12/28   Location:  2397 Von Esch Road                                Plainfield

            Summary:  Owner of A&A Tech Transmission reported that a 2005 Volvo SUV was stolen from the business lot.  The vehicle belonged to a customer.

 

12/30   Location:  14000 block of S. Oakdale Circle             Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2013 Chevy Equinox that was parked legally on the street in front of a residence.  The keys were not inside the vehicle at time of theft.  Chicago Police reported that the vehicle was recovered later that evening near 36^th Place in Chicago.

 

12/31   Location:  17000 block of S. Frontage Road             Plainfield

            Summary:  Robert C. Taylor, age 56, of 2520 Oak Tree Lane in Plainfield was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol by driver, and resisting a peace officer.

 

            Location:  29w242 Mark Drive                                  Wheatland

            Summary:  Edward C. Samaan, age 28 of this address was arrested for aggravated battery of a peace officer, aggravated battery and domestic battery.

 

LOCKPORT

 

12/30   Location:  Green Garden Place and Riley Avenue                

            Summary:  Brian K. Campbell, age 56, of 213 Riley was cited for speeding and driving while license suspended.  He was also held on an active Will County warrant.

 

            Location:  Lawrence and Connor

            Summary:  Robert J. Wilda, age 51, of 218 Daggett Avenue in Lockport was cited for improper display of registration and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  S. Briggs and Parkview Lane

            Summary:  Vanessa Zafra, age 27, of 337 N. Center Street in Joliet was cited for obstructed windows and driving while license suspended.

 

FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX

 

12/28   Location:  18000 block of S. Pineprairie Drive                                  Frankfort

            Summary:  At 5:45am, deputies responded to a burglary to motor vehicles in progress.  Upon arrival, deputies observed a gray Hyundai parked in the roadway, engine running, and unoccupied.  Deputies spoke to the caller who stated that while reviewing his camera footage he observed, about 4:12am, the Hyundai park on the road with a dark colored pickup truck pulling up next to it.  Five subjects were then seen exiting both vehicles and begin walking up to vehicles and opening the doors.  Two vehicles in the caller’s driveway were unlocked and the offender/s entered them.  Nothing was missing from either vehicle.  While doing a check on the Hyundai, deputies were notified that the vehicle license plate number had been reported stolen out of Evanston.  The vehicles VIN number showed the vehicle being reported stolen out of Romeoville.

 

12/28   Location:  18000 block of S. Pineprairie Drive                                  Frankfort

            Summary:  Victim stated that around 5:45am he woke up to see Sheriff’s deputies parked across the street at his neighbors. (See above report)  He then realized that his 2018 Ford Raptor had been stolen from his driveway.  Victim stated that he had left his truck unlocked with the keys inside.  The victim used his GPS vehicle location system and it indicated that the vehicle was parked on the 5000 block of S. Loomis in Chicago.  Chicago Police recovered the vehicle with no damage.

 

1/3       Location:  7717 W. St. Francis Road                         Frankfort                     Villa Rosa

            Summary:  Owner stated that person/s unknown broke windows of the business in order to gain entry.   Stolen was $100, a Facebook portal, Samsung tablet, receipt printer and five bags of frozen chicken.

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS

 

12/28   Location:  Meadowlark Lane                          Washington

            Summary:  Marvin T. Rankins, age 35, of 1951 E. 73^rd Place in Chicago was arrested for aggravated assault, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest and obstructing justice.

 

            Location:  1000 block of E. Eagle Lake Road                       Washington

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a firearm.

12/30   Location:  Channahon Road and Terry Drive           

            Summary:  Javier Gonzalez, age 34, of 409 Ruby Street in Joliet as cited for disobeying a traffic control device and driving while license suspended.

 

12/31   Location:  N. Larkin and Theodore                           

            Summary:  Ernest J. Grant, age 22, of 5 Manor Court in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, expired registration, illegal transportation of alcohol by driver and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.  He was held on an active Joliet warrant.

