SOUTH TOWNSHIPS

 

8/7       Location:  W. Manteno Road and W. Rt. 102                        Wilmington

            Summary:  Kristin Patchett, age 38, of 1503 Grace St. in Murphysboro, IL was cited for no valid drivers’ license and disregarding a stop sign.

 

LOCKPORT

 

8/6       Location:  200 block of Fairmont Avenue    

            Summary:  Two homes and a vehicle suffered damage after person/s unknown shot bullets into them. The vehicle was parked in the driveway of a home and was struck on the driver’s side rear door.  Two bullet holes were observed in the east wall of that residence.  The resident of the second home stated that it was raining out during the evening hours and did not hear anything; however, she found pieces of drywall on the floor in her living room and two holes in the walls.  No one was injured in either home or the vehicle.

 

8/8       Location:  300 block of Bradford Court

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2004 Chevy Tahoe and an attached cargo trailer.  Several pieces of lawn equipment tools were inside the trailer. 

 

8/10     Location:  S. Gougar and W. 167^th St.

            Summary:  Brandy Murray, age 42, of 211 Oakview Avenue in Joliet was cited for improper passing and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  700 block of N. State St.

            Summary:  Donald L. Hudgens, age 47, of 116 Connell Avenue in Rockdale was arrested for possession of stolen motor vehicle. 

 

WEST TOWNSHIPS

 

8/12     Location:  14000 block of S. Edgewater Drive                      Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet.  By the time the victim called to cancel his debit card there were already several unauthorized purchases made.

 

            Location:  14000 block of S. Edgewater Drive                      Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2006 Mitsubishi Raider from the front of a residence.  The vehicle owner had both sets of keys in his possession and believed the vehicle to be locked at time of theft.

 

            Location:  21000 block of W. Edison lane                             Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2017 Nissan Sentra that was parked in the driveway of a residence.  The keys were left inside the vehicle along with a purse.

 

JOLIET

 

8/6       Location:  W. Jefferson and N. Hammes

            Summary:  Joshua Davis-Nguyen, age 34, of 1416 Pheasant Landing Drive in Plainfield was cited for no registration plate, possession of a controlled substance and no valid driver’s license.

 

8/7       Location:  S. Briggs and I80

            Summary:  Jesse J. Glover, age 73, of 1357 W. Colony Drive in Crete was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and no valid driver’s license.

 

8/7       Location:  S. Larkin and McDonough St.

            Summary:  Matthew Roger McClay, age 22, of 210 Route 44 in Pleasant Valley, NY was cited for driving while license suspended and illegal screeching of tires.

 

8/8       Location:  W. Jefferson and N. Larkin

            Summary:  Carrie S. Caston, age 43, of 1301 N. Raynor in Joliet was cited for speeding and driving while license revoked.

 

8/9       Location:  McDonough and S. Larkin

            Summary:  Percy T. Unger, age 50, of 1114 Woodruff Road in Joliet was cited for improper lane usage, failure to signal, driving while license revoked and aggravated driving while license revoked.

 

            Location:  200 block of Schorie

            Summary:  Michael D. Lane, age 26, of 112 N. Center in Joliet was arrested for criminal damage to government property, battery, and assault.

 

8/10     Location:  Scott and Columbia

            Summary:  Michelle L. Wells, age 53, of 105 Nobes Avenue in Lockport was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  19000 block of S. County Line Road

            Summary:  Jason Medina, age 29, of 2201 N. Neva Avenue in Chicago was arrested for DUI.

 

8/11     Location:  W. Jefferson and Wilcox

            Summary:  Valerie R. Martinez, age 28, of 520 Oneida St. in Joliet was cited for no registration lights, no valid driver’s license, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  1400 block of Sehring St.

            Summary:  Sheriff’s deputies were called to the area regarding shots fired.  Upon speaking to a homeowner, they were informed that person/s unknown fired a gun at their home.  A bullet went thru a bedroom window and struck a mirror that was hanging over a bed.  A teenager was in the bed at the time but was not injured.  A second bullet struck the outside frame of the same window.  Sheriff’s deputies also spoke to a second homeowner on the 1400 block of Sehring.  They stated that they heard 10 to 15 gunshots around 7pm.  That house sustained a bullet hole near a north side corner.  No one was injured.

