6/14     Location:  500 block of Miami St.    

            Summary:  John Roy Hernandez, Jr., age 20, of 518 Campbell St. in Joliet was arrested for aggravated battery, aggravated discharge of a firearm and violation of order of protection.  Angel Santiago-Vargas, age 21, of 518 Campbell St. in Joliet was arrested for aggravated battery and aggravated discharge of a firearm.

 

            Location:  Manhattan Road and W. Laraway Road

            Summary:  Steven Gorman, age 62, of 240 Trask in Manhattan was arrested for DUI and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

6/15     Location:  E. Cass and Henderson St.

            Summary:  Dwight Franklin, age 50, of 314 Oneida in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.

 

            Location:  E. Cass and Youngs Avenue

            Summary:  Jarelle Freeman, age 26, of 1417 Dearborn St. in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  20505 SE Frontage Road              Bedrock Exterior Contractors

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole the catalytic converter off a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 and a 2014 Dodge Ram 2500.

 

6/16     Location:  S. Briggs and E. Washington

            Summary:  Luis F. Gallardo-Garcia, age 26, of 1919 Kelly Avenue in Crest Hill was cited for driving while license suspended and improper lighting.  He was held on an active DuPage County warrant.

 

            Location:  2423 Plainfield Road                    E & S Auto Sales

            Summary:  A grey Mitsubishi with two male blacks and two female whites entered the business lot and stole four speakers from a Dodge Ram pickup truck.  Estimated loss value:  $1,000.

 

6/18     Location:  Caton Farm Road and Commonwealth Avenue

            Summary:  Christopher Brust, age 20, of 6908 Riley Drive in Joliet was cited for speeding and no valid driver’s license.

 

            Location:  Caton Farm and Caton Crest Drive

            Summary:  Demetres Barrentine, age 39, of 201 4^th Avenue in Joliet was cited for speeding and driving while license revoked.

 

            Location:  Caton Farm and Enid

            Summary:  Destiny Jones, age 21, of 1308 Mason Avenue in Joliet was cited for speeding and no valid driver’s license.

 

            Location:  Plainfield Road and Webb St.

            Summary:  Robert Krankvich, age 40, of 21439 Abbey Lane in Crest Hill was cited for expired registration and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  Black Road and Ann St.

            Summary:  Branden Cain-Pierce, age 31, of 1307 Pico Court in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and speeding.

 

            Location:  95 S. Chicago St.                           Adult Detention Facility

            Summary:  Benjamin Altiery, age 39, of Joliet was charged with criminal damage to property after he threw a chair at the wall mounted TV and cracked it.

 

            Location:  Joseph M. Corredor, age 45, of 1400 Maple Road in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

6/19     Location:  I57

            Summary:  Joseu Marin-Martinez, age 31, of 1164 N. Century in Rantoul, IL was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of ammunition with no FOID card and possession of a controlled substance. 

 

            Location:  Root St. and Grandview

            Summary:  Edwin Garcia, age 35, of 8128 Waterbury Court in Woodridge was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage.

 

6/20     Location:  Linden and Miles

            Summary:  Jose Mascote, age 27, of 108 Hobbs Avenue in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

SOUTH TOWNSHIPS

NEW LENOX AND FRANKFORT

 

6/15     Location:  1333 S. Schoolhouse Road                       New Lenox      several businesses

            Summary: -

- Person/s unknown broke into the office building of Straightline Performance and stole a Ruger LCP380 and a small safe.  Offender/s also broke into a trailer that was parked in the business lot.  Nothing was taken.

 -  Offender/s broke into Ybarra Truck Repair and damaged a TV, toolbox and an Adir locking key box.  A cell phone and an airsoft gun was also missing.

 - Manager of Great Sports stated that offender/s broke into their warehouse and broke into two vending machines and pried open the doors.  Offenders also caused damage to a third vending machine, and released a fire extinguisher all over the floor.  Offenders also drove a golf cart through a metal cage area, and used an axe to force open an (empty) safe.    Deputies observed a two-foot hole cut into the siding of the back of the building where the offender/s gained entry.   Once all employees were allowed to return to the warehouse it was also discovered that an Apollo 250RX dirt bike had body damage, along with a Batman go-cart, a golf cart, and two motorcycle trikes.   A 2020 Apollo motorcycle and a Massimo ATV were stolen, along with a Samsung tablet, a fishing rod, cash and a trailer that had been parked outside. 

- Deputies spoke with an individual who stated that he had permission to use one of the business parking lots to park his 2000 Roadmaster motor home.  Offender/s smashed in the passenger door window and cut the locking mechanism.  Nothing was missing from inside.

- Offender/s broke into a CBD business with a storeroom and office.  It was unclear at time of report if anything was missing.  Business owner stated he would do a full inventory and report to deputies at a later date.

 

            Location:  9511 W. Monee-Manhattan Road             Frankfort                     Green Garden Country Club

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole two golf carts after they broke the locking mechanism to the cart-holding gate and cut the electricity to the alarm box. 

 

6/17     Location:  2800 block of Morcambe Bay Drive                     New Lenox

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a red recumbent Sun E2-Tri Classic bike from the driveway of a residence.

 

WEST TOWNSHIPS

 

6/16     Location:  13909 S. Budler Road                   Plainfield                     Creekside Elementary

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke the glass out of an entrance door of the school.  Offender/s also used dry erase markers and spray paint in order to write offensive and gang related graffiti in several areas around the building.  Video surveillance was being reviewed.

 

6/20     Location:  22000 block of W. Lockport St.                Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke out the window of a vehicle and stole a wallet containing USC, gift cards, a debit card and a driver’s license.

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS

 

6/16     Location:  25608 S. Dixie Highway                           Crete               U Store It

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered the gated storage area and cut the catalytic converter off a 2006 Ford motor home.

 

HOMER GLEN

 

6/14     Location:  W. 159^th St. and S. Gougar Road

            Summary:  Gelasio Temich-Temich, age 34, of 315 Willow Avenue in Joliet was cited for driving while license revoked, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

6/15     Location:  S. Parker and W. Sweetwater Drive

            Summary:  Lukas Marauskas, age 20, of 13660 W. Ironwood Circle in Homer Glen was cited for speeding.

 

6/17     Location:  W. 151^st and S. Wingate Drive

            Summary:  Ranya Hinnawi, age 23, of 10544 S. Central Avenue in Chicago Ridge was cited for suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.

 

6/18     Location:  W. 167^th St. and S. Parker Road

            Summary:  Ryan Kokosz, age 21, of 16019 S. Donna Marie Drive in Homer Glen was cited for aggravated speeding.
