            Summary:  Todd A. Potter, age 44, of 242 Krakar in Joliet was cited for driving while license revoked, failure to give information, failure to report accident and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

            Summary:  Shawniquia McAfee, age 24, of 704 Campbell in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and failure to dim headlights.

 

HOMER GLEN

 

12/8     Location:  13000 block of S. Long Run Drive

            Summary:  A homeowner reported that around 3pm, while she was outside, she was approached by a white male subject who had exited a mid-sized dark colored SUV.  The man identified himself as an employee of ComEd and provided an ID card that had a photo on it.  The photo did not resemble the man who was holding it.  The woman stated that the man told her there was a car that had struck a utility pole down the street and her power may go out in twenty minutes.  The man asked to come into the house to check the outlets.  When the man entered, he checked her thermostat and then entered the kitchen where a second man was standing.  Shortly after looking at the outlets in the kitchen, both men left.  She later discovered that cash and fine jewelry had been stolen from a bedroom.

            Summary:  Cielito Clavero, age 31, of 10716 Linder Avenue in Oak Lawn was cited for aggravated speeding.

            Summary:  Joshua Burchardt, age 31, of 21665 W. Grand Avenue in Wilmington was cited for driving while license suspended and improper lane usage.

            Summary:  Adonis Horton, age 37, of 5014 W. Monroe St. in Chicago was arrested for DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol.

            Summary:  Persons unknown stole a 2013 Volkswagen CC Sport from a driveway after 4am.  The doors were unlocked with the keys in the vehicle.  The vehicle owner believed that this type of crime would not happen in his neighborhood.

 

12/12   Location:  13000 block of W. 184^th Place                              Frankfort

            Summary:  James C. Beil, age 73, of 9702 Hummingbird Hill Drive in Orland Park was arrested for aggravated battery and Christopher Beil, age 48, of 13109 W. 184^th Place in Mokena was arrested for disorderly conduct.

            Summary:  Employee stated that person/s unknown stole a barrel of ammunition shell casings from inside a storage container.  Video surveillance is being reviewed.   Under investigation.

            Summary:  Jonathan Esquivel, age 21, of 425 Whitney Avenue in Joliet was cited for aggravated speeding.

12/3     Location:  26000 block of W. Renwick Road                                    Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered two vehicles.  One vehicle was unlocked vehicle and nothing was missing.  The second vehicle has a window broken out in order for offender/s to enter it.  Nothing was missing from the vehicle.   Offender/s also entered two barns located on the property.  Nothing was missing.

 

12/5     Location:  W. Crossroads Parkway and Veterans Parkway               DuPage

            Summary:  Ramos A. Velasquez, age 19, of 941 W. North Avenue in Villa Park was cited for reckless driving, street racing, aggravated speeding and no valid driver’s license.  Ramos M. Garcia, age 21, of 1051 Ferrari Drive in Bensenville was cited for reckless driving, street racing and aggravated speeding.

 

12/7     Location:  9700 block of S. Carls Drive                                 Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a shed and stole four mountain bikes, four bicycle helmets, a tool kit, a child seat and a pressure pump.

 

SOUTH TOWNSHIPS

 

12/1     Location:  2918 E. Division St.                      Diamond                     Naked Sun Tanning

            Summary:  Sheriff’s deputies responded to an activated alarm around 6am.  Person/s unknown had stolen about $6 in miscellaneous change. 

 

12/3     Location:  3195 E. Division St.                      Diamond Shell

            Summary:  Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene around 10:11pm regarding an armed robbery that had just occurred.  An employee stated a male, black, in his mid 20’s, with a medical mask on, entered the store before pumping fuel into his vehicle.   The man paid cash for the gas and returned outside to pump the gas.  He then reentered the store, laid a written note and a twenty-dollar bill on the counter.  The note stated that he wanted money from the cash register, the employees’ cell phone, and ID, and he would not be harmed.  The male proceeded to show the employee that he had a firearm under his jacket.  The employee cooperated and the offender got off with the cell phone and some cash.  The offender left the $20 on the counter, exited the store, and drove off in a black, newer model Dodge Charger.  The employee was not injured in the incident.

            Summary:  Charlie Nicholson, age 29, of 2140 Lilac Lane in Aurora was cited for leaving the scene of an accident, improper lane usage, failure to report accident, failure to give aid, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

12/1     Location:  900 block of E. Goodenow Road                                      Crete

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into a construction storage container and stole three sawzalls, a generator, an electric hydraulic hole punch, a level, three drills, eleven tool batteries and a torque wrench. A Kawasaki Mule side-by-side vehicle was also stolen from the site.  It was later located about half a mile away on S. Park Avenue.  The vehicle was still running and was not damaged.

            Summary:  Travis J. Lanenga, Jr., age 23, of 21223 Gray Hawk Drive in Matteson was cited for aggravated speeding, no seat belts, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.