 

            Location:  Collins and Herkimer

            Summary:  Ardrenna C. Dean, age 42, of 217 Schorie Avenue in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, expired registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  Collins and Cleveland

            Summary:  Leanicole Slayden, age 30, of 4460 186^th St. in Country Club Hills was cited for unauthorized registration sticker, improper use of registration and driving with expired license plates.

            Summary:  Ruben Lopez, age 51, of 305 Algonquin in Joliet was arrested for battery.

12/21   Location:  1300 block of Highland Avenue

            Summary:  An unknown male/white with gloves and a mask was observed fleeing from a vehicle that was parked in a driveway.  The offender stole a purse containing USC, make-up, and credit cards.  He was seen leaving the area in a blue BMW with tinted windows.  Lockport police notified that a vehicle had been stolen in their jurisdiction with a matching description.

 

12/23   Location:  I355 and W. 159^th St.

            Summary:  Quinn Doriety, age 33, of 406 Todd St. in Park Forest was cited for aggravated speeding.

12/21   Location:  Garnsey and E. Cass

            Summary:  Hermelindo Rodriguez, age 40, of 331 E. Benton in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, expired registration sticker and obstructed windshield.

            Summary:  Deshaun King, age 36, of 340 N. Stadium Drive in Bourbonnais was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, driving while license suspended and expired registration.

            Summary:  John M. Pierce, age 27, of 2362 White Birch Lane in Joliet was arrested for DUI and DUI/drugs.

 

12/26   Location:  95 S. Chicago St.                           Adult Detention Facility

            Summary:  Keith Gaines, age 27, of 13658 S. Jonesport Circle in Plainfield was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer.

 

FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX

 

12/22   Location:  7600 block of W. Inverary Drive                          Frankfort

            Summary:  Persons/s unknown stole a 2017 Nissan Rouge from the driveway of residence.  The vehicle owner had left the vehicle unlocked with the key fob inside.

 

12/23   Location:  20000 block of S. 80^th Avenue                              Frankfort

            Summary:  Victim stated that after returning home she observed an Amazon package on her front porch.  The package was expected to have a set of Apple Airpod headphones inside that the victim had ordered but the package was opened and empty.

  Video surveillance was reviewed.  Victim observed a male/black subject with dreadlocks wearing a stocking cap and an Amazon shirt delivering the package at 5:30pm.  The subject then picks the package back up and walks back to his vehicle.  Shortly after the same subject returns the Amazon package to the porch and leaves.  It was unclear on the footage a detailed description of the vehicle.

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS

 

12/22   Location:  23000 block of S. Jonathan Lane                                      Crete

            Summary:  Victim stated that a male/black, wearing red shorts and a white shirt, approximately 50 years of age, was observed ripping the gate open to the entrance to his driveway.  The subject was illegally inside the gate with his light green, 2010 Ford Escort/Focus.  The gate had been opened for residents of the homes to enter and was closed while the subject was unknowingly inside.  The subject was able to drive away through the damaged half of the driveway gate.

 

12/23   Location:  24000 block of S. Home Avenue                                      Monee

            Summary:  Kelly G. Rowan, age 47, of 24028 E. Home Avenue in Monee was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and was held on an active Batavia Police warrant.

 

12/24   Location:  23000 block of S. Kings Road                                          Monee

            Summary:  Person/s unknown damaged a Cadillac by using unknown objects to scratch and dent the vehicle.

 

HOMER GLEN

 

12/21   Location:  14000 block of S. Sea Biscuit Court

            Summary:  Person/s unknown slashed two tires of a Chevy Tahoe that was legally parked on the street.

 

            Location:  16000 block of S. Windsor Court

            Summary:  Deputies were dispatched to a residence around 11:45am regarding a suspicious male walking around a residence and making entry into a vehicle.  Nothing was stolen from the vehicle.  The subject was observed arriving in a newer model BMW SUV.   While deputies were on scene they were advised that another call had come in from Lockport stating that two unknown male blacks, in a similar described vehicle, were stealing packages and going through vehicles. (See Lockport/1300 block of Highland Avenue above)    The vehicle license plate was obtained and had been reported stolen.

