This morning, 3/31/17, at 8:48am  Will County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to Schoolhouse Road, north of Rt. 30, New Lenox Township, for a two vehicle accident with injuries.  Upon arrival deputies observed a Chevy Silverado with a trailer attached in the west ditch and a Subaru facing southbound on Schoolhouse Road.  The Subaru was against the guard rail on the east side of the road.   New Lenox Fire arrived and removed the driver of the Subaru, a male, age 41, who was pinned in the driver's seat.  The driver of the Silverado, a male, age 42,  and his passenger, also a male, age 30, were treated by paramedics at the scene and signed refusals for further medical treatment.   

The Will County Coroner's Office arrived on the scene and pronounced the 41 year old man deceased.

The Will County Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit remains on the scene and is investigating the accident.   Initial reports indicate that the driver of the Silverado may have lost control before striking the Subaru.   Citations are pending.      -end-
