FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX
11/30 Location: 8700 block of W. St. Francis Road Frankfort
Summary: Person/s unknown entered a property and stole a 2004 Chevy 3500 pickup truck, a 16ft. trailer flatbed, a Polaris Ranger UTV, a Kubota tractor, a Bobcat 773, two Bobcat edged buckets, a lawnmower, a homemade go-cart with Honda engine, and four Polaris Ranger tires with rims. The pickup truck was left unlocked with all the keys to the other items inside.
12/2 Location: 20000 block of S. Oak Lane Frankfort
Summary: Deputies received multiple calls regarding a suspicious male subject acting erratically and flailing his arms with a silver handgun in the intersection of North Avenue and Oak Avenue. Deputies located the subject, Keith M. Bonner, age 54, of 7328 W. Hickory Creek Drive in Frankfort. Deputies ordered Bonner to drop his weapon and get on the ground. Bonner complied and was secured in handcuffs. A cell phone was found on his person along with identifying information. Bonner advised deputies that he believed unknown person/s had broken into his home and he fired his handgun 4/5 times in order to scare them away and ran outside.
While deputies were on scene with Bonner additional deputies were called to a report of an armed robbery at a residence. Victims related that they heard someone frantically knocking at their front door. When they opened the door Mr. Bonner said, “I need your phone, call the police,” and then pointed the handgun at the victim. The victim complied with Bonner and locked the doors.
Bonner was charged with felony possession of a firearm, aggravated robbery, and two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
SOUTH TOWNSHIPS
11/30 Location: S. Rt. 53 and W. Old Explosive Road Wilmington
Summary: Maxwell Dalteski, age 19, of Shorewood was cited for aggravated speeding.
12/4 Location: S. Rt. 53 and W. New River Road Wilmington
Summary: Katie Alexander, age 30, of Homewood was cited for suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no driver’s license on person.
JOLIET
12/2 Location: 1300 block of Pequot St.
Summary: Deputies were called to a residence regarding a shooting. Upon arrival they observed a 29-year-old male subject laying on the front porch of a residence who stated that he was walking towards a vehicle when he heard about 6 shots. He immediately realized he was shot in the right thigh and knocked for help. The victim did not see anyone shoot at him. Several spent shell casings were found in the middle of the street.
Location: Henderson and E. Jackson
Summary: Natividad Ventura, age 37, of 501 Pasadena in Crest Hill was arrested for aggravated DUI, DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage.
12/3 Location: 1900 block of Moore Avenue
Summary: Victim stated that she locked her Kia Forte and went inside her apartment. Upon returning to her vehicle, she observed the vehicle to be missing with broken glass where she had parked. The victim pushed the key fob alarm and heard the horn. The vehicle was found in a different section of the parking lot with the broken window and the steering column removed with the ignition hanging.
Location: Bradford Road
Summary: Deputies were called to a motor vehicle theft. While en route they were advised that Country Club Hills Police had located an abandoned 2021 Hyndai Elantra in the back yard of a residence in their jurisdiction. The vehicle was found with a broken window and the steering column removed. Victim stated that she had parked in the parking lot and went inside her apartment. When she returned to her vehicle, she realized person/s unknown had stolen it.
12/3 Location: Bradford Road
Summary: Victim stated that she parked her 2020 Hyundai Elantra in the parking lot of the apartment complex. When she went back to her vehicle, she realized it had been stolen. Flock hits on the vehicle were in the area of Matteson and Country Club Hills.
WEST TOWNSHIPS
11/29 Location: Juliet and DePaul DuPage
Summary: Carlos Ramirez, age 39, of Lockport was cited for driving while license revoked, disobeying a stop sign, and violation of child restraint.
11/30 Location: 645 S. Weber Road M&E Framing DuPage
Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a storage POD and stole several drills, drill impact guns and grinders.
12/3 Location: 25605 W. 111th Street Plainfield
Summary: Zydia Vargas, age 31, of 2245 N. Major Avenue in Chicago was arrested for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Location: 14000 block of S. Edgewater Drive Plainfield
Summary: Person/s unknown caused damage to a vehicle by using a large rock and slamming it into the hood.
12/4 Location: 21000 block of W. Chastworth Lane Plainfield
Summary: Person/s unknown entered a 2022 Hyundai Venue and peeled back the steering column in order to attempt to steal it.
EAST TOWNSHIPS
12/4 Location: S. Highland and W. Pauling Monee
Summary: Gregory Randall, age 48, of Dolton was cited for too fast for conditions and driving while license suspended.
LOCKPORT
12/4 Location: 14363 S. Archer Avenue Rinks Gun Shop
Summary: Deputies responded to an activated security alarm. Upon arrival they observed the front window on the building had been broken out. Video surveillance revealed the offender to be a male/black, in his late teens/early 20’s, wearing Levi brand slides and carrying a pink camo backpack. Under investigation.
