LOCKPORT
12/21 Location: 1300 block of Highland Avenue
Summary: An unknown male/white with gloves and a mask was observed fleeing from a vehicle that was parked in a driveway. The offender stole a purse containing USC, make-up, and credit cards. He was seen leaving the area in a blue BMW with tinted windows. Lockport police notified that a vehicle had been stolen in their jurisdiction with a matching description.
12/23 Location: I355 and W. 159th St.
Summary: Quinn Doriety, age 33, of 406 Todd St. in Park Forest was cited for aggravated speeding.
JOLIET
12/21 Location: Garnsey and E. Cass
Summary: Hermelindo Rodriguez, age 40, of 331 E. Benton in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, expired registration sticker and obstructed windshield.
12/24 Location: E. Cass and N. Eastern
Summary: Deshaun King, age 36, of 340 N. Stadium Drive in Bourbonnais was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, driving while license suspended and expired registration.
12/25 Location: 400 block of Oscar Avenue
Summary: John M. Pierce, age 27, of 2362 White Birch Lane in Joliet was arrested for DUI and DUI/drugs.
12/26 Location: 95 S. Chicago St. Adult Detention Facility
Summary: Keith Gaines, age 27, of 13658 S. Jonesport Circle in Plainfield was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer.
FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX
12/22 Location: 7600 block of W. Inverary Drive Frankfort
Summary: Persons/s unknown stole a 2017 Nissan Rouge from the driveway of residence. The vehicle owner had left the vehicle unlocked with the key fob inside.
12/23 Location: 20000 block of S. 80th Avenue Frankfort
Summary: Victim stated that after returning home she observed an Amazon package on her front porch. The package was expected to have a set of Apple Airpod headphones inside that the victim had ordered but the package was opened and empty.
Video surveillance was reviewed. Victim observed a male/black subject with dreadlocks wearing a stocking cap and an Amazon shirt delivering the package at 5:30pm. The subject then picks the package back up and walks back to his vehicle. Shortly after the same subject returns the Amazon package to the porch and leaves. It was unclear on the footage a detailed description of the vehicle.
EAST TOWNSHIPS
12/22 Location: 23000 block of S. Jonathan Lane Crete
Summary: Victim stated that a male/black, wearing red shorts and a white shirt, approximately 50 years of age, was observed ripping the gate open to the entrance to his driveway. The subject was illegally inside the gate with his light green, 2010 Ford Escort/Focus. The gate had been opened for residents of the homes to enter and was closed while the subject was unknowingly inside. The subject was able to drive away through the damaged half of the driveway gate.
12/23 Location: 24000 block of S. Home Avenue Monee
Summary: Kelly G. Rowan, age 47, of 24028 E. Home Avenue in Monee was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and was held on an active Batavia Police warrant.
12/24 Location: 23000 block of S. Kings Road Monee
Summary: Person/s unknown damaged a Cadillac by using unknown objects to scratch and dent the vehicle.
HOMER GLEN
12/21 Location: 14000 block of S. Sea Biscuit Court
Summary: Person/s unknown slashed two tires of a Chevy Tahoe that was legally parked on the street.
Location: 16000 block of S. Windsor Court
Summary: Deputies were dispatched to a residence around 11:45am regarding a suspicious male walking around a residence and making entry into a vehicle. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle. The subject was observed arriving in a newer model BMW SUV. While deputies were on scene they were advised that another call had come in from Lockport stating that two unknown male blacks, in a similar described vehicle, were stealing packages and going through vehicles. (See Lockport/1300 block of Highland Avenue above) The vehicle license plate was obtained and had been reported stolen.
12/23 Location: 12000 block of W. 159th St.
Summary: James Mazzocco, age 60, of 17144 Drexel Avenue in South Holland was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and was held on an active Lansing Police warrant.
12/26 Location: 14012 W. 159th St.
Summary: Sometime within the past two weeks, person/s unknown cut the catalytic converter from a company work truck.
SOUTH TOWNSHIPS
12/22 Location: N. Center and W. Coal City Road Reed
Summary: Brandi J. Starr, age 36, of 1466 N. Center St. in Braidwood was cited for speeding and driving while license suspended.
12/24 Location: S. Rt. 53 and W. Noel Road Jackson
Summary: Jose Polito-Toto, age 28, of 600 Herkimer Road in Joliet was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage, speeding, and illegal transportation of alcohol.
12/27 Location: 23210 W. Stripmine Road Dockside Marine Wilmington
Summary: Victim stated that upon arriving at the business he observed the overhead door to the storage building half open and discovered one UTV and two four wheelers were stolen. Upon reviewing video footage, it was discovered that on 12/25 around 2:40am, two white/males jumped over the front gate and stole the UTV. On 12/27, around 3am the same two white male subjects returned to the business and stole the two Can-Am four wheelers.
