1/29     Location:  95 S. Chicago St.                           Adult Detention Facility

            Summary:  Dalefonte Okafor-Smith, age 20, of 129 Blackhawk Drive in Park Forest was charged with battery.

 

            Location:  S. River and W. Shepley Road    

            Summary:  Marshall L. Connor, age 39, of 25330 W. Hill Road in Minooka was cited for failure to yield turning left.

 

2/1       Location:  S. Briggs and E. Washington

            Summary:  Darryl Roberson, age 28, of 2024 Tamarack Drive in Joliet was cited for expired registration and driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  Center and Jefferson

            Summary:  Antonio Kneeland, age 47, of 7925 S. Bishop St. in Chicago was cited for improper lane usage and driving while license suspended.

 

2/2       Location:  Maple and N. Briggs

            Summary:  Robert B. Huizar, age 46, of 501 Krakar Avenue in Joliet was arrested for aggravated DUI, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving while license revoked, and possession of a controlled substance.

 

            Location:  E. Washington and Richards

            Summary:  Kenneth Hill, age 46, of 912 Union in University Park was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

2/3       Location:  I80 and S. Briggs

            Summary:  Daveon H. Lucas, age 18, of 2809 Spruce St. in Rock Falls, IL was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of cannabis over 10 grams.

 

            Location:  Emery and Allen

            Summary:  Noe Patino-Arroyo, age 40, of 221 Emery in Joliet was charged with aggravated speeding and resisting a peace officer.

 

2/4       Location:  E. Cass and Walnut

            Summary:  Marichu Thompson, age 35, of 1616 E. Washington St. in Joliet was cited for driving while license suspended, expired registration, improper display of registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

            Location:  Akin Avenue and E. Washington

            Summary:  Jasmine N. Padilla, age 27, of 502 Williamson in Joliet was cited for no registration light and driving while license suspended.

 

FRANKFORT AND NEW LENOX

 

1/29     Location:  1300 block of W. Maple                                        New Lenox

            Summary:  Kyle Ballard, age 25, of 2121 Sanford Avenue in New Lenox was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.

 

1/31     Location:  20000 block of s. Humboldt Drive                                    Frankfort

            Summary:  An unknown male Hispanic knocked on the front door of an elderly homeowner and stated that he worked for the water department.  The man was wearing a yellow work vest and black jacket and asked to check the inside plumbing.  The homeowner went into the basement with the subject as he knocked on some pipes and ran the water.

Later in the evening, the homeowner discovered that five gold necklaces, three rings, two gold bracelets and USC was missing from an upstairs dresser.  The homeowner believes the robbery took place by a second subject while she was in the basement with the other man.

 

2/2       Location:  18000 block of S. Crystal Lake Drive                               Frankfort

            Summary:  Homeowner stated that her home warranty company sent a subcontracted repair man to her home to do work on her furnace.  After the repair man left she realized that several pieces of fine jewelry were missing from her jewelry box. 

 

WEST TOWNSHIPS

 

1/30     Location:  300 block of Vista Drive                                       DuPage

            Summary:  Armani L. Moore, age 19, of 324 Vista Drive in Bolingbrook was cited for obstructing justice and was held on an active Will County warrant.

 

            Location:  12000 block of S. Aero Drive                               Plainfield

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into a work van and stole a Smith torch kit. 

 

2/3       Location:  14000 block of S. Oakdale Circle                         Plainfield

            Summary:  Michael M. Alvarado, age 24, of 1073 Port Royal Road in Pingree Grove, IL was arrested for criminal damage to property and resisting arrest.

 

SOUTH TOWNSHIPS

 

2/2       Location:  21000 block of W. Grand Avenue                        Wilmington

            Summary:  David K. Wells, age 49, of 21605 W. Grand Avenue in Wilmington was arrested for criminal trespass to residence.

 

LOCKPORT

 

2/1       Location:  3100 block of Canal St.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2018 Polaris RZR, a 3500 watt generator and miscellaneous riding gear from a trailer.  A second trailer was also broken into.  Stolen from that trailer was a 2004 Yamaha Banchie, a 2016 Polaris RZR, a Yamaha generator S2000, and miscellaneous riding gear.  A lock had been cut to the gate surrounding the property.

 

HOMER GLEN

 

1/29     Location:  W. 159^th and S. Cedar Road

            Summary:  Daniel Y. Choi, age 24, of 6S41 Naper Blvd. in Naperville was cited for improper passing, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.

 

2/3       Location:  W. 143^rd St. and S. Greystone Drive

            Summary:  Jesse Zolnierczyk, age 47, of 13030 Holmes Drive in Palos Park was cited for improper lane usage and driving while license suspended.

 

EAST TOWNSHIPS

 

1/29     Location:  E. Richton and S. Walden                         Crete

            Summary:  While on routine patrol, deputies observed an abandoned 2003 BMW on the side of the road.  Upon checking it out, they discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Cassolpolis, Michigan.

 

            Location:  23000 block of S. Plum Valley Drive                   Crete

            Summary:  Person/s unknown stole a 2009 Pontiac Vibe from the driveway of a residence.  The vehicle was unlocked and had the keys inside it at time of theft.

 

            Location:  24000 block of S. Walden Lane                            Crete

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a passport and a garage door opener.

 

            Location:  24000 block of S. Plum Valley Drive                   Crete

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle, used the garage door opener that was inside the vehicle to open the garage door.   Nothing appeared to be missing.

 

            Location:  2600 block of E. Shady Grove Court                    Crete

            Summary:  Person/s unknown entered an unlocked vehicle and stole several employee work uniform items, and miscellaneous coins.  The offender/s also opened the garage door with the opener that was inside the vehicle and stole a leather and wool jacket. 

 

1/30     Location:  1800 block of W. Norfolk Avenue                                    Crete

            Summary:  Mark A. Howell, age 56, of 1730 W. Maple Lane in Crete was arrested for disobeying a stop sign, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, DUI, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

            Summary:  Person/s unknown broke into a residence and stole a wedding band.

 

2/3       Location:  State St. and E. 34^th St.                                                      Crete

            Summary:  Kurt Stevenson, age 51, of 3128 223^rd Place in Sauk Village was cited for driving while license suspended.

 

            Location:  E. 34^th St. and Chicago Road                                            Crete

            Summary:  Justin Kelley, age 23, of 416 W. 34^th St. in Steger was cited for suspended registration and no registration light.

 

2/4       Location:  1900 block of W. Exchange St.                                        Crete

            Summary:  Deandre Fulton, age 27, of 14715 S. Kenwood Avenue in Dolton was cited for driving while license suspended.