 

12/23   Location:  12000 block of W. 159^th St.

            Summary:  James Mazzocco, age 60, of 17144 Drexel Avenue in South Holland was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and was held on an active Lansing Police warrant.

 

12/26   Location:  14012 W. 159^th St.

            Summary:  Sometime within the past two weeks, person/s unknown cut the catalytic converter from a company work truck.

12/22   Location:  N. Center and W. Coal City Road                                    Reed

            Summary:  Brandi J. Starr, age 36, of 1466 N. Center St. in Braidwood was cited for speeding and driving while license suspended.

 

12/24   Location:  S. Rt. 53 and W. Noel Road                                              Jackson

            Summary:  Jose Polito-Toto, age 28, of 600 Herkimer Road in Joliet was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage, speeding, and illegal transportation of alcohol.

 

 

12/27   Location:  23210 W. Stripmine Road            Dockside Marine                     Wilmington

            Summary:  Victim stated that upon arriving at the business he observed the overhead door to the storage building half open and discovered one UTV and two four wheelers were stolen.  Upon reviewing video footage, it was discovered that on 12/25 around 2:40am, two white/males jumped over the front gate and stole the UTV.  On 12/27, around 3am the same two white male subjects returned to the business and stole the two Can-Am four wheelers.

            Summary:  Michael E. Doll, age 70, of 1553 Kildeer Drive in Naperville was cited for aggravated speeding.

            Summary:  Terrence L. Brown, age 40, of 366 N. Broadway in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

12/18   Location:  14000 block of W. Cedar Glen Drive

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2016 Lincoln MKS from the driveway of a residence.  Sheriff’s deputies were notified that Burr Ridge Police had attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle in their jurisdiction in which it fled the area and evaded police.

12/14   Location:  21900 SW Frontage Road                         Leisure Lakes Resort

            Summary:  Employee stated that he observed a female/white, around 60 years of age, parked at the entrance of the resort around 4:30pm.  The next day the employee realized that the Christmas decorations had been stolen from the entrance. 

 

            Location:  100 W. Jefferson St.                                  Will County Courthouse

            Summary:  Cordell B. Franklin, age 27, of 137 W. Richton Road in Steger was charged with felony disorderly conduct after be pulled the fire alarm while being escorted in police custody from court holding area. 

 

12/15   Location:  119 S. Joliet St.

            Summary:  Gilberto De Anda Rizo, age 39, of this address, was taken into custody on an active Will County warrant.

 

12/16   Location:  100 W. Jefferson St.                      Will County Courthouse

            Summary:  Jerome Harris, age 39, of 1616 Main St. in Melrose Park was charged with defrauding a court ordered drug/alcohol screening.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a homemade trailer with a 12 foot fishing boat on top.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole an IPhone. 

 

12/18   Location:  W. Jefferson and N. 129^th St.

            Summary:  Heather M. Sullivan, age 35, of 2532 W. Springfield Road in St. Claire, MO was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug equipment, unlawful use of a weapon, operating vehicle with suspended registration, improper use of registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to secure new registration.

 

            Location:  Caton Farm Road and Eastline Drive

            Summary:  Martha Montanez, age 49, of 7313 Marley Circle in Plainfield was cited for aggravated speeding.

 

            Location:  1913 S. Chicago St.                                   Tacos Maui

            Summary:  About 2:31am, two unknown subjects threw a cinder block through a glass door.  The subjects entered the business and stole a cash register with $60 inside.  The offenders were driving a white Kia Forte.  New Lenox Police reported a similar incident around 3:08am and Mokena Police reported a similar incident, with the same vehicle description at 3:27am. 

 

12/19   Location:  E. Cass and Walnut

            Summary:  Larisa Camargo, age 34, of 24901 S. Hemphill Drive in Elwood was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage, failure to signal, and was held on an active warrant. 

 

            Location:  E. Laraway and Cherry Hill Road

            Summary:  Troy M. Gerrity, age 30, of 24729 S. Hemphill Drive in Elwood was arrested for DUI and illegal stopping/parking in roadway.