 

FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX

 

8/8       Location:  12225 W. 179^th St.                        Mokena

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a construction site and stole a load of white metal liner panels.  The panels were wrapped, sealed, and weighed about 2500 lbs.

 

8/9       Location:  11000 block of W. Stuenkel Road            Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into a pole barn and stole a purple F-150 truck.  The truck was discovered on the owner’s property in a cornfield.  The vehicle was unoccupied with the door’s open and the keys in the ignition.  Inside the pole barn, a car-hauler trailer and sleeper camper had damage to their doors.  It was unclear at time of report if anything else was damaged.

 

            Location:  W. Lincoln Highway and S. Harlem                     Frankfort

            Summary:  James J. Mountfort, age 50, of 4678 Lilac Avenue in Monee was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license revoked.

 

8/10     Location:  18000 block of S. Spring Meadows Drive                        Mokena

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a detached shed and stole a John Deere lawn tractor, a leaf blower, and a lawn stripping kit.

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS

 

8/6       Location:  S. Kings Road and W. Norfolk Avenue                Crete

            Summary:  Thomas J. Olsen, age 58, of 405 W. Richton Road in Steger was cited for driving while license revoked and obstructed/tinted windows.

 

8/9       Location:  24000 block of S. Willow Brook Trail                  Crete

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered the back sliding door of a residence and stole a Galaxy 7 and a Kindle Fire.  The homeowner had just stepped outside for a brief walk.

 

            Location:  28000 block of S. Yates Avenue                           Beecher

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a residence and stole a safe containing USC and residential paperwork.

 

            Location:  W. Old Monee Road and S. Sangamon St.                       Crete

            Summary:  Jose D. Galven, age 41, of 1712 S. Dixie Highway in Crete was cited for driving while license revoked and speeding.

 

            Location:  Blackhawk Drive and University Parkway                       University Park

            Summary:  Chelsie Williams, age 23, of 454 W. 14^th Place in Chicago Heights was arrested for possession of cannabis over 100 grams.

 

8/10     Location:  4600 block of W. Offner Road                 Monee

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2009 Chevy Trailblazer from the driveway of a residence.  The owner was in possession of both sets of keys.

 

8/11     Location:  3000 block of E. Poplar Lane                    Crete

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered two vehicles and stole a backpack containing an Apple IPad from one and $30 from the other vehicle.

 

8/12     Location:  6600 block of W. North Peotone Road                 Peotone

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a vacant residence and stole 16 feet of copper pipe from the basement ceiling.

 

HOMER GLEN

 

8/6       Location:  14000 block of S. Teakwood Drive

            Summary:  Person/s unknown threw eggs at two vehicles while they were parked in a resident’s driveway.  Offender/s also threw eggs at the front siding and porch area of the home.  The eggs caused damage and scratches to the vehicles and the siding.

 

8/9       Location:  W. 159^th St. and S. Hidden Valley Trail

            Summary:  James W. Powers, age 53, of 1761 W. Christopher Court in Romeoville was cited for driving with suspended registration and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  W. 159^th St. and S. Cedar Road

            Summary:  Alfredo A. Arellano, age 22, of 3210 W. Arthington St. in Chicago was arrested for driving while license suspended.  Worth Police took custody of Arellano relating to a pending investigation that led to the Sheriff’s Office traffic stop and these charges. 

 

8/10     Location:  S. Bell and W. Woodland Drive

            Summary:  Shanell Alexander, age 31, of 9234 S. Indiana Avenue in Chicago was cited for improper lane usage and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  16000 block of S. Cedar Road

            Summary:  William Stoll Jr., age 49, of 2301 Marmion Avenue in Joliet was cited for driving while license revoked and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

8/11     Location:  15365 W. 163^rd St.                        Morris Park

            Summary:  A male subject reported to deputies that while he and a friend were walking through the park he observed an unknown vehicle parked next to his vehicle.  The vehicle then took off.  When he approached his vehicle, he observed the rear back window smashed out.  His friend’s purse had been stolen along with an IPhone.

 

            Location:  W. 143^rd St. and S. Greystone Drive

            Summary:  Arely Aguilar, age 34, of 15125 El Camino Real Drive in Orland Park was cited for failure to signal, no valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

8/12     Location:  14556 S. Coachman Lane

            Summary:  Christopher Mroz, age 34, of this address, was arrested for aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and resisting a peace officer.
