Will County Sheriff Mike Kelley is announcing the arrest of 50 year old, George M. Guzlas, of 2708 Lawrence Avenue in Lockport Township.   On March 8, 2018 Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a Lockport residence where they spoke to the father of two teenage girls.  The father told deputies that his daughters had just informed him that about three years prior they had both been sexually assaulted multiple times by their neighbor, George Guzlas.  The assaults took place when one of the girls was between the ages of 10 and 11 years old, and when the other girl was between the ages of 7 through 11 years old.  

Will County Sheriff's Detectives immediately began an investigation.  Detectives were able to secure a search warrant for Guzlas and served that warrant at his home yesterday at 4:00pm.  Guzlas was brought in for questioning and was ultimately arrested with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault.   He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility where he is awaiting bond court today at 1:30pm.   -end-