            Summary:  Manuel Castillo, age 36, of 14522 Shepard Drive in Dolton was cited for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

            Summary:  Daniel Gasca, age 51, 1857 Asbury Circle Drive in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and possession of suspended license.

            Summary:  Persons unknown stole a John Deere 318D Bobcat with an 8-foot plow attached.

            Summary:  Heather L. Oram, age 31, of 109 Schorie Avenue in Joliet was arrested for DUI, driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

            Summary:  Hunter Harvey, age 19, of 1800 Hillcrest Road in Joliet was cited for no valid driver’s license, no registration lights and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.  He was held on a valid Will County warrant.

            Summary:  Dillon J. Michalek, age 21, of 931 Plainfield Road in Joliet was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and no FOID card.  He was held on a active warrant.  Keon D. Wiley, Jr., age 21, of 304 Arrowhead Drive in Shorewood was cited for failure to signal.

12/7     Location:  1600 block of Fairmont Avenue

            Summary:  Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence regarding shots fired.  Upon arrival, they spoke with homeowners who stated that about 10pm, while inside their home, they heard over 30 gunshots.  Joliet Police reported getting a call for over 20 shots fired in the area a few minutes before that.  Several bullets struck the home.  No one was injured.

            Summary:  Donyal Hudson-Hilliard, age 20, of 4428 Imperial Drive in Richton Park was cited for aggravated speeding and driving while license revoked.

            Summary:  Matthew Unruh, age 28, of 321 Herndon St. in Park Forest was arrested for possession of cannabis over 100gms.

 

            Location:   Hillside Road

            Summary:  Victim stated that she found a 2006 Nissan on Facebook Marketplace and reached out to the seller to purchase it.  The seller advised that she needed $1,4000 in Ebay gift cards for the sale.  The victim purchased the gift cards, emailed photocopies of the gift cards to Ebay@motor-pay.us and received an invoice.  She later contacted Ebay and they stated that the email she was given by the seller was fraudulent and advised the victim that she was involved in a scam.

            Summary:  Victor J. Hall, age 29, of 808 W. 76^th St. in Chicago was charged with aggravated battery to a correctional officer.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out a window to a vehicle in order to gain entry.  Stolen was $28, 48 lottery tickets and a Smith and Wesson bodyguard magazine.

            Summary:  Retha Osborn, age 45, of 10 Arlington Drive in Diamond was arrested for DUI, improper lighting, improper lane usage, improper display of registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

            Summary:  Demetrio Garza, age 49, of 12 Loblolly Court in Lemont was cited for aggravated speeding.

 

11/23   Location:  12000 block of W. Oak Valley Trail

            Summary:  An unknown male and unknown female stole a 10ft. ladder from a residence after the couple asked the homeowner if the ladder was for sale.  The homeowner told the couple that it was not for sale but a short time later observed them parked down the street and loading the ladder into their vehicle.  The vehicle then sped off.

            Summary:  Jelica Kardeenas-Trajkovic, age 29, of 9733 Lorraine Drive in Countryside was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and no valid driver’s license.

 

            Location:  3204 S. State St.

            Summary:  Owner of a car dealership stated that one of his employees had arranged for the car sale of a 2002 Nissan Sentra.  On this date, three male black subjects arrived and asked to test-drive it before they bought it.  The employee allowed the men to take it for a spin but they never returned with the car. 

 

WEST TOWNSHIPS

 

11/10   Location:  10135 S. Mandel St.                      Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a $4000 water dunk tank from a storage lot.  The tank was blue with a banner that read “Party Saver Fun Time” on it.

 

11/11   Location:  S. Eola Road and W. Wolfs Crossing                   Wheatland

            Summary:  Jeanetta Merriweather, age 50, of 8307 Greenbridge Court in Joliet was cited for aggravated speeding.

 

11/12   Location:  12000 block of S. Spaulding School Drive                       Plainfield

            Summary:  Jose L. Jara, age 44, of 779 Bluestem Drive in Bolingbrook and Vicente Tapia-Hernandez, age 41, of 550 Redwood Road in Bolingbrook were both arrested for battery. 

 

            Location:  S. Rt. 59 and 103^rd St.                                           Wheatland

            Summary:  Demetrius Wright, age 48, of 7327 S. Washtenaw Avenue in Chicago was arrested for DUI, stopping on roadway, disobeying a traffic control device, and illegal transportation of alcohol.

 

FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX

 

11/14   Location:  S. Pfeiffer Road and W. Lincoln Highway                       Frankfort

            Summary:  Jennifer Hennessy, age 33, of 19746 S. Woodruff Court in Frankfort was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

11/15   Location:  9400 block of W. St. Francis Road                                   Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown forced entry into a storage shed and stole a 2008 Ford F250 and an attached trailer containing several yard maintenance power tools and a large commercial lawn mower.

