            Summary:  Jose Hernandez-Martinez, age 29, of 1131 W. 10^th St. in Las Vegas, NV was cited for speeding, no seat belt and driving while license suspended.

 

6/27     Location:  W. Tameling and S. Archer Avenue

            Summary:  Tatianna Malone, age 26, of 4161 Drexel Blvd. in Chicago was cited for no registration light, no driver’s license on person, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.

            Summary:  Shawn J. O’Farrell, age 64, of 17w290 Hillside Lane in Willowbrook was cited for aggravated speeding in a construction zone.

            Summary:  Samuel Westberg, age 23, of 25265 S. Colligan St. in Manhattan was arrested for possession of cannabis over 10-100 grams, unlawful possession of medical cannabis and speeding.

            Summary:  Justin Stark, age 25, of 1030 Gardner in Joliet was cited for speeding and driving while license suspended.

            Summary:  Derrick R. Cole, age 49, no address, was charged with resisting a correctional officer and battery.

            Summary:  Tyrielle Gordon, age 26, of 1449 Pioneer in Crest Hill was cited for improper taillights, no registration lights, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and driving while license suspended.

            Summary:  Oscar Hernandez, age 41, of 412 Garnsey Avenue in Joliet was cited for no front registration plate, defective windshield, failure to signal turn, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license revoked.

            Summary:  Ramiro Iturralde, age 44, of 7522 W. 62^nd St. in Summit was cited for driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, obstructing justice and illegal transportation of alcohol.

            Summary:  Craig Smith, age 32, of 27821 S. Kedzie in Monee was charged with battery.

            Summary:  William S. Lindsey, age 39, of 510 Eastern in Joliet was cited for failure to signal, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license revoked.

 

            Location:  400 block of Hillside Road

            Summary:  Manuel Del Toro, age 21, of 510 E. Jackson in Joliet was arrested for DUI and no valid registration.

 

            Location:  200 block of Luana

            Summary:  Around 12:45am, shots were fired into a residence with two people inside.  A 24 year old male was struck in the abdomen from a bullet that went through the front door.  The man was taken to St. Joseph Hospital by East Joliet Fire where he was in serious but stable condition.   Current medical condition unknown. 

 

6/26     Location:  N. Larkin and Ingalls

            Summary:  Arturo H. Ceballos, age 29, of 242 E. Cass in Joliet was cited for driving while license revoked, and possession of cannabis 10 grams.  He was held on an active Will County warrant.

 

            Location:  W. Jefferson and N. Larkin

            Summary:  Salvador Q. Evans, age 25, of 152 Parks Avenue in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper use of registration.

 

            Location:  I80 and S. Center St.

            Summary:  Misty Williams, age 40, of 398 E. Dewey Avenue in Melrose Park was cited for driving while license suspended, suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  Essington and Westgate

            Summary:  Michael J. Hudson, age 33, of 730 Green Garden Place in Lockport was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, felony possession of a firearm, No FOID card, possession of a stolen firearm, improper turn at intersection and obstructed driver’s view.

 

            Location:  Home St. and Pawnee

            Summary:  Marquise Smith, age 46, of 1328 Chippewa St. in Joliet was cited for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, expired registration, improper use of registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while license revoked and DUI.  Smith was also charged with the following felonies:  aggravated driving while license revoked and three counts of aggravated DUI.

 

            Location:  Peale and Mabel

            Summary:  Heather Oram, age 30, of 109 Schorie in Joliet was arrested for driving on wrong side of road, failure to use turn signal, failure to display license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and DUI/drugs.

 

6/28     Location:  100 block of Jessie

            Summary:  Around 1pm, a man driving a 2000 Dodge Neon drove down the street and was shouting out the window.  The man then extended his arm out the window and shot a firearm three times into the air.  No one was injured.

