On Sunday afternoon, Will County Sheriff's deputies seized 22.7 lbs. of methamphetamine after a routine traffic stop.
Around 2:20pm, while deputies were on patrol on I80, they observed a Cadillac changing lanes without using a turn signal and crossing over the solid line onto the shoulder of the highway. Deputies conducted a traffic stop where they spoke with the driver, Henry Deunas, age 46, of Desert Hot Springs, California. Deunas was questioned at the scene and a search of his vehicle was conducted. A plastic bin was observed inside the vehicle where eight packages containing methamphetamine was discovered. The total weight of the packages was (10.27kg) 22.7lbs. The street value of the meth would be approximately $245,000.
Deunas was taken into custody and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, and possession with intent to deliver.