 

SOUTH TOWNSHIPS

 

11/13   Location:  S. Rt. 129 and W. Stripmine Road                        Wilmington

            Summary:  Daniel E. King, age 31, of 506 W. Daisy Place in Coal City was arrested for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

11/14   Location:  S. Division and Orchard Lane                               Reed

            Summary:  Derek Thompson, age 35, of 398 Orchard Lane in Braidwood was arrested for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, unlawful possession of cannabis and illegal transportation of alcohol.

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS

 

11/14   Location:  24525 S. Western Avenue             Crete               BP Gas

            Summary:  At 11:30pm, deputies were called to the gas station regarding a 38-year-old male who had been shot. Upon arrival, deputies spoke to a female friend who had the victim sitting in her vehicle with a gunshot wound to his back.  The female stated that she received a call from the victim who said that he had been shot at another location.  The female met with him along the roadway near University Parkway and drove to the gas station where she call the police.  The victim was transported to Franciscan Health in Olympia Fields and refused to cooperate with questioning.   University Park Police relayed to deputies that at about the same time frame they were dispatched to a shots fired call and recovered a firearm and made an arrest.  Police were investigating whether the two incidents were related. 

 

11/15   Location:  24525 S. Western Avenue             Crete               BP Gas

            Summary:  Deputies were called to the scene regarding a stolen motor vehicle.  Upon arrival, they spoke with a male subject who stated that he had just finished filled up his 2013 Volkswagen Passat when he went inside to pay.  The subject had left the vehicle running with the doors unlocked.  Once inside the station he observed his vehicle being stolen by two individuals that had jumped out of another vehicle. 

 

11/16   Location:  S. Western and W. Steger             Steger

            Summary:  John F. Ross III, age 30, of 414 W. 34^th St. in Steger was cited for failure to signal and driving while license suspended.

 

HOMER GLEN

 

11/11   Location:  15000 block of S. Leach Drive

            Summary:  An unknown male white was observed on video surveillance opening the door of an unlocked vehicle and stealing a bag of hand tools.  The man was seen entering an awaiting vehicle and drove off.

 

11/12   Location:  W. Forest View Drive

            Summary:  Victim stated that he received a voicemail stating that his Social Security account had been flagged for fraud in Texas.  The victim called the number back and spoke to an individual who claimed to be from Social Security.  The victim was instructed to transfer his money via a money order to protect his assets.  The victim stayed on the phone with the man while he transferred several thousand dollars.   The man later realized he had been scammed. 

 

11/13   Location:  S. Parker Road and W. Maverick Trail

            Summary:  Anthony Tucci, age 54, of 13437 W. Maverick Trail in Homer Glen was cited for aggravated speeding.

 

11/14   Location:  15717 W. 151^st Street                    Trantina Dog Park

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke the passenger window of a vehicle in order to gain entry while the victim was with her dog at the park.   Once inside, offenders stole a purse that was sitting on the floor of the passenger side.    

 

JOLIET

 

11/11   Location:  I55 and I80

            Summary:  Rashad Lamar Graham, age 28, of 705 Virginia Avenue in Kansas City, MO was cited for illegal use of cell phone, defective windshield, driving while license suspended and obstructing identification.  He was held on an active Winnebago County warrant.

 

            Location:  Mills Road and Neal Avenue

            Summary:  Tehren Holmes, age 44, of 226 Iowa Avenue in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal crossing of railroad tracks/gates. 

 

11/12   Location:  I80 and Houbolt Road

            Summary:  Ashley Houch, age 30, of 312 Murdock in Streator was cited for failure to signal and driving while license revoked.

 

            Location:  W. Eames and W. Robert Avenue

            Summary:  Ernesto Gonzalez, age 49, of 26235 W. Overland Court in Channahon was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage.

 

            Location:  19000 block of W. Schweitzer Road

            Summary:  Two vehicles were broken into during the overnight hours.  One vehicle had been left unlocked and ear buds were stolen.  Offender/s used a paver block to break out a window of the second vehicle.  A purse was stolen from that vehicle.

 

11/13   Location:  95 W. Chicago St.                         Adult Detention Facility

            Summary:  Roger A. Thompson, age 29, of 725 N. Sleepy Hollow Lane in Romeoville was charged with aggravated battery to a correctional officer.

 

11/14   Location:  300 block of Hartford Place

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out the window of a vehicle in order to enter it and stole cash.

 

11/15   Location:  1100 block of Elgin Avenue

            Summary:  Omar Mejia, age 31, of 502 E. Meeker Avenue in Joliet was arrested for possession of stolen property, obstructing justice, and driving while license revoked.  He was held on two active warrants.

 

11/16   Location:  Plainfield Road and Mall Loop Drive

            Summary:  Tyrell J. Mitchell, age 25, of 3551 Mall Loop Drive in Joliet was cited for suspended registration, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  95 S. Chicago Street                      Adult Detention Facility

            Summary:  Terrence T. Williams, age 25, of 1107 Magnolia Avenue in Joliet was charged with criminal damage to government property.