 

WEST TOWNSHIPS

 

6/24     Location:  N. Independence Blvd and W. Normantown Road

            Summary:  Leroy Willis, age 56, of 406 Cherry in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

6/28     Location:  11000 block of S. Cindy Drive

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a garage door opener.  A neighbor caught video of the incident and stated that four subjects were observed in a white sedan pulling on door handles of vehicles in the neighborhood.

 

HOMER GLEN

 

6/27     Location:  W. 143^rd St. and S. Mallard Drive

            Summary:  Jildardo Mancines, age 39, of 1801 S. Laflin St. in Chicago was cited for driving while license revoked.

 

            Location:  12147 W. 159^th St.                                     Eddy’s Tobacco

            Summary:  Around 5am the alarm was activated at the business.  Deputies observed a window that had been broken with a landscaping rock.   Offender/s entered the building through the window and stole USC from the register.

 

6/28     Location:  W. 159^th St. and S. Bell Road

            Summary:  Kelly A. Mrozek, age 52, of 11037 Karen in Orland Park was arrested for DUI, failure to signal, disobeying a traffic control device and illegal transportation of alcohol.

 

            Location:  W. 151^st and S. Bell Road

            Summary:  Lukasz Glod, age 34, of 15303 S. Oak Run Court in Lockport was arrested for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, disobeying a stop sign, driving on wrong side of road, improper lane usage, driving while license revoked, failure to report accident by driver, failure to leave information, leaving the scene of an accident, operating vehicle in unsafe condition, reckless driving, and DUI.

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS

 

6/24     Location:  24000 block of S. Volbrecht Road                        Crete

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2015 GMC Terrain from the driveway of a residence.  The vehicle was unlocked with the keys inside at time of theft.

 

6/27     Location:  24525 S. Western Avenue             BP Crete        

            Summary:  Adrian Richardson, age 38, of 1120 Abbott Lane in University Park was arrested for criminal damage to property after he began arguing with the BP employee and was refused service, he then knocked over the multiple bags of potato chips and stomped on them before leaving the store. 

 

6/29     Location:  S. Western and W. Norfolk

            Summary:  Christopher Lockhart-Jenkins, age 22, of 91 Devonshire Drive in Crete was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, suspended registration, driving while license suspended, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving without headlights and disobeying a stop sign.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a purse from a front yard.  The owner had put the purse on the ground while she moved some chairs into the garage.

            Summary:  Major L. Smith, age 22, of 1824 W. Marquette Road in Chicago was cited for speeding, failure to wear seat belt, failure to secure new registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper use of registration.

            Summary:  Geavontae Brown, age 19, of 3137 Butler Avenue in Steger was cited with improper lane usage and reckless driving.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked truck and stole a knife, a wireless charger, two wallets, $50 and a driver’s license.

            Summary:  Juan Leon, age 18, of 515 Scribner St. in Joliet was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of stolen firearm and no FOID card.

 

6/18     Location:  W. Jefferson and N. Center

            Summary:  Rebecka Epting, age 23, of 193 Carriage Lane in Joliet was cited for improper display of registration, obstructed windows, no driver’s license on person and driving while license revoked.

 

            Location:  E. Jackson and Collins

            Summary:  Robert Garner, age 31, of 103 Wesleyan in Lockport was cited for improper lighting, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  300 block of S. Briggs

            Summary:  Daniel S. Carreon, age 35, no address, was arrested for aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting arrest, and criminal trespass to property.

 

6/19     Location:  1300 block of Pico Court

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2018 Hyundai Sonata.

 

            Location:  Plainfield and N. Prairie

            Summary:  Jaidyn Lane, age 19, of 7817 Briarcliff Drive in Plainfield was cited for no valid driver’s license and illegal use of cell phone.

 

            Location:  1400 block of Loretta Avenue

            Summary:  Daemontae Pruitte, age 26, of 224 Oscar Avenue in Joliet was cited for resisting/obstructing police.  He was held on a Joliet Police warrant and an IDOC parole violation.

