 Ford Econoline 250 from the parking lot of a business.  The van was reported missing at 11:40pm.  Will County Dispatch Center received a call at 4:50pm, from the Chicago Police Department, reporting that they had recovered the vehicle on the 1400 block of S. Pulaski in Chicago.

            Summary:  James A. Harriel, age 24, of 437 Homeland Road in Matteson was cited for driving while license suspended and improper display of registration.

 

10/31   Location:  7218 W. Lincoln Highway                                    Speedway                   Frankfort

            Summary:  Around 2:25am, a male/black in his late 40’s with a grey beard, approximately 150 lbs., wearing a grey hat and a Chicago Bears pullover, entered the store.  The man asked the clerk for two cartons of Newport 100 cigarettes.  The clerk retrieved the cartons and placed them on the counter.  The man then asked the clerk for a pack of Black & Milds.  When the clerk turned her back to get them the man lunged across the counter, grabbed the cigarettes, and fled the store in a white newer model sedan.    The clerk was not injured.  No patrons were in the store at the time of the theft.  Video surveillance is being reviewed.  A similar incident was reported at the Mokena Speedway on S. LaGrange Road shortly after this incident was reported.

            Summary:  Ryan J. Kokosz, age 19, of 16019 S. Donna Marie Drive in Homer Glen was arrested for criminal trespass to property after he was positively identified as the person who scaled a fence and entered private property of a Hemp farm.

            Summary:  Leslie P. Konicki, age 85, of 622 Hawley Drive in Oswego was cited for improper lane usage, failure to report an accident to police, failure to give information to owner after damaging property, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

            Summary:  William R. Istad, age 54, of 26729 S. Dunlieth Court in Crete was arrested for criminal trespass to property and theft under $500.

 

            Location:  27641 S. Stoney Island Avenue                Tuckaway Golf Course                       Crete

            Summary:  General Manager stated that person/s unknown entered the property, removed a metal barrier that surrounded the golf carts and stole 16 carts.  It appears that the carts were driven from the cart corral, through the course and through a wooded area at the north end of the course near Goodenow and Stoney Island Avenue.

 

10/30   Location:  34^th St. and Union Avenue                                    Steger

            Summary:  Caesar Gonzales, age 23, of 1164 Wilcox St. in Hammond, IN was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, obstructed windows and no valid driver’s license.  Gonzales was held on an active Illinois State Police FTA warrant.

            Summary:  Christian M. Goodlow, age 21, of 683 Jefferson St. in Crete was cited for driving while license suspended and improper lighting.

 

11/4     Location:  24000 block of S. Kings Rd.                     Crete

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2016 Jeep Cherokee from the driveway of a residence.  Later in the day, the vehicle owner contacted deputies to report that the GPS in his stolen vehicle showed that the vehicle was parked in the area of 35^th and Susan Lane in Steger.  Deputies located the vehicle on the 3600 block of Susan Lane.  The vehicle was returned to its owner.

            Summary:  Property owner stated that when one of his employees arrived at work they realized that person/s unknown had illegally entered the property and stole around 275 hemp plants from his four green houses.  It appears that offenders drove a vehicle from the greenhouses and headed north to Founders Xing and Bell Road to enter and exit the property.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a Ford L8000 dump truck with a white cab and a red dumper.  A 2013 load max trailer was attached to the truck at time of theft.  A 2006 Caterpillar 416D front loader backhoe was on the trailer along with an IPass transponder, generator, a saw, hammer drill, four large rolls of copper, plastic piping, air gun and the bucket for the backhoe.   Video surveillance is being reviewed.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole an IPod and a camera bag containing a Nikon D5200 digital camera and a camera lens.

            Summary:  Two unknown subjects were observed on video surveillance entering the property and stealing a Toro standing lawn mower from a storage lot. 

 

            Location:  14000 block of S. Boulder Drive

            Summary:  Deputies were dispatched at 3:30am to Pebble Creek Subdivision where they observed a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of Birchdale and Sandstone Drive.  The vehicle was unlocked and the key fob was on the front seat.  The registered owner was listed to live on S. Boulder Drive in Homer Glen.  The owner was not aware that his vehicle was stolen until deputies came to his door.
