6/11     Location:  W. Jefferson and N. Midland

            Summary:  Kyle Walker, age 34, of 211 N. Broadway in Joliet was cited for no registration lights, failure to carry license and no valid license.

 

            Location:  E. Cass and Henderson

            Summary:  Robert Hutchins III, age 50, of 322 Pine St. in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

6/12     Location:  40 E. Laraway Road                      Pilot Travel Center

            Summary:  Fabian Carl Shije, age 56, of 46 Mountain View in San Ysidro, NM was cited for improper lane usage and no valid driver’s license.

 

            Location:  I80 and Houbolt

            Summary:  Darren R. Chatman, age 31, of 15927 Vine Avenue in Harvey was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

6/13     Location:  Fiesta Drive

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unoccupied home and stole an engagement ring and a gold bracelet.

 

            Location:  300 block of N. Briggs

            Summary:  Leonardo Ubaldo-Perez, age 25, of 413 Clay in Joliet was arrested for violation of order of protection, violation of bail bond, aggravated stalking, aggravated assault, and criminal trespass to residence, and unlawful possession of stolen property.

 

6/14     Location:  Carey and S. Briggs

            Summary:  Arieonna Merrell, age 25, of 911 Davison in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  N. Hammes and W. Jefferson

            Summary:  Carlyon Jones, age 22, of 22906 W. Charlotte Road in Plainfield was cited for no registration light and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  S. Briggs and E. Washington

            Summary:  Juan D. Bautista, age 54, of 285 Geneva Drive in Harvey was cited for no valid drivers’ license.

 

            Location:  Collins and Hills Avenue

            Summary:  Carlos Beltran, age 60, of 558 Irving in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  W. Jefferson and N. Hammes

            Summary:  Shawndell Smith, age 30, was cited for resisting a peace officer and obstructing justice.  He was held on an active warrant.

 

            Location:  95 S. Chicago St.                           Adult Detention Facility

            Summary:  Anthony C. Garrett, age 52, of 1412 E. 71^st Place in Chicago was charged with contraband in penal institution.

 

6/15     Location:  E. Washington and S. Briggs

            Summary:  Evelyn Regalado, age 22, of 2200 Hawthorne Avenue in Crete was cited for driving while license suspended and speeding.

 

            Location:  1400 block of Eagle St.

            Summary:  A 24-year-old female stated to deputies that she was sleeping in the backseat of her vehicle around 5:23pm when an unknown male Hispanic, about 27 to 35 years old, black ponytail and beard, opened the vehicle door, grabbed her purse, and ran to a waiting black, Ford F-150 with tinted windows.  The female began to pursue the vehicle down Briggs Street and when both vehicle were on Cass and Kraker, the truck stopped, the passenger ran back and handed the female her purse and the truck took off again.  The wallet was missing from inside the purse.    Under investigation.

            Summary:  Kelvin Franklin, age 23, of 821 Greenfield in Joliet was cited for no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, obstructed windows and failure to yield emergency vehicle.

 

6/16     Location:  W. Jefferson and N. Larkin

            Summary:  William J. Preisser, age 53, of 4401 Adele Lane in Oak Forest was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no license plates, and no valid registration.

 

6/17     Location:  S. Center and W. Marion

            Summary:  Braeannalin Sielken, age 26, of 23650 W. Springs Court in Plainfield was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  N. Larkin and Plainfield Road

            Summary:  Daniel S. Martinez, Jr., age 22, of 5629 Jackson St. in Merrillville, IN was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage, improper turn at intersection and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  W. Jefferson and N. Midland

            Summary:  Dennis D. Sudberry, age 27, of 6526 S. Hermitage Avenue in Chicago was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lighting.

 

FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX

 

6/11     Location:  22000 block of S. Beverly Lane                            Frankfort

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole two diamond rings from a residence.  Victim stated that the only people believed to be in her home around the time of the theft were two male employees from Stanley Steamer carpet cleaning.

 

            Location:  7232 W. Benton Drive                              Frankfort                     Happy Daze

            Summary:  Deputies were called to an activated alarm.  Upon arrival, they observed the front glass of the business to be broken out.  An employee arrived and stated that a cash register was missing, along with an unknown amount of cigarettes.  Video surveillance was reviewed.  A black sedan was observed with two male black subjects forcing entry into the business.    Tinley Park Police advised that they also had two attempted burglary calls to businesses near this area but in Tinley Park jurisdiction.

 

6/14     Location:  300 block of Hillside Road                                   New Lenox

            Summary:  Augustino Cocco, age 91, of 13616 Milifork Lane in Gravais Mills, MO was arrested for battery. 

 

WEST TOWNSHIPS

 

6/11     Location:  16000 block of S. Legion Court                            Plainfield

            Summary:  Kevin J. Thompson, age 31, of 16056 S. Legion Court in Plainfield was arrested for violation of order of protection and possession of a controlled substance.

 

6/14     Location:  16000 block of S. Essington Road                                    Plainfield

            Summary:  Joey P. Snyder, age 21, of 2958 Black Road in Joliet was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, speeding, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no seat belt, failure to exercise due care and failure to carry license when driving.

 

6/15     Location:  100 block of Lakeside Drive                                 Wheatland

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered a residence and stole three men’s watches. 

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS

 

6/11     Location:  24000 block of S. Harlem                          Monee

            Summary:  Attracta Coyne, age 72, of 24809 S. Harlem Avenue in Monee was cited for failure to yield turning left.

 

            Location:  32000 block of S. Ashland                        Beecher

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2016 Honda Rancher ATV from a property.   The keys had been left in the ignition at time of theft.

 

6/12     Location:  28202 S. 120^th Avenue                              Peotone

            Summary:  Douglas E. Kuypers, age 38, of this address, was arrested for reckless discharge of firearm.

 

            Location:  23000 block of S. Torrence Avenue                     Crete

            Summary:  Person/s unknown put fireworks into a mailbox and lit it on fire.   The mailbox was located at the end of the driveway.   No one was injured.

 

6/17     Location:  9400 block of W. Eagle Lake Road                      Peotone

            Summary:  Byron D. Pearce, age 18, of 5041 Harbor Lane in Richton Park was cited for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and driving while license suspended.

6/16     Location:  113 South Avenue

            Summary:  Lavoris R. Lennon, age 28, of this address, was arrested for battery and resisting a police officer.  

 

            Location:  21000 block of W. Division St.

            Summary:  Jorge Zamora-Rivera, age 21, of 111 Akin Avenue in Joliet was cited for no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and speeding.

 

6/17     Location:  3600 block of S. State St.

            Summary:  Patrick L. Taylor, age 37, of 223 Riverview Avenue in Lockport was arrested for burglary to motor vehicle, theft of vehicle parts (2 counts), criminal trespass to vehicle, aggravated driving while license suspended, and resisting a peace officer.

6/13     Location:  S. State St. and Trask St.                           Manhattan

            Summary:  Israel Ramirez-Romero, age 47, of 1519 S. Chicago St. in Joliet was cited for failure to signal and no valid driver’s license.