 

            Location:  W. Jefferson and N. Cagwin

            Summary:  Deshondra Knox, age 34, 1019 Lois Place in Joliet was cited for no registration light, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no valid driver’s license.

 

6/20     Location:  Richards and First Avenue

            Summary:  Ignacio Valencia-Gonzalez, age 47, of 33 Wilson Avenue in Joliet was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  1400 block of Sehring

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2016 Jeep Cherokee from the driveway of a residence.  The keys were inside at the time of theft.  Joliet Police later reported that they had attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle and a male/black fled the vehicle. 

 

6/21     Location:  E. Washington and S. Briggs

            Summary:  Maylee Jimenez, age 50, of 1823 E. Cass St. in Joliet was cited for obstructing justice and driving while license suspended.

 

WEST TOWNSHIPS

 

6/17     Location:  14000 block of S. Naperville Road                       Plainfield

            Summary:  An elderly woman stated that a white pickup truck with a ladder on top pulled into her driveway.  The driver came to her door and stated that he had to check to see if her water was working properly.  The woman allowed the man inside and he then asked her to show him the water spiket outside, which she did.  The woman later discovered that she was robbed of cash and a safety deposit box key.

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS

 

6/20     Location:  S. Rt. 394 and E. Burville Road                Crete

            Summary:  Arthur B. Tylak, age 57, of 5621 S. Mayfield Avenue in Chicago was arrested for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while license revoked and DUI/drugs.  Tylak was also charged with aggravated driving while license revoked, two counts of aggravated DUI/drugs, and possession of a controlled substance.

 

6/22     Location:  S. Rt. 394 and E. Richton Road                Crete

            Summary:  Ernesto Sanchez, Jr., age 42, of 562 W. Stanton Lane in Crete was arrested for aggravated speeding.

 

HOMER GLEN

 

6/16     Location:  14000 block of S. Cricketwood Drive

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered two unlocked vehicles.  Stolen from one vehicle was a Sig Sauer P938 9mm handgun and stolen from the second vehicle was a Springfield XDS.45 ACP with two magazines with ammunition.  A wallet was also stolen.

 

            Location:  13000 block of W. Filly Drive

            Summary: Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet containing credit cards and driver’s license.

 

            Location:  12000 block of W. Shellbark Drive

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun.

 

 

6/17     Location:  12000 block of W. Beaver Den Trail

            Summary:  Around 12:30am, a male/black subject with dreadlocks, wearing a white t-shirt and black pants was observed inside a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a residence.  The subject stole $600 and credit cards and took off in a black sedan type vehicle was parked in the roadway driven by a second subject.

 

6/18     Location:  17000 block of S. Pineview Drive

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet containing credit cards and a driver’s license.

 

            Location:  S. Suffolk Court and W. Yorkshire Court

            Summary:  Brandon Oakes, age 35, of 14948 S. Suffolk Court in Homer Glen was arrested for reckless driving and DUI/drugs.

 

6/19     Location:  W. 143^rd and S. Pheasant Lane

            Summary:  Michael J. Rowlett, age 36, of 201 N. Tyler Road in St. Charles was cited for disobeying a stop sign and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  W. 159^th St. and S. Hidden Valley Trail

            Summary:  Cody S. Duggins, age 19, of 16060 S. Parker Road in Homer Glen was cited for aggravated speeding.

 

6/20     Location:  S. Bell Road and W. Martingale Lane

            Summary:  Jordan James Eaton, age 32, of 2500 S. State St. in Lockport was cited for aggravated speeding.

6/19     Location:  Roberts St. and Bass St.                            Wilmington

            Summary:  Susan Bowen, age 56, of 215 Wood St. in Wilmington was cited for failure to notify SOS of address change, no valid driver’s license and speeding.

 

6/20     Location:  S. Malibu Drive and W. Delaney Rd.                   Manhattan

            Summary:  Jake M. Brockett, age 22, of 15727 W. Menominee Court in Manhattan was arrested for aggravated battery, mob action and criminal damage to property.

