General Information
The Will County Sheriff's Office is striving to make this site as accessible as possible. It is the desire of the Sheriff's Office to provide an easy to use and understand web site. The Sheriff's Office is continually evaluating the web site and web technology to better establish a site that can reach as many people as possible. We hope that this new design will be accessible for everyone.
Helpful Keyboard Commands
The following chart lists some common keyboard commands to help navigate through a web page.

Changing Text Size
With most of the modern browsers you can use CTRL + + ( For Windows: Hold down the Control Key and press the plus sign to increase the font size one level ) or Command + + ( For Mac: Hold down the Command Key and press the plus sign to increase the font size one level ) and CTRL + - ( For Windows: Hold down the Control Key and press the minus sign to decrease the font size one level ) or Command + - ( For Mac: Hold down the Command Key and press the minus sign to decrease the font size one level ).
Searching a Web Page
Most modern browsers allow you to search through the text of a web page. Below you will find the key commands to open the search box to search within a web page.

Icon Legend
Throughout the web site you will see small icons next to links to help identify an attribute associated with that link. The following legend will help to explain what each icon means.
- represents a link that will open a new browser window and / or take you away from the Sheriff's Office site to a different web site.
- represents that the link will open your default email application to allow you to send an email to the specified address in the link.
- represents that the link is for a PDF file and will open in the associated reader software.
- represents a multimedia link. This link can be for video, audio, or other media based links.