            Summary:  Elly R. McMeekin, age 29, of 132 Dogwood Lane in Wilmington was charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a correctional officer.

12/9     Location:  800 block of W. Arlington Lane                           Crete

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2017 Ford Explorer from the driveway of a residence.  The keys had been left inside the vehicle at time of theft.

 

12/10   Location:  1800 block of E. Rietveld Drive                           Crete

            Summary:  Deputies responded to a residential alarm.  Upon arrival, they observed the front entrance door to be damaged and ajar.  A check of the residence found that no one was inside however several rooms had been ransacked.  The homeowners were not home at the time of the theft.  It was unclear if anything was stolen at time of report.

 

12/13   Location:  W. Exchange and Warrior Way                            Crete

            Summary:  Sabria Mahon, age 27, of 3434 E. Challas Entrance Road in Crete was cited for aggravated speeding.

12/10   Location:  SE Frontage Road and W. Widows Road             Wilmington

            Summary:  Tina L. Baez, age 40, of 405 Hamilton St. in Wilmington was arrested for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying a stop sign.

 

12/11   Location:  W. Wilmington-Peotone Road and S. Cedar                    Manhattan

            Summary:  Liam J. Begley, age 19, of 16380 W. Peotone Road in Wilmington was arrested for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

12/8     Location:  N. Weber and W. Lakewood Falls Drive                          Plainfield

            Summary:  Adam L. Gomez, age 38, of 780 Oxbow Avenue in Oswego was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage.

 

            Location:  12002 S. Spaulding School Drive             Two Men and a Truck             Plainfield

            Summary:  Two unknown subjects, driving a black Chevy Camaro entered through the front gate of the business.  The subjects cut off the catalytic convertor from a company truck and left the scene.

 

12/10   Location:  400 block of N. Independence Blvd.                    DuPage

            Summary:  Armando Quinonez, age 41, of 12 Baker Circle in Romeoville was cited for obstructing a peace officer, driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lighting.

 

12/13   Location:  21000 block of W. Laguna Court                         Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out the window of a 2017 Jeep SRT in order to gain entry.  Offender/s then stole the vehicle.    The Jeep was parked on the corner of Lakeridge Drive and Laguna Court at time of theft.

12/8     Location:  W. Bruce Road and S. Meader Road                   

            Summary:  Daisy Cahue, age 22, of 17744 S. Willard Lane in Lockport was cited for aggravated speeding.

 

12/9     Location:  14747 W. 159^th St.                         Citgo Gas

            Summary:  Around 10:45am, an unknown male/black subject entered the store, grabbed the tip jar from the counter, and ran to a 2010 Mercedes SUV and drove away.

 

            Location:  14000 block of S. Arboretum Drive

            Summary:  Person/s unknown slashed all eight tires on two vehicles that were parked in a resident’s driveway.

 

            Location:  13000 block of W. Shady Lane

            Summary:  Person/s unknown slashed four tires on a vehicle and removed the four hubcaps from the wheels.  Offender/s also used a sharp object to gouge scratches along the rear trunk door and passenger side.

 

12/10   Location:  W. 159^th St. and S. Parker Road

            Summary:  Danielle Sowell, age 21, of 315 Stuart Road in Lockport was cited for driving while license suspended, aggravated speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX

 

12/8     Location:  19730 S. Harlem                            Speedway                   Frankfort

            Summary:  An unknown thin male black, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, entered the store and attempted to purchase a lighter.  After not having enough money for the purchase, he exited the store and entered a 2021 Toyota Corolla that had been left running in the parking lot.  The owner of the Corolla observed the man stealing her vehicle and ran outside.  After other police agencies were notified of the vehicle theft, the vehicle was reported being seen two times in Harvey.

12/7     Location:  95 S. Chicago St.               Adult Detention Facility

            Summary:  Karl T. Warnecke, age 44, no address, was charged with aggravated battery to a correctional officer.

 

12/8     Location:  W. Jefferson and Wilcox

            Summary:  Rico J. Wilson, age 28, of 11 Hunter Avenue in Joliet was cited for disobeying a stop sign, driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and illegal transportation of alcohol by a dirver.