 

6/21     Location:  N. Main and Canal                        Wilmington

            Summary:  Erasmo C. Ramirez, age 38, of 201 Ottawa Bend Drive in Morris was cited for driving while license revoked.

6/21     Location:  3357 S. State St.                            Bickus Plumbing

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into three vehicles and stole numerous power tools.

SOUTH TOWNSHIPS

 

6/10     Location:  Front Street and Main St.                          Braidwood

            Summary:  Alexander Ziomeck, age 23, of 145 W. First St. in Braidwood was cited for unlawful possession of medical cannabis and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

6/12     Location:  17000 block of W. Manhattan Road                                 Jackson

            Summary:  Victim stated that he posted his 2009 Kawasaki KX450-E motocross motorcycle on Facebook market place for sale.  He was contacted by an individual who stated they were interested in purchasing it.  The unknown male/black, around 25-30 years old, 6’0” and 180lbs, arrived in a 2005/2006 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.  The subject inspected the bike and then asked if he could test drive it.  As the male drove the bike down the driveway, a second occupant sat up in the truck and drove the truck to the end of the driveway where both subjects loaded the motorcycle and took off at a high rate of speed. 

   The victim followed the subjects going in excess of 100mph but the victim was unable to stop the subjects and lost them at I-80 and Chicago Street.   The offending vehicle did not have any license plates. 

 

6/13     Location:  33061 S. Rt. 53                              Wilmington                 New Lenox Sportsmen’s Club

            Summary:  Allen M. Elmore, age 24, of 692 Meadow Wood Lane in Wilmington was arrested for DUI and criminal trespass to property. 

 

            Location:  13000 block of W. Carriage Lane                         Manhattan

            Summary:  Louis P. Bertolini, age 38, of 13853 W. Carriage Lane in Manhattan was arrested for battery and criminal trespass to property.

 

LOCKPORT

 

6/9       Location:  200 block of Fairmont Avenue and 200 block of Dellwood

            Summary:  Persons unknown discharged firearms several times in these areas.  One vehicle was damaged on Fairmont Avenue and a residence received four bullet holes that went into the home.  No one was injured.  Under investigation.

 

6/13     Location:  17000 block of W. 145^th St.         

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a detached garage thru the service door and stole a Sig Sauer P938 and ammunition from an unlocked vehicle that was parked inside.  Offender/s also stole a chainsaw, two weed whackers and a five-gallon gas container from the garage.

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS

 

6/9       Location:  700 block of E. County Line                                 Crete

            Summary:  James J. Jachim, age 54, of 18202 Hadders Road in Lowell,  IN was arrested for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while license suspended and DUI.

 

6/12     Location:  S. Drecksler Road and W. County Line                Peotone

            Summary:  Carme M. DeFrank, age 69, of 11664 N. 5000 E. Road in Manteno was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper turn at intersection.

 

6/13     Location:  1700 block of W. New Monee Road                    Crete

            Summary:  James Wilder, age 49, of 26037 S. Winston Lane in Crete was arrested for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, DUI, failure to carry ID, driving while license revoked.  Further DUI felony charges are expected.

 

NEW LENOX AND FRANKFORT

 

6/12     Location:  13000 block of W. Illinois Highway                                 New Lenox

            Summary:  Devon L. Ward, age 27, of 35 Apple Court in Park Forest was arrested for aggravated battery.

 

6/13     Location:  20000 block of S. Pine Hill Road                         Frankfort

            Summary:  Robert L. Simpson, age 51, of 20211 S. Rosewood Drive in Frankfort was arrested for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and DUI.

 

WEST TOWNSHIPS

 

6/14     Location:  21000 block of W. Edison Lane                Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a vehicle and stole a wallet containing identification, credit cards, and a FOID card.

