7/27 Location: New Lenox and Frankfort
Summary: Sheriff’s deputies conducted several alcohol and tobacco compliance checks at various businesses in an attempt to limit the sale of these products being sold to minors. Fifteen businesses denied sales to an underage person and two businesses failed to refuse the underage person and received an ordinance violation for selling, giving, or delivery of alcohol or tobacco to an underage person.
7/31 Location: 24000 block of S. 88th Avenue Frankfort
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 12 ft. Behnke flatbed trailer from a private property.
WEST TOWNSHIPS
7/30 Location: 13000 block of S. Elizabeth Drive Plainfield
Summary: An unknown white or Hispanic male wearing a white and gray hoodie with a dark black beard stole a 1985 Honda Spree scooter from the driveway of a residence. The offender was observed with the scooter in his 2000 Toyota Corolla near the residence where he stole it.
7/31 Location: W. Rt. 30 and W. 127th St. Plainfield
Summary: Matthew R. Hill, age 25, of 1308 Phoenix Lane in Joliet was cited for leaving the scene of an accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to notify police of an accident.
Location: W. Rt. 30 and W. 111th St. Plainfield
Summary: Joshua T. Renner, age 23, of 406 W. Navaho Avenue in Shabbona, IL was cited for leaving the scene of an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.
8/1 Location: Caton Farm and S. McKenna Plainfield
Summary: Khouri Hughes, age 26, of 7416 Kenicott Lane in Plainfield was cited for expired registration and driving while license suspended.
Location: 23000 block of W. Royal Worlington Drive Wheatland
Summary: Homeowner reported that person/s unknown shot a projectile at his kitchen window causing a small hole. Deputies were unable to locate the projectile in order to identify it as a BB or a bullet.
8/2 Location: 16421 S. Mayleon Drive Plainfield
Summary: Allen D. Thomas, age 80, of this address was charged with disorderly conduct and aggravated assault.
JOLIET
7/27 Location: S. Briggs and 5th Avenue
Summary: Frederick Johnson, age 49, of 1317 Milkweed Drive in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.
Location: 95 S. Chicago St. Adult Detention Center
Summary: Keith Gaines, age 26, of 13658 S. Jonesport Circle in Plainfield was charged with aggravated battery to a correctional officer after he punched and bit an officer.
Location: N. Hammes and W. Jefferson
Summary: Faye D. King, age 47, of 200 Madison in Joliet was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
7/28 Location: Oneida and Madison
Summary: Johnnie P. Green, age 40, of 117 3rd Avenue in Joliet was cited for driving while license revoked.
Location: 1300 block of E. Cass
Summary: Alisa Evans, age 24, of 318 Illinois St. in Joliet was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Location: 2409 Plainfield Road Instant Replay
Summary: Sheriff’s deputies responded to an activated alarm around 5am. Upon arrival, they observed the front deadbolt lock to be pried open and the door ajar. Video footage revealed a male/white walking around the business attempting to open doors with a crowbar. The offender did gain entry but a short time later, the male is seen running out the back door and entering a midsized dark Chevy SUV. Nothing was missing.

Summary: Isaac Norfleet, age 47, of 1544 Marquette in Joliet was cited for driving while license revoked.
7/29 Location: 800 block of Murphy Drive
Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a residence and stole fine jewelry.
Location: Kildare Avenue
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a wallet and a set of keys from inside a vehicle while the vehicle owner was inside the residence. The owner was later notified that someone had located the stolen property on the roadway in Romeoville.
Location: 23213 S. Youngs Road Canal Terminal
Summary: Person/s unknown broke out three large windows from the abandoned building. The inside offices had been ransacked, ceiling tiles were damaged, and beer cans were found on the ground.
Location: 95 S. Chicago St. Adult Detention Facility
Summary: Deshaun Cockream, age 22, of 10 E. Zarley Blvd in Joliet was charged with battery after punching another inmate multiple times.
7/31 Location: 1913 S. Chicago St. Ranch Liquors
Summary: Victim stated that he arrived at the business to visit a friend. He left his keys inside his vehicle and doors unlocked. When he returned to the parking lot his 2020 Kia Sorrento had been stolen.
8/1 Location: Parks and E. Cass
Summary: Gabriel Arias, age 20, of 610 N. Hickory St. in Joliet was cited for aggravated speeding.
Location: 100 block of Anderson
Summary: Linzi K. Viscum, age 34, of 111 Anderson Avenue in Joliet was arrested for battery.
Location: S. Briggs and E. Washington
Summary: Joseph R. Rulec, age 63, of 129 Park Road in Joliet was arrested for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Location: 1600 block of Mills Road
Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a residence and stole a Sig Saur 226 firearm and a Smith and Wesson M&P9.
Location: W. Jefferson and Republic
Summary: Sherman Fox, age 39, of 327 18th St. in Cloquet, MN was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.
EAST TOWNSHIPS
7/28 Location: Patriot Court and Parliament Crete
Summary: Charles J. Finch, age 21, of 24382 Patriot Lane in Crete was charged with aggravated speeding, failure to yield emergency vehicle and disobeying a traffic control device.
7/30 Location: 24000 block of S. Lakeside Trail Crete
Summary: Person/s unknown, driving a red tow truck, stole a 2016 Jeep Cherokee from a residence.
Location: 25515 S. Rt. 45 Monee Circle K
Summary: Person/s unknown used a torch to burn off the lock on the air machine (used for tires), in order to steal the coins inside. The offender was unsuccessful at stealing the coins.
8/2 Location: 26435 S. Dixie Highway Balmoral Race Track
Summary: Caretaker stated that around 3pm he observed an unknown male/Hispanic with a reflective vest on by the air conditioning units. He yelled at the subject and the subject dropped a pipe cutter, jumped the fence, and ran off into nearby fields. While checking out the seven air conditioning units it was discovered that all seven had damage caused by the coolant pipes being cut. Several short lengths of copper piping were also found near the units.

7/28 Location: 26000 block of S. Rowell Avenue Jackson
Summary: Person/s unknown broke into a barn. Nothing was missing.
7/31 Location: 23000 block of W. Stevens Lane Wilmington
Summary: Person/s unknown stole a 12-foot homemade trailer from a private property.
LOCKPORT
7/29 Location: S. State and Daggett Avenue
Summary: Richard Moody, Jr., age 40, of 202 Barrett St. in Lockport was cited for no valid registration, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, speeding, and driving while license suspended.
HOMER GLEN
7/28 Location: Village of Homer Glen
Summary: Sheriff’s deputies conducted alcohol and tobacco compliance checks on twelve various businesses within the Village of Homer Glen. Eleven businesses refused sales to minors and one business owner received an ordinance citation for selling tobacco to a minor.
7/29 Location: 13000 block of S. Bell Road
Summary: Litonya V. Williams, age 55, of 7249 S. St. Lawrence in Chicago was taken into custody on a valid Chicago Police, FTA warrant, a warrant out of Glenview Police, and a valid warrant through DuPage County.
7/30 Location: S. Bell Road and W. 159th St.
Summary: Ameed A. Jabr, age 37, of 8617 Massosoit Avenue in Burbank was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, suspended registration, and speeding.
Location: 13956 S. Bell Road Menards
Summary: Eddie L. Roberts, age 29, of 6719 S. East End Avenue in Chicago was arrested for Retail Theft over $500, identity theft, and fictitious identification.