 

12/9     Location:  95 S. Chicago St.                           Adult Detention Facility

            Summary:  Deshaun M. Cockream, age 22, of Joliet, was charged with public indecency.

 

            Location:  2544 Crystal Drive                                    Crystal Lawns Elementary

            Summary:  Principal of the school reported to deputies that person/s unknown used black spray paint to deface the school building and three other structures on the property.

 

12/10   Location:  2000 block of E. Washington

            Summary:  Diamond D. Anderson, age 27, of 2026 E. Washington St. in Joliet was cited for resisting a peace officer.  He was held on an active fugitive warrant.

 

12/11   Location:  Essington and Harbor Drive

            Summary:  Cole A. Senders, age 21, of 25845 W. Eames St. in Channahon was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage and speeding.

 

            Location:  Casseday and E. Cass

            Summary:  Ignacio Apolinar, age 55, of 522 Strong Avenue in Joliet was arrested for DUI, no front license plate, improper use of registration, improper lighting, failure to carry license.

 

12/13   Location:  Elgin and Walnut

            Summary:  James C. Sims, Jr., age 50, of 1607 Elgin Avenue in Joliet was cited for no valid license, operating vehicle without registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  20000 block of City Center Blvd.

            Summary:  Jamaris T. Drummer, age 23, of 5741 Allemong Drive in Matteson was cited for no registration lights and no valid driver’s license.

NEW LENOX AND FRANKFORT

 

11/30   Location:  N. Cedar Road                                           New Lenox

            Summary:  Around 1:30pm, an unknown male came to the door of a residence and identified himself as “Danny Rossi”.  The man stated that he worked for a tree service and was hired to do some work near the rear of the homeowner’s property.  The resident went outside with the man for about 10 minutes then returned inside.  The resident realized later that two purses were missing along with several pieces of fine jewelry, USC and a pocketknife.  The offender was described as white/male, 5’11”, and very thin.  He was wearing reflective sunglasses and a medical mask with a stocking cap.

 

12/2     Location:  7500 block of W. Lakeside Drive             Frankfort

            Summary:  Kevin K. Marshall, age 69, of 7722 Greenway Blvd. in Tinley Park was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without headlights after he struck a 98 year old female and a 26 year old female who had walked out from in front of a parked vehicle.   Both victims were transported to the hospital and were interviewed.   At time of this report, it appeared that both victims suffered from non-life threatening injuries. 

 

12/4     Location:  100 block of E. Circle Drive                     New Lenox

            Summary:  Stacy Macak, age 43, of 270 E. Circle Drive in New Lenox was cited for operating vehicle with no valid license.

 

            Location:  200 block of W. Circle Drive                    New Lenox

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2014 Acura MDX from the driveway of a residence.  The vehicle was unlocked with the key and a purse inside at time of theft.  Hours later, Sheriff’s deputies were notified that a Chicago Police officer had recovered the victim’s driver’s license and other personal items in the middle of a street in Chicago jurisdiction.

12/2     Location:  N. Independence and W. Taylor                DuPage

            Summary:  Joseph R. Nylander, age 42, of 1175 S. Finley Road in Lombard was cited for obstructing identification, speeding, failure to signal, and was held on an active Will County FTA warrant.

 

12/5     Location:  S. Weber and W. Gaskin                           DuPage

            Summary:  Juan J. Bernal, age 21, of 13656 S. Jane Circle in Plainfield was arrested for disobeying a traffic control device, illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no valid driver’s license and reckless driving.  He was also held on an active DuPage County, FTA warrant.

 

JOLIET

 

11/30   Location:  S. Briggs and Mabel

            Summary:  Three unknown Hispanic males attempted to partake in a ruse burglary.  Two of the men knocked on the front door of a residence stating they were there to check the water quality in the home.  The homeowner allowed them inside and while they were leading the homeowner around the home, two family members arrived home and found a third unknown male in a bedroom.  The three subjects quickly left the residence.  Nothing was stolen.