 

6/15     Location:  S. Frontage Road and W. Renwick Road             Plainfield

            Summary:  Clayton M. Westhoff, age 31, of 2414 Westline Drive in Joliet was arrested for battery after an 18 year old male subject passed Westhoff’s van in a passing zone and Westhoff attempted to run him off the road.  Both vehicles came to a stop at the stoplight on Frontage and Renwick.  Westhoff exited his vehicle, approached the 18 year old and punched him in the face.   The victim’s passenger was able to take a photo of Westhoff’s license plate and Sheriff’s deputies took Westhoff into custody at his home. 

 

            Location:  S. Rt. 59 and W. 135^th St.

            Summary:  Lee Kameron, age 20, of 12328 Province Drive in Lemont was cited for driving while license suspended, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

JOLIET

 

6/9       Location:  100 block of Coghill Street

            Summary:  An elderly man reported that on 6/8/20 about 12pm, two male Hispanics approached him while he was in his front yard.  The subjects offered to do work on his driveway and they agreed on a $7,000 price.  The two subjects began working on the driveway when one of them asked for some hot water that he needed for the job.  The elderly man allowed the subject into his home and at that time also asked for payment of services.  The elderly man left the residence to go to the bank.  When he returned the subjects were gone and he had been burglarized.  Cash and safety deposit box keys were stolen.

 

HOMER GLEN

 

6/13     Location:  14200 S. Bell Road                       Jewel Food

            Summary:  An unknown male/black subject entered the store on 6/11/20 around 11pm and walked to the storage room carrying a bag.  The subject later exited the back room pushing a cart full of six cases of Patron tequila with twelve bottles in each case.  An employee witnessed the subject and notified other employees.  The subject then exited and dropped two of the six cases before loading the remaining cases into a white Dodge Charger with a temporary license plate.  It was discovered that the subject had used a cutting tool to cut the lock off the cabinet storage case.   Several other police departments have reported similar incidents in recent weeks.

 

            Location:  13463 W. 159^th Street                   B and E Cartage

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a trailer from a semi-truck that was parked in a parking lot.  The truck cab had been ransacked and the offender had attempted to hotwire it.  It appears the offender used his own semi-truck in order to steal the trailer.  Under investigation.

 

            Location:  S. Gougar and W. 159^th St.

            Summary:  Arturas Davydaitis, age 50, of 14 S. Ashland Avenue in LaGrange was cited for driving while license revoked and speeding.

 

            Location:  13000 block of W. Choctaw Trail

            Summary:  Erol Dzaferoski, age 22, of 13726 Lincolnshire Drive in Orland Park was arrested for battery.

 

            Location:  16000 block of S. Peppermill Trail

            Summary:  An elderly man reported that a male/white subject wearing a neon construction shirt knocked on his front door and stated that he was a Public Works Water man and needed to check his water and kitchen sink.  The victim allowed the man inside who went to the kitchen sink and looked around.  The man then left.  Later it was discovered that the victim’s garage door had been opened, most likely allowing a second person inside.  Cash was stolen from the victim’s bedroom.

 

6/15     Location:  13463 W. 159^th St.                         B and E Cartage

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2012 Volvo VNL truck from the parking lot.  Under investigation.

 

            Location:  12000 block of W. 159^th St.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2004 Ford F450, a 2020 Felling trailer and a S650 Bobcat from a concrete company.      Under investigation. 

 

            Location:  12000 block of W. Thorn Apple Drive

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2015 Mercedes Benz from a residence.  The vehicle was later recovered by Chicago Police.

6/4       Location:  15000 block of S. Weber Road

            Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 2008 Honda Accord from an auto repair shop. 

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS.

 

6/2       Location:   2100 block of E. Exchange                                  Crete

            Summary:  An elderly man stated that at about 12:30pm, while sitting outside on his driveway, a newer model charcoal colored pickup truck pulled into his driveway.  Two white male subjects were inside the truck.  The driver exited the vehicle.  He was described as being between 50 and 60 years old, wearing shorts and a tee shirt with a bandanna on his face.  The man stated that he needed to know how far back the man’s property went because he worked for Will County.  As the subject and the homeowner were in the backyard the subject asked questions such as, how long he has lived on the property, who lives with him, and if he had family that came to visit often.  The subject was also on his cell phone the entire time and the man became suspicious.  The subject left and the homeowner realized later that cash had been stolen from inside his residence.

 

6/6       Location:  24244 S. Deer Run Trail                            Crete

            Summary:  Steven Reckner, age 56, of this address was arrested for aggravated assault and domestic battery.

 

6/8       Location:  E. New Monee Road and S. State Street               Crete

            Summary:  John Van Kalker, age 84, of Crete lost his life after his single prop plane experienced trouble shortly after it took off from Bult Field, 28261 S. Kedzie Avenue in Monee.  Beecher Fire personnel assisted with medical emergency treatment but Van Kalker succumbed to his injuries at the scene.  The FAA and NTSB are conducting the investigation.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out a vehicle window in order to gain entry.  Offenders stole a driver’s license and $10.

            Summary:  Damonte R. Burnett, age 25, of 601 Pasadena in Crest Hill was charged with aggravated assault.

            Summary:  Sheriff’s deputies, along with East Joliet Fire, responded to a vehicle on fire.  Upon arrival the vehicle was completely engulfed in fire.  The 2008 vehicle had been reported stolen from a residence who lives on Winding Creek Road in Plainfield.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown shot four bullets near a residence causing four bullet holes in a vehicle.  No one was injured.    Under investigation.

            Summary:  Andres Valencia, age 22, of 413 Linden Avenue in Joliet was arrested for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of open alcohol, DUI, DUI/drugs and ten felony charges of aggravated DUI  DUI/drugs.

            Summary:  Samuel Boni Garcia, Jr., age 35, of 207 N. Farrell Road in Lockport was arrested for aggravated driving while license revoked, failure to signal while turning, and obstructing a peace officer.

 

            Location:  25358 W. Seil Road                      Troy Township Highway

            Summary:  Person/s unknown cut the metal poles that held road signs in three different locations.  A speed limit sign was cut in the area of County Line Road and Wildey Road; a railroad crossing sign was stolen near Shepley and River Road and a stop sign was stolen from Ingolsby and Mound.

            Summary:  Two 20-year-old subjects were given violation tickets for trespassing on property owned by NRG Energy.  Several individuals have been caught in recent weeks for trespassing onto the property in order to swim in the quarry.  No trespassing signs are posted and a fence surrounds the property.

 

            Location:  Golfview and Caton Farm Road

            Summary:  Jesus Vega Ortiz, age 24, of 676 Collins St. in Joliet was cited for no valid driver’s license, speeding, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

            Summary:  Travis W. Thomas, age 29, of 798 Colorado in Marseilles was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

6/8       Location:  S. Lakewood Path

            Summary:  Elderly victim stated that he was a veteran and received an email from two unknown veterans who had just received 84kg of gold from an overseas Sultan for saving the Sultan’s son. (No further details) One veteran stated that he was a 2-star General and was verifying the other veteran’s story.  The unknown veterans stated that they could not afford to store the gold prior to their return to the United States and asked the victim to help them pay the $12,000 to store it.  When the victim went to his bank, he was informed by bank employees that this was a scam.

            Summary:  An elderly man stated that an unknown male/white knocked on his door around 11am and stated that he needed to see the property line in the man’s backyard because he would be removing trees for ComEd.  The unknown man was described as being 5’7”, about 190-200lbs and driving a black pickup truck.  The homeowner led the man to the backyard and spoke with him for about 20 minutes.  The homeowner later discovered that cash had been stolen from a bedroom and believes the man was distracting him so he could be robbed.

            Summary:  Carl Goodwin, age 40, of 20153 W. Goodwin Road in Wilmington was arrested for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper use of registration.

            Summary:  Andrew Barton, age 25, of 612 S. Outer Drive of Wilmington was arrested for criminal damage to government property, criminal damage to property, assault, two counts of battery and two counts of disorderly conduct.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2006 Liberty trailer from a property it was being stored on.

            Summary:  Four unknown male/black subjects, driving a dark grey or black BMW used a crow bar to break out the front door of the business.  The subjects entered the store with black garbage bags and stole 90 cartons of Newport cigarettes and USC from the register.  Under investigation.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out the front window of the business with a large piece of concrete.  No entry was made.

            Summary:  Francisco Vazquez Dominguez, age 28, of 1016 Parkwood in Joliet was cited for speeding and no valid driver’s license.

 

            Location:  24218 W. Frances Court

            Summary:  Antonio L. Payton, age 24, of this address was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  N. Center and Charlotte Avenue

            Summary:  Christine Angio, age 37, of 1126 Valter Drive in Carmi, IL was cited for improper lane usage, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  Loretta and Patterson                    NRG Energy

            Summary:  Deputies were called to a trespassing complaint.  Deputies spoke with a security guard from NRG Energy who stated that 8 subjects had entered a fenced in area and swam in the quarry on the property.  Several No Trespassing signs are posted on the property and an opening had been made in the fencing.  All eight subjects were on scene and fully cooperated with deputies.  After speaking with the property safety specialist via phone, charges were filed.  Four subjects, ages 18-20, from Kankakee and Bourbonnais were charged with criminal trespass to property.  Four juvenile subjects are pending charges.

 

5/28     Location:  N. Hunter and W. Washington

            Summary:  Latasha Adkins, age 36, of 205 S. Ottawa St. in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  Plainfield and Essington

            Summary:  Johnnie R. Jones, Jr., age 26, of 1223 E. Cass in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

                       

            Location:  Walden and Moore

            Summary:  While responding to an unrelated call, deputies observed an unoccupied abandoned vehicle.  Upon checking out the vehicle it was determined that it had been reported stolen out of Chicago Police jurisdiction.

            Summary: Joseph Imbo, age 26, of 518 Gardner in Joliet was arrested for improper passing, illegal screeching tires and reckless driving.

            Summary:  Julio A. Mireles, age 27, of 1113 Charlesworth Avenue in Joliet was cited for aggravated speeding, and no valid driver’s license.  Elvis Torres Martinez, age 24, of 2916 N. Wisner Avenue in Chicago was cited for aggravated speeding.

 

            Location:  McDonough Street

            Summary:  Cleavon T. Bailey, age 42, of 123 4^th Avenue in Joliet was arrested for possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.  Kaprison Holmes, age 34, of 621 W. Marion in Joliet was arrested for resisting a peace officer. 

 

5/30     Location:  100 E. Laraway Road

            Summary:  Misty Marie Campbell, age 29, of this address, was arrested for criminal damage to property.

 

            Location:  Brandon Road and Patterson Road

            Summary:  Deputies were called to NRG Energy for a trespassing complaint.  Deputies spoke with a security guard who stated that seven individuals were coming out of a hole in the fence from the quarry where they had been swimming.  Several No Trespassing signs are posted throughout the area.  All seven subjects cooperated with deputies.  Three subjects, one 19 and two 18 year olds were cited for criminal trespass to property and two 17 year olds and two 16 year olds were released from the scene by their parents.

 

5/31     Location:  1822 E. Washington St.                 Ingalls Park Food and Liquor

            Summary:  At 11:25pm, several unknown males smashed out the front door window in order to gain entry into the business.  The subjects then stole several large and single serving bottles of Hennessey.

            Summary:  Brandon T. Agnew, age 34, of 1519 2^nd Avenue in Joliet was arrested for battery.

 

6/1       Location:  900 block of Fernwood Avenue

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2002 gray Dodge 1500 pickup with a landscape trailer attached.  The trailer contained two stand-up tractors and an extension ladder.  The truck was owned by Lopez Landscaping.
